With a minor head tilt to the elders Ai led the way from the training grounds and into the wilderness. She plucked her way over upturned roots, gnarled stones and past lumbering limbara.
"Do you have any idea as to what it is I hunt, Pruu?"

Pruu gave one last look to the others as training for them began to resume. With a tiny smile, she turned to follow after Ai. The sounds of the training dimmed, and she looked ahead curiously. "I suppose I do not specifically know what it is, no. I had assumed it would be the food that we usually hunt for."

Syn and Faust moved atop their mistress' shoulders as she moved. One undulated down to the skull she kept around her waist, settling itself atop it while slithering it's tail between the eye sockets. The other was keen to stay atop her shoulders and watch Pruu with a hardened eye.
"If you hunt for food you take a spear or a bow; not a sword." Ai picked her way through the brush, moving lower the further she went from camp. Her voice was softer now, as if she might be heard by unwanted company. "I hunt for Yaeli and other trespassers who come too close. Do you still want to come now?"

Pruu couldn't help being intrigued by the steady words, her gaze shifting between the keldari and the Alk. She hunted for food often enough with her swords. Why-? The reveal was like a physical force in her mind, her eyes widening. The Yeali and trespassers... She looked down at her blades for a single moment, and then quickly back up. She and the blades had chosen each other. "I do," she said firmly. To defend their land and be one of those to ensure the Yeali knew their place. The Elaria were the ones born of the land, not those pathetic creatures.

Cornetified 10/10 for Ai, so we can fade out after Pruu's post and have it like they went off for the hunt 83
So when the younger warrior agreed to still go with her she gave a little smile. "Then follow my rules; we do not torture, and you leave no one left alive. There can be no survivors to warn the others, do you hear me? If you leave one alive you will be punished. If you torture an enemy who tried to defend itself you will be punished. There are no exceptions." Stopping she turned to Pruu, "If you accept, we can begin the hunt."

The more Ai spoke, the more Pruu felt certain that she was doing the right thing. There was nothing Ai said that she disagreed with; the Elarian youth had no interest in torture, she preferred quick kills, and was quite aware of the dangers that even one survivor could pose. When Ai turned to face her, Pruu raised her chin. She was ready to truly fight for her sisters and cousins, she was sure of it! Gripping the handle of one of her daggers to keep it at the ready, she gave a solemn nod. "Lead the way, cousin."
