Meteora could only face palm as she watched and then listened to her fiance. "I love this man. I love this man. I love this man..." the words were a chant as she debated just continuing to walk on as Kai threw corny line after corny line up to whatever form was near them.
But it was the 'beat' comment that made her walk around the corner and grab him by his ear. "Kai, darling...if you are going to make threats, maybe you should first learn how to hold a beat yourself..."
That was when she gave him a wink and with a flick of her wrist, summoned her scarf. "But I would be curious to meet this blue lady who seems have found us....wouldn't you?"

Eternal Corrupt Chrysocolla of Moods
When she looked at Sinope, her face was stony, eyebrows drawn. "Someone agreed to come peacefully and join us -- they called for backup. It was a trap. Why do you want to know?" It was obvious, too, when she looked past him and spotted Kerberos; her shoulders tensed tight, and she obsessively pulled her hands through her ponytail, separating the strands - repetitive motions, over and over and over, maybe even the beginnings of a braid. Some kind of focus, to keep here here, to keep herself from floating somewhere else when all her thoughts went fingers-cold numb around her throat and her head started to hurt.
"If you're not with us, you're against us. Go home. You won't do any good here unless you want to grab the White Moon and hold them down long enough for a Queen to get here. We're -- we're not some kind of zoo exhibit to be gawked at just because of what we are."
HP: 210 / 210 DMG: 0 Effects: N/A NRG: 60/60, carrying two energy orbs (+10)
If Titanite was a lesser woman, she might be offended by the way that Kai so casually dusted her youma. "I knew you could handle it, Red." Titanite's heavily accented voice lilted with humor. "It is a fun night, is it not? Interesting." her bright eyes flicked to the woman next to him, head tilting with curiosity. "That was the warm up round, I suppose. But tonight I am not in a position to be able to spar. You understand, I hope."
She had 'kicked off the party' as it were; now, it would be time to 'pick up the beat.' At least for a while. "Do not think ill of me for doing what I must when there are so many others of the Negaverse around. Perhaps," she grunted as she made contact with the knight, "I will buy you and your friend both a beer to apologize. A gift card?"
She tossed the pretty woman a wink as she punched her fiancee. "Titanite. I am quite pleased to meet you. Kairatos, you did not tell me you had such a lovely partner." her sass came out with a breathy laugh. A partner who apparently had to remind herself that she loved the man.
Titanite had to remind herself she loved men all the time- she understood.
Kai grunted as Titanite's fist made contact, her knuckle dusters leaving an nice mark where she left. "Or are we pretending this isn't a big damn game to begin with?" He swung a swift, clipped punch at her, mostly to try and knock her back from Meteora. "I mean watching you flirt with my partner is cute and all... and I can hardly blame you... but..."
Taken. "Meteora, meet Blue. Blue, Meteora."
Gift card he could handle though, if she wasn't kidding. This mess had made a mess out of date night. Goddamn corruptions.
Stepping back as the agent came through, Met couldn't help but smile even as she landed a punch square on him. "The pleasure is all mine, Titanite." Even though she held her scarf, she couldn't help but stand back a moment and watched the two.
"Though I have to admit I may take you up on the beer...I've lost count of how often our dates get ruined...So at this point," Her arms crossed under her chest and she grinned watching them. "I'm willing to see how Red and Blue duke it out. Afterall, would be a shame to keep him all to myself now. Might enjoy watching."
He punched her in the arm, and Titanite hissed, pretending to look wounded. She clearly wasn't, as her leg shot out, trying to hook him closer, and bring him in to her fist or something. "It is all a game," she agreed easily, "But I would much rather not be seen in such a public forum pretending this is not a game with someone that the people who can so easily kill me would frown upon."
She clarified by swiping at him again, cheerfully.
"I like flirting with your partner," she told Kai cheerfully, and turned her attention to Meteora. "I would shake your hand, but I am a little busy hitting your knight. I'd be happy to make it up to you another time." her grin was shameless, and her eyebrow waggle dramatic and clearly teasing.
Or was it?
And then she choked, ears catching up to her brain, and her laughter was pure delight. "Red, watch her around me. I like her." Was she supposed to be laughing? No, this was life or death. And her youma was still harassing the dark moon senshi. "A gift card and a beer. Meteora, it would be my pleasure, even if it will be with him, and not me. Always an option to change that, though."
I calculated in his defense in my damage calculation above. Also Titanite wants to steal your girl

