Giulia nodded, as though she actualy had half a clue what Ara was trying to explain. Most the time when people saw things, they got locked up for being craze, and Lucia wasn't crazy, the was magical. If she started seeing things, that would be a lot more work for Giulia.... "Jada doesn't burn much of anything except candles." Giulia shrugged. "I know some of the help has all lurchies to smells and stuff so maybe the lurchies are why? Or maybe she just doesn't like it?" Giulia couldn't say for sure. She'd have to make herself a small note to ask- if no one around had any all lurchies, maybe they could burn some in since? But Lucia was moving on, and Giulia toddled after her older friend quickly, her little shoes only adding the faintest bit of color in the intense light and bright that surrounded the two young girls. A magic building would be awful nice, especially if it didn't get worn down and gross. But with no one here to appreciate it, what had been the point? Why hadn't the magic died, or gone away, or gone to sleep? Then again it was magic, not a person, so maybe she was giving it too much credit, but in the movies, something always went wrong right about now. The palace was beautiful, and expensive, and shiny. The blonde pranced after her friend with happy contentment to be taken on a grand tour. "Do you think a princess lived here in the palace, Lucia? Do you think that since the inn since and the palace are in good shape, there might be real princess dresses to try on and wear?!" she sat down carefully next to Ara and leaned in to bump shoulders, trying not to yawn. Giulia was having a big girl adventure.

"All-lurchies suck, that's too bad but candles still smell really nice." She didn't really understand what allergies were but she knew it meant you couldn't be near certain stuff like peanuts.
"It is a palace right? So a princess must have lived here, with a king and queen." She reasoned, after all palaces were the homes of princesses so it only made since that when there were people here a princess must have lived here. "This is our kingdom, we'll be princesses here." She said definitively
"Only one way to find out." She slid out of the throne and waited for Giulia to join her. They made there way down what looked like a hallway till they reached a pair of white doors with golden lion head knockers, this seemed like an important room. Opening the door she was greeted with the sight of a room with Alabaster walls and a white marble floor. The roof was made of mother of pearl with a large sapphire representing the moon and diamonds representing the shinning stars. There was a princess style bed made out of intricately cut crystal with a swan down mattress and red silk drapes above it. There were two closets that were shut and a fire place. Above the fireplace was a picture of a woman who looked very similar to Ara however she was much older and had pointed ears, she wore a very fine white roman style dress. Her golden hair was up in a braided bun.

Giulia nodded. Stupid lurchies, taking away the in sense. It could be so much fun to be able to have lots of different things to smell any time. "Candles can be pretty too," she allowed, "and they can float and go in the water with you and pretend to be lights when the power goes out in a storm." Giulia peered down the palace hall, wondering what it might have felt like to be a princess in such a pretty palace. She almost didn't want to touch anything in case she left smudges and it began to fall apart. Even if it was magical and might not break like old stuff on Earth it was still really old... And shiny and pretty! "Princesses!" she agreed in delight, and lifted her hand, pretending there were lots of people, giving a really princessey wave. "I suppose there could have been handsome princes. Do you think there were handsome princes, Lucia?" But the other princess was right- there was a only one way to find out the answer to these questions she held. Slipping off the throne after one last regal wave to her invisible audience, Giulia rushed across the floor and danced down the hallway Ara was leading her to happily, spinning and helping the older girl push open the door they came to. The room within was pristine and also opulent, and a shimmery bed and- "Ara! Look! Is that you? Were you a princess? Or a queen? That would be cool. I am only kind of a princess, you might have had a title once!" Giulia could almost be jealous, except that Ara wasn't a princess anymore... If she had been, once, and all her people were gone... That was just sad.

"Candles can float? But I thought water put out fire?" This was an amazing revelation for Ara and she would have to test it when she went home.
Ara thought for a moment. "It's possible oh or maybe handsome princes came from other planets try to win the love of this planets princess. Oh or maybe they joined her court like King Arthur." All of those would be wonderful if true, she hoped it was and maybe she would get a memory of it.
"I...I don't know." She touched the picture as once again the world changed before her eyes. She was now relaxing on the bed a book of some sort in her hands while a fire burned in the fireplace. Someone knocked on the door. "Lady Lux your mother requests your presence in the war room." The voice called out and the woman mumble a reply as she slide out of bed. Ara came out of the vision much quicker this time. "Lux, I think was her name." She looked at the woman it was so strange she wore the same face and the same eyes as Ara but she couldn't shake the feeling that they were two very different people. "Well whatever she was we're different people even if we have the same soul.. You and me are the new princess here remember." She said with a smile as she went to explore the room. She opened up one of the closets and found a room full of togas and dresses, Grecian shoes, and lots of jewelry and accessories.
"I think I found the princess dresses." She said excitedly.

"Some can! They look like little boats with a little thingy for the fire and then they overflow but the water hardens the melty wax until they are all funny-shaped." At least, that was what kind of happened with hers, but Giulia didn't get to have candles in her bath with her often. "Not just any candle will work." The idea of a prince and a tour-knee and joutsting and all those romantic little duels made her eyes go practically starry with excitement; and it let her miss Ara's next 'creepy' episode. "Lux?" the name was... interesting, and so Giulia gave a little shrug. Finding the clothes was fun, and Giulia peered in with Lucia at the wardrobe she had opened. It was all really different, too! All in such nice shape. There must be lots of magic still here. "Are there picture books?" Giulia asked curiously, "Like a big library with books?" maybe they would be able to dress up and go to the library and read lot of picture books. It was a palace, after all.

"You have to show me them next time we play at your house, promise!" She begged excitedly. She wanted to see these magic sounding candle boats. She wondered if she could convince her mommy to buy some for her.
Ara shrugged "I think it was Lux anyways."
Ara had a lot of fun trying on the pretty dresses albeit they were way to big for either of the girls to wear as a normal dress. It was like when Lucia would play dress up with her mommy' clothes, which normally as long she didn't touch her makeup her mom allowed.
Ara let out a yawn. "I'm not sure but maybe we should look next time, we've been here for a while we should probably head back." She said after she put away the dresses. She held out her hand for Giulia to take. "Lets go back."

"Promise! And next time we do a sleep-over, I'll ask Jada to let us both have special candle baths before we go to bed." Giulia nodded solemnly, offering up one rainbow-nailed pinkie. "Pinkie swear!" There was no way Giulia would let the chance to show off something she knew about that her older best friend hadn't. "Lux isn't a bad name. It sounds Roman, I guess." Giulia felt like a princess as they tried on the dresses, and she did her very best to hide her yawns as she got more and more sleepy from a long, exciting day. Finally, though, they put their new clothes away, and the littler girl reached out to take Lucia's hand. "This was really fun," she said, right before living a large, deep yawn, "Thank you for bringing me." Giulia would love to do it again sometime.
