Her snarl actually pierced the hybrid's heart. In frustration Kian grip tightened on Rhonann, " You're wrong. The problem is that I do f---ng care." He replied sharply, " Why the hell would I be in a pit trap with you if I didn't? Why they hell would I put myself in danger over and over..." The mystic's gaze sharpened, " Do I have to pull the damn moon down for you to make you realize that..." Kian stopped and let out a sigh, " Let me see the leg, now." His tone for once was far from joking as he tugged her sharply down onto the ground, " Sit and behave for once while I take care of this. You're no good to anyone outside of this pit if you've bled to death by then. So stop fighting me and let me take care of your stubborn a**."So much for teasing her about staying down here longer. Kian grit his teeth as he glanced over her leg, " Bite this." He untied his sash and held it out to the woman, " Tightly so you don't hurt yourself because this will hurt like hell." He glanced up towards her, " I need to put the bone back into place before I do any healing and my healing ability is basic so best I can do for you is to snap it into place and then mend the wound. If I heal it right now as it is you'll have a crooked leg for life. So we'll have to do some basic things first that will not be pleasant. Healing magic never was my forte, but I can do this much at least. Alright?"

"Yeah... Why are ya here?" she questioned. What the heck drove the damned man to do what he did? She couldn't understand him in the slightest! The tug made her yelp with surprise, wincing when she hit the ground again. The fire was dying down the slightest bit, so she sat and aimed a glare filled with daggers at him.
Bite...? Oh. Crap. Something was dislocated then... Taking the sash, she folded it a few times to make it thicker. "Better fix it," she grumbled before biting down and taking a deep breath in preparation.

Kian's brows furrowed in frustration at her question, " For fun, obviously." He quipped in bad humor, " I enjoy throwing my life on the line to watch over you." Better than any looping ride since he never knew if the next drop would actually kick him out of the seat or not. Taking a deep breath the man simply stared at Rhonann before saying something sincere, " Just think about it. Why would you throw yourself in danger for someone over and over? Let me know what reasons you think of and if you can guess correctly then maybe I'll agree." Just like a riddle he couldn't even express himself properly. Not that he even knew exactly how far his feelings went. He had never experienced such things before nor did he actually have a chance to spend peaceful time with the woman to figure them out. The festival, the only pleasant time between the two of them without someone trying to kill either of them, had been stirring but what if that was simply only excitement? All he knew was that he still owed it to help her for all of his past tricks that he had played on her. It was more than that, but Kian shook the thought away. Survival came first and mushy things could be sorted out later. " Don't worry I will." Kian took another calming breath before glancing at Rhonann, " Brace yourself...now!" Moving in one fluid motion he moved her ankle so that it snapped loudly. Snapping his fingers the man hovered a hand over her injury so that the cut began to stick itself up under his magic, " Close..." Sweat actually beaded on his brow as the cut healed and he did as good as he could, the cut fading as much as it could before leaving a small gash that would take a day or two to finish healing completely, before leaning backwards with a sigh. " Now that I'm exhausted try not to maul me so I can rest and try to get us out of here. I just need to close my eyes for a few moments..." Maybe if not for the battle then he could have done the healing without much of a problem, but tapping into a magic that was the opposite of his nature after taking a few serious blows? That was a strain on even him.

While she heard Kian's words, Rho kept the snarl on her face. Better to seem angry than to show the turmoil suddenly in her chest. He couldn't be serious. All those other times, he was surely just trying to save his own hide! He didn't put himself in danger for her sake! Not after all that crap he pulled!
..but...what else but news of a certain crew of bandits could have led Kian to this very place though? Could he...? She squeezed her eyes shut against the tears that wanted to sneak out, and the impulse was thankfully covered by the yank on her leg. She shrieked out through the sash, fingers digging into the ground at the sharp pain. Almost instantly though, warmth spread through the ankle with things put back into place. She forced one eye open to look, focusing on the gash being healed up. A smaller wound was left in its place, and her ankle was swollen but already looking better. Maybe that meant nothing had actually broken? At least, not broken anymore...
After a moment of chewing the sash from frustration, she calmed herself enough to let it drop. "You kiddin'? Now's perfect fer maulin' yer sorry butt," she huffed. As much as she wanted to.. she instead flopped to lie back as well. She was dizzy from blood loss and emotions. Was Kylldra even really there? Was Kian really there... for her? Gods, the thought seemed mad! He couldn't.. Not really...
"Ye're impossible," she grumped, turning onto her side so that her back was to Kian. For the moment, she had to focus on how they would get out of this mess. Kian's reasoning's made no difference...