"Are you for real? YES??! " Why shouldn't they make use of the sound to go with their fury? And how did Boring McTimidPants even know the correct name and call sign? It was pretttttty certain they'd never met, nor had any particular reasons to be familiar. Creeeeeeeepy. Well. This one was an eternal, anyway, and somehow supposed to be an example. But the Dark Mirror Senshi was next up for sounding off. The Dark Mirror had a reputation for actively getting in the WAY of a bunch of their operations. "Are YOU FOR REAL? Piss off, Mirror Witch! If you're not helping, you're hurting. Metallia's our Lead, so Follow or Get Out Of the Way."
And a captain was there, and enemies and people were already GETTING BUSY and they were MISSING IT.
"Less Talky, More Fighty!" The Senshi of Execution proclaimed and launched forward, aiming for the nard who didn't know how to get dressed for anything except bellydancing practice. A wild right hook went flying, "HEADS UP OR HEADS ROLLIN'!"
Hvergelmir missed the old days when she used to jog with Van. Not that this was a sentiment she harbored often -- mostly she enjoyed not exercising. Today, though, her feet hit the ground in a hard percussion, crossing the city at as much speed as her physical limitations permitted. Her feet stung for it: the soft flats she wore weren't meant for cross-training, and had little support for hard running. But she kept going.
There was an emergency signal from a sailor soldier Hvergelmir had never met, accompanied by a hard and bright convergence of so much energy that it could only signify a huge group of people all powered up -- all of that spelled bad news. Something big was going on.
Hvergelmir found herself closing in on the source of the disturbance, weaving in and out among groupings of row homes -- but as she got closer, it didn't immediately become clear what she'd find at the heart of the massive gathering of energy. She felt frustrated by the inability to see a clear path toward the locus of activity . . . and worse, soon enough, she could sense the pricklings of other energy signatures in the immediate area around her -- not all of them friendly.
Hvergelmir kept going, her side starting to pinch from running so hard. A few blocks down a road she saw one corrupted senshi, then another -- and then, mercifully, a flash of long, blue hair and the mysterious scent of asphodel.
"Kerberos!" she shouted, reaching out to grab his arm as she ran past, only slowing slightly. "What's going on here?"
Hvergelmir skidded to a stop at the foot of an old fire escape, its wrought iron rusty and forbidding. If they could get to higher ground, they'd be able to see what was going on -- and hopefully have an easier path of getting there unimpeded, too. A long leap took her up to the lowest landing of the fire escape, and from there, she began scrambling up the stairs towards the roof.
"Let's go this way!" she urged Kerberos after her, each of her footfalls clanging on metal.
If they could gain the roof, they'd be able to get a better sense of their surroundings -- and what advantages they could gain in getting to the heart of the problem.

There were operations that Leucite was never fond of. Being called in - hearing the call go out - for something like this? Yeah, that ranked up there as operations he was not fond of. But, he would stand by as support as need be - and hope that this all turned out well. What else could he do? He looked over his shoulder at Stibnite.
"Be ready for anything," He said, knowing she really didn't need him to say that, but it was more of a precursor for his actual order. "I want you to target stragglers - try to avoid getting into too big of a fight."
He kept his spear out and and at the ready, scanning the area, feeling the signatures around him and hearing the fighting that had already started.
"Stop yelling," Chrysocolla hissed, and her eyes squinched tight and she winced in pain - too loud, too loud, too loud - her hands moved in repetitions, not even really making a braid anymore, just anythin to keep herself grounded - and Haüyne ran off towards Kerberos and she watched them go, fists flying, eyes wide. She wanted to go after his shining compatriot, to pull out her starseed and look at the glitter-shimmer the way she'd done with Hyperborea, to hold her down for the Sovereigns - if they were both on him he'd have little chance, with so little fabric to protect him--
what is wrong with me? no, no, I don't want to hurt him, he's my friend --
her head hurt, like a million tiny hammers smashing chisels into her skull and looking at the shining underside, and Chrysocolla's hands went nerveless as they shook - her eyes were shut tight and she gave out little shuddering gasps for a few seconds, standing still, before she opened her eyes again and stepped back a foot -- scanning for auras, for easy prey. Haüyne had been sort of rude to her, anyways. Why was it her problem if they got magic'd into uselessness?

