"Sure, it's no problem," Lepus said, nodding, "Was that why you called us out here? Aside from missing that other thing you were talking about- with your speech, I mean." She wondered if she should offer to add Scylla as a contact on her senshi phone, but figured that the older woman would probably get around to that subject soon enough. Meanwhile, Etoile was currently in the process of trying to sneak another donut out of the box, the little cat having finished the one she had been given earlier, and the hot chocolate that had been poured for her.

"Actually, the missing the little get-together was the whole reason." Scylla gestured to two small envelopes. "Just a small thank you for showing up when I asked for help. I could give the speech again, if you wanted it, but it was a bit overly grand and silly. It might have been better that you missed it." She leaned over, tugging the last sprinkled donut out of the box and breaking it up for Etoile to inhale more easily, pouring a little more cocoa into the lid and blowing on it briefly before setting the lid back down for the feline. It was all done with the barest actual attention to the task- a mother's automated response. "I haven't been around in a while," she admitted to the senshi, lifting up the sprinkled donut she had set aside for herself at last, leaving the chocolate iced and the crueller in the box, "Some large part of me wasn't sure if the SOS button actually meant anything. So those people who responded and didn't run away... even if they came on accident, or because they saw an enemy they really don't like... they're people I'm curious about and want to meet."

"I've never used the button myself," Lepus said, reaching for the envelopes, looking them over, "I mean, I guess that's technically a good thing? Not having to use it." "I was with Onnie at the time- me and Etoile- when we got the distress call on our phones. She kinda dragged us there, though we got separated for a bit, the three of us." It was a good thing that none of them had gotten hurt or gotten involved in any actual combat, but Lepus had always wondered since then as to what had drawn so many Order and Chaos-aligned individuals to that location that day.

Lepus would find the cards heavy upon lifting them. Inside each was a well made card and a visa gift card, for them to buy something- perhaps sweets for Etoile, Jada was suspecting now. "That is a very good thing," Jada agreed. "I didn't want to have to use it at all, even though I suspected I might." It had been their only way of signaling their few planned allies. She had never expected it would bring in the others it had. "I don't think I have met Onnie yet. I need to." the senshi leaned over, gripping a small bag and pulling out a handful of cards that she had left. Yes- there was Onnie. "Have you had anyone cause your problems about that night? Any Negaverse agents being a problem more than usual?" Scylla hadn't met any pushback, and wasn't sure if anyone else had. It had been suspiciously quiet, and while she wasn't complaining, it also made her wonder. This was a personal thing, she was sure, but the absolute lack of response was... unexpected.

She wasn't expecting the call that came, and her body jerked with surprise that she'd be getting contacted this late at night. What? "Excuse me for a moment," she told the other senshi, and stepped over to take the call, murmuring into the phone, lips pursing at the person on the other end.
After a moment, she stepped back, frowning. "I'm so sorry, Lepus, Etoile- I need to run off, something's come up. I'm so sorry." Scylla gathered up her card bag, pushing the donuts closer to the duo. "I'll reach out to you soon, okay?"
And with that she darted into the night, rushing towards where her car was parked.