Perhaps something had clicked in that stubborn head of her's. Kian pursed his lips and suppressed the urge to say something about her reaction. Instead he focused simply on healing her ankle so that he could get what was necessary now out of the way. Words and feelings....those things could wait until they were out of danger. Or at least until his head stopped spinning. Kian's brow furrowed as he tried to concentrate on their surroundings. Dammit what bad timing. He really hadn't been prepared to fight today, his body was still exhausted from other spars along the road.
"It looks better...that's good." As Rho talked the man chuckled, "I know you wanna maul, but you can wait until we get out of this place and away from others who are wanting to kill us." Though as she grumped and turned away from him the hybrid found his body falling forward. In the tiny pit it was hard to really spread out and so his head landed near her legs as his eyes closed for a short nap.

Rho peeked over her shoulder once when she heard the thud to the ground. Still breathing... Vanishing was one thing, but he surely wouldn't go and die on her while in this kind of situation. Rather uncomfortable with the idea of the both of them sleeping while trapped in this pit, she couldn't help her own eyes drifting closed.
She could have slept for hours, but her body was still on edge. It was only a short nap before her eyes fluttered open again. Still facing the wall of the pit, she only listened silently for a moment to see if Kian was moving, or anyone else. Slowly, she sat up to look at her ankle. It was quite bruised, but otherwise seemed to be fine. Even the big cut was just a scar now...

Admittedly Kian may have taken the opportunity to rest his head against Rho's hip while she napped. And he may have also quickly removed his head from the dangerous territory once the woman stirred. Playing innocent the mystic stretched his arms above his head as he woke up, "Good morning." He teased quietly before sitting up himself, "Hear anything?" He asked as he leaned forward as well to try and get a sense of what was above them. The ground was quiet as well, even as he touched his fingers against the dirt the mystic couldn't sense any other life around them save for the beasts.
"So what now? Do we sit around some more, swap stories in the pit for a bit before continuing on?" He quipped lightly as he glanced towards Rho,"Share on our feelings? Explain to me, why you're out here after dangerous people again? Or do we just climb out and go on our way? I'm guessing the last option is more preferable, yes?"

Good morning? Rho glared back at Kian with no humor. There was nothing good about this! Nope! Nothing! "Seems quiet up there," she said, blowing out a forceful breath to stifle a yawn before pushing herself up to stand, carefully putting weight onto her bruised leg. ..It was like it had only been bumped rather than broken. Sighing, she gestured to her leg vaguely. "Thanks fer fixin' that," she said, trying to not sound sarcastic or ungrateful. ..It just stunk, having to thank Kian for anything.
"I think we've done enough sitting," she huffed She bristled when explanations came up, but with her head clear again, getting into such a discussion when stuck in the little pit.. it would just be bad all around. ...Oh well. "Ya want me ta explain why I'm here?" she asked sharply. "I'm not the jerk who keeps vanishin' fer no reason! Ya come here spouting stuff about throwin' yerself in danger fer me, but all ya do is run away. I don't need a livin' shield showin' up only when arrows fly, Kian." Growling out loud to vent, she crossed her arms and dropped onto her butt, glaring hard at the hybrid. "Ya mentioned the moon? Yes. Pull down the da--ed moon and tell me what's rattling 'round in tha' thick skull of yers. Tell me why in the blazes ya think I should show any happiness in ya poppin' up again." Harsh.. but she was hurting. Seeing him sitting there, so close and yet so far, was more painful than she would ever admit. As soon as they climbed out of here, he would just be gone again...