Hvergelmir. Of course he would be here - Kerberos lit up as soon as he saw her, because ti was easy to see her as a bright beacon of hope. Whatever was going on here, whatever that poor Knight being menaced by Schörl was in danger of, having Hver made him feel much more confident that they'd be able to stop it.
He cast one last, long look Chrysocolla's way, debating briefly whether he should redirect them - but...but there was no time. Chaos already had her; it would take a lot more than one conversation to bring her back.
'I'm sorry, Chrysocolla,' he thought. 'Someday. I promise.'
"You're a sight for sore eyes," he said, jogging to keep up with Hvergelmir. "As best I can tell it's a corruption in progress -- no Sovereign on the field yet, we'd all know, so there's...there's still hope." As long as there was no dark, crushing aura, they had a chance.
The poor sucker the Negaverse was trying to claim had a chance, too, and if Kerberos had anything to say about it, they wouldn't be able to take him.
Getting higher sounded like a great idea - and he was all for it, except suddenly there was a fist slamming into him from behind, and whatever else he might be, Kerberos was still a fighter, so he whirled elbow-first, aiming to smash into something.
"Hver, keep going! I'll handle...this, and I'll catch up." He said.
A corrupted Super, it seemed, was what he was handling. They wanted to play? Fine. He'd play.
((It's the eye of the tiger it's the thrill of the fight...)) ((17 damage to Titanite))
He stumbled slightly with the blow, and returned fire by hammering an elbow at her as he swung back to his feet and lunged her direction, hoping to remove the space that let her use those long legs. Her punches were going to leave their own colorful marks, he really didn't want to get a boot heel to the ear if he could avoid it, even if it was for a decent reason.
"Sorry hon..." He added to Meteora. "I told you I wouldn't go around finding strays but you know how it is... And see? She likes you!"

((I'm not sure if you got my PM since I did not receive an answer, so I'll include what I said here — I don't know precisely where Sinope is within the context of the orange zone. The orange zone comprises multiple rowhouses with several streets and vastly different viable items to find depending on the location of the user. I decided to go with generalities for now, but if you could clarify your character's location in your posts when you use PER on the surroundings, that would help greatly! Even if it's just 'standing on a rowhouse' or 'looking in the street', it helps to know the location of the character.
If none of these options are helpful to your character, you can either search a more specific area or look for a more specific thing.))
The starry sky lent its luminosity and animosity to the battlefield, providing a viewing range of respectable distance to the inquisitive. Sinope's location allowed him to see the length of the battlefield, out to the derelict church and funeral home in the deep distance. Auric energies tangled ubiquitously. Every zone is visible to Sinope, though he was unable to hear over the din of battle.
Rowhouse immediacy
PER: 5 (pass) Many of the rowhouses sported tarped surfaces, missing shingles, and cracked beams - anyone could see that. One hole stood out for its presence under a deep shadow, however, and offered no protection against the peering night sky. Enemies might think it a viable location in which one could chuck down their foe. Opportunists might see an area worth exploring beyond the hole, with potential promising paraphernalia but a story's drop into the dark space.
PER: 10 (pass) In the furthest section of rowhouses, the end unit fell entirely into disrepair. No roof covered the last segment, no windows prevented onlookers from peering inside, and part of the front wall remained curiously missing. Beyond its ruddy brick exterior, one could glean some familiar shapes - construction tools, it looked like, and enough indicators lying around to confirm that the place still had power. The row house looked deep, though, and further useful materials may lay within. (Damage + (3 x stage) if collecting a construction tool. Basic/page = 1, super/squire = 2, eternal/knight = 3. This damage buff is consumed upon 1 use.)
PER: 15 (fail) ???
Streets and beyond
PER: 10 (pass) The streets stood bare, which suggested the lot of the area's denizens either left the area or bunkered down in their homes. Crossing looked safe, though the occasional car may flee through. Across the way, a dead storefront by the dollar general looked fairly broken into, but the proximity to the altercation by the Circle K promised a view without entangling oneself in hostilities. In addition, not all of the merchandise looked pilfered - perhaps there would be something of use?

