Caleb nodded. “Learn together and test the waters…yeah. I like that.” He liked all of this. He liked feeling like a person again, liked…not being the robot that he was becoming in the company of…well…only robots…
“I think…you’ve saved me from a pretty lonely, pretty awful life, Xi…thank you…”
He snuggled against his new…new boyfriend and sighed happily, taking his hand and lacing fingers with him. This felt…more right than anything that he was used to…and if he had his way, this would continue for a long, long time. Maybe forever, if he could swing it.

“Same here…” And he meant it. Caleb was saving him aswell...from a life of distant people, kept at a distance by him...a life of him looking in but not participating in the normal things. He’d do his best to enjoy this, to keep it going and nurture it while learning. Looking down at their intertwined fingers he gave a gentle squeeze.
“We should eat…” He said, knowing he was breaking the moment. But it was true - oh well.