Kian raised a brow before simply nodding, "You're welcome." He replied quietly before adding on, "Can't really carry you all the way out of here so it's not like I had much choice." The sincerity had once more been swept under the rug with another casual statement.
"Run....run away?" The mystic tilted his head in complete bafflement at the sudden outburst of truth, "I.... His expression shifted as a flood of thoughts and feelings crossed each other, "When I left..." His different colored gaze darkened, "No, I won't make excuses." His fingers curled into his palms as he clenched his hands into tight fists at his sides. No joking, no sarcastic remark, no manipulation...could he do it? This was the first time he could be completely honest with the woman standing before him. The first time since losing Nerio, since reuniting truly with his twin, since deciding to become a better man. It was rather overwhelming to be honest.
The hybrid took the few possible steps closer to Rho and knelt next to her, "What do you need me to be then. Rhonnan?" His gaze was thoughtful as he reached to touch her arm, "I would hope that you have some happiness in seeing me as I do when I see you." The confession was slow and felt awkward for the man who normally threw out honeyed lies and twists of truth. Still, it was the truth and he was determined to push through it. What would be the point of climbing out of the pit unless they resolved things? He couldn't protect her, couldn't solve these issues if she wanted to stab him during all of it.
"I am sorry if my last disappearance hurt you. I had some things to deal with that....have taught me a lot." Kian sighed as his fingers carefully dropped from Rhonann's arm, "I'm a complicated man who has done a lot of things that may not reflect kindly upon me. Many may hate me, a few may have cursed me into their graves, but I do know one thing - I never meant to harm you. Mess with you certainly, but never harm you." The hybrid frowned, "This is the worst place to talk about these things, but I suppose it has to be done correct?"
He sighed and moved so that he was directly in front of her. This way he could stare directly into her eyes as he knelt there and reached for her hand. Gently he worked so that he could pry her arms apart so that he could hold onto both hands in his own, "Call me an idiot, smack me around for the things that I have done to you but I am sincerely sorry. I did want to help you and still do. I just...after that last fight I was so afraid of losing you that it made me desperate for power and I did some stupid things..." His voice trailed off, "A very stupid thing that kept me from finding you easily again, but now here I am and I am determined to protect you if you'll have me. I promise no more disappearing without a trace and no more manipulations. I want to be honest with you Rho because I do care for you....a lot." He paused and glanced at her sheepishly, "And from the amount of anger at me disappearing I feel like you may have some sort of caring for me....potentially....just a little seed to give me hope?"

'What do you need me to be then. Rhonnan?'
The question caught Rho by surprise as she glared at the man, pulling just slightly from the touch to her arm. She opened her mouth to give some sort of snarky reply, but found herself huffing heavily instead, gaze shifting away slightly. She had felt that spark of happiness at seeing him again, and it burned. Was.. he actually happy to see her as well?
...What did she need?
Her blue eyes were bright and sharp as they made the shift back to Kian. How much of this could she allow herself to believe? Part of her wanted to trust him, but the louder part continued to doubt and be suspicious. He was just going to leave again.
The touch to her hands made her brow knit tightly, but this time she did not pull back. Her hands rested in Kian's, albeit quite stiffly, while she listened with that stuck-on glare to the confessions. Desperate for power... only a little better than herself trying to use power that she didn't have. To be honest, this did feel different from other times. ..maybe she just wanted to believe too much that it was different..
A steady flush rose along her cheeks as the topic turned a little more personal. "I ain't havin' ya, ya creep. Don't talk like ye're proposin' a weddin' 'r somethin'." she snorted, turning her face away with a solid pout on her lips. She wanted him to care... "Maybe potentially some sort," she found herself muttering, her throat tight. "Jerk like you gotta earn it."
Brow knitting again, she glanced back to Kian with a look of concerned curiosity. "Mind tellin' me what was so stupid ya did? ..Did ya get the power ya wanted?"