If none of these options are helpful to your character, you can either search a more specific area or look for a more specific thing.))

PER: 15 (pass) Within that husk of a rowhouse, further scrutinizing offered the recognizable shape of a respirator. Materials inside were likely toxic, and possibly combustible. If anything were to happen to the building, a respirator proved paramount in continuing to occupy the area. Depending on friability of materials and the robustness of any demolition material inside, one could feasibly draw the attention of onlookers and potentially obscure a section of the rowhouses in toxic debris to discourage continued rooftop altercations. (Potential minor zone alteration - damaging haze)
PER: 20 (pass) Dereliction reigned supreme here. Houses for young families looked as dilapidated as those for dealers or otherwise. Only subtle signs separated one building from the rest - broken glass in the yard, burn marks on the porch, two sturdy rottweilers left to scour their domain. While dangerous to cross beyond the boundary of the dogs, those with enough awareness would recognize the place for its potential to house a surfeit of chemicals. As the many cautions on the back of a bleach bottle suggest (because you would read that, wouldn't you), it doesn't take much to mix some highly disruptive gas. (Mixing takes 1 action and can produce many different effects.)

In addition, not all of the merchandise looked pilfered - perhaps there would be something of use?
PER: 15 (pass) Alleyways cut through everything. With enough careful study of even the oldest business areas, one seldom found difficulties in navigating through areas undetected through the use of alleyways. One offered a straight shot between the dentist's offices and Little Caesar's to the north, while others provided prime entrances into the concessions area of the westerly baseball field or into the junior high or low income apartments. Using an alleyway may bolster one's sneakiness for a time. (Accuracy -1 to other characters targeting you when changing zones via alleyway.)
PER: 20 (pass) HVAC systems proved eternally troublesome to maintain, especially in businesses - and many of the rooftops in the surrounding area sported HVAC systems. A wrench in the wrong area might cause a sputter of smoke and fill the building and its adjacent area with obscuring smoke until the unit received a fix. Alternatively, HVAC systems often sported giant metal vents mounted to the side of the building. These vents sometimes connected serviceable areas, and provided a great network from which to cross into other areas and observe some of the more bitter action unseen. Meteora, Page of Cosmos
"Now Red," Met chuckled as she decided to play along. It amused her to no end this sort of game they were playing. 'Blue' clearly was throwing the punches but these two had history that clearly did not result in death or attempted death. Besides, unless Kai decided to beg for help, Met was content watching this.
She was also enjoying the banter.
"You know that is Blue's choice. I mean clearly you are already a favorite new toy but do we need to worry about her chasing the cats? Or humping guests?" Now it was Met's turn to wink at the agent. "But she does look like she would be a good cuddler after a bath." Two could play this game as she put four fingers to her lips and blew the woman a kiss.
"Titanite, I'd be happy to have a beer with you. But can you do it without your handlers getting pissy?"

Captain Stibnite
The call had come and they had answered. That was about all there was to it. Silently though, Stibnite had scanned their area before using the the vantage point they had taken to scan beyond. When she had laid eyes on the those fighting beyond the fence line, her eyes had narrowed. Oh she remembered them...a General who had made her dislike well know of the new General Queen.
With a huff, she turned her attention back to the area they were in. "I don't think we have to concern ourselves too much about that." Stibnite noted, eyeing the fight going on between a blue haired Captain and a Mars Knight. "At least not in this area..."
Eyes glancing once more into the distance, Stibnite was using her own skills as a huntress and her chaos ability for auras as she waited. "But I think there is some place else that we may be of assistance..." turning her attention West, Stibnite cast him a look and blinked out of existence.
