Giulia sniffed in concern, but quickly forgave her friend once the promise was made. And then the hug. "Of course I will!" she exclaimed happily. "I'll be a very careful sidekick too. So careful, I promise. No one will know I am there except for you. None of the bad people will get me." Besides, she was a princess. She had a ton of guardians already. Bad people would have to work really hard to hurt princess Giulia!

Giggling, the girl said, "I know a way out I think. I've seen Jada sneak out in her car some nights. Besides, you could always sleep over or I could sleep over and we could sneak out together." it was a terribly easy solution.

Lucia had a nice house. As they entered, Giulia peered around. "Hello Lucia's mommy!" she called cheerfully, "Amelie asked if I could have you call her when I got here, do you mind please?"

And then she hurried after Lucia, bouncing eagerly.

Giulia beamed at her older friend, skipping hapily alongside, all the lights on shoes and backpack sparkling.

This was the best day. She was so excited!

"Thank you Miss Lucia's mommy," Giulia said cheerfully; she wasn't supposed to call grown ups by their name, but she had a hard time saying Lucia's last name. "I love snacks!"

But then she was toddling happily after her best friend, dropping her fairy backpack and shoes off right inside Lucia's room before chasing her across the floor. "We should play where people are examining animals in the wild," she told Lucia excitedly, "I just got a book about hippo potter mouses."