Oh why the hell had he even bothered? Surely it was from the daze that spending his magic had left him in else Kian would have never made such an irrational decision. Talking about feelings? Him? It was definitely not in his typical character to do such a thing unless he was pulling someone's string. Yet here he was being sincere about how he felt....it was odd. And he knew that Rhonann probably thought the same way. She probably is expecting me to pull a fast one on her. Which with the rate he was going at then he might. Simply so he could pace himself and not become a mess just by seeing the Satuian woman.
But if he left again...Kian had the feeling he wouldn't be getting any more chances ever. If he even had one now. A chance for what though? Even he wasn't certain what he wanted in life especially when it came to this woman. Someone that he had placed himself in danger for countless times, someone he had kissed, been smacked and even shot by, and someone that he always found himself drifting back towards. It was crazy how he went from being simply entertained by this reckless woman to actually caring for her. The thought surprised even him as he stared at her.
He wanted to reach out and brush those wild strands of hair back into place and then trail that hand down a cheek so that he could hold her face and press his lips on her own. Kian's gaze trailed thoughtfully towards her lips and a small smile flickered across his expression, "Wouldn't expect you to say anything less." He actually reached up to tuck one of those strands behind an ear before her question made him pause.
"It's something...I'm not quite fully capable of talking about yet." He admitted, his hand and gaze lowering towards the ground. "The power wasn't worth it..." He shook his head and glanced towards the skies that were darkening above them, "We should get out of this pit else we'll be spending the night and I don't want to think about what more thugs will be coming this way then. We should go." Kian's expression was torn as he finally glanced towards Rhonann. He wanted to do more, but the timing....and his own shadowed heart still made the man hesitate. Happiness wasn't meant for him right? Wasn't that way he had guarded her from the shadows these last few weeks instead of revealing himself? I'm such a fool. And for once he truly believed in those words especially as he let go and stood away from her to focus on how to get them out of this trap.

Rho watched the rising hand warily. She would want to press against it if it touched... Thankfully, her question seemed to make Kian retreat. Not capable of talking about yet? The power wasn't worth it? What the blazes did that all mean?! Kian's distress on the topic seemed sincere.. but would she really be able to tell if it was or not?
Huffing, she pushed herself back up to stand again, chin lifting to look up at the rim of the pit they were stuck in. "Tell me ya know how ta get outta here," she grumped, picking at the hard stone surrounding them. No handholds anywhere...

Kian let out a sigh. So much for being suave about things. Maybe I did hit my head when we fell into this mess. Pinching the bridge of his nose Kian held a hand out towards Rho, "Shh, I'm thinking." Then after a moment he groaned, "Nope, can't think of a solution." The mystic pursed his lips before turning on his heel to fully face Rhonann, "Did you want something? Sorry got lost in my thoughts." In a split second though he had his hands up, "Joking of course, I was totally trying to figure out how to get out of this extremely complicated pit trap." She would maul him if she realized that this trap was the least of his concerns at the moment. But it seemed she wasn't even phased by his words so Kian just shrugged it off. I'll plead stress or insanity for those actions. "Can you trust me?" Kian held a hand out towards Rhonann, "Trust me and I'll get us out of here."

Watching the hybrid with narrowed eyes, she briefly entertained the idea of sucker punching that cute face of his. Wouldn't be so cute after that~ Snorting, her own gaze rose again, mind thinking its usual contrary thoughts. The pit itself wasn't complicated! Just.. getting out seemed to be....
Trust? Her head snapped around with wide eyes, staring at the offered hand. "Trust the untrustworthy an' get out, or don't trust nothin' an' stay stuck? Ain't much of a choice," she huffed, reaching out to take his hand anyway. She wanted to trust... Why did she still want to trust?

"Could always stay here and just climb out along the walls like some animal." Quipped Kian lightly as he pulled the woman against his chest. There was less time for talking as magic pulsed around them and formed wind beneath their feet. For a split second it was magical, almost as if they were flying and Kian had his arms tightly around Rhonann to keep her safe from any possible threats as they rose out of the pit. For a second it was like a picture with the way the wind whipped around them and with how tenderly he held her in his arms.... Or not. As soon as they cleared the pit Kian unceremoniously let go of Rhonann and she dropped the few inches towards the ground, "Don't want to burn too much of my powers - we have to try and check out that camp. Do you even know what you're looking for other than blood?" It was an abrupt question, but an honest one. Did they simply destroy them or was there some motive, something for justice rather than just pure revenge?
