"I can straighten your nose for you," Titan offered, holding up a hand for him to lift her up. "I believe I am content for now, Kairatos of Mars. Red." her lips quirked with humor. "We will not be 'still doing this.' At least not tonight. I have embarrassed myself quite enough by tripping over both of our feet. As far as our dancing goes, I have to practice more." She pulled up off the ground once he grabbed her hand. "The shoes are not the difficult part. And I would... not appreciate caltrops. I was lucky in that the magic saw fit to complement my fighting style. I do suppose that caltrops could be used to be a pain in the feet, but I'm not sure what else."

He rubbed the bridge of his nose with his thumb, and then crinkled his nose jokingly. "Not sure that would be an improvement either, I'm kind of used to this beak of mine. The caltrops were a damn pain. I might as well have thrown them at peoples faces for all they did. Three years or so of service and only one poor b*****d stepped on one I ended up apologizing to him since, and then he saved my a**, so I guess it worked out. Now I have a net." He lifted a hand in a vague gesture of surrender. "Which I admittedly am probably not using according to the instructions."

"Come now, Red." she laughed, tapping her heels against the cement. "You so have quite a lovely face, lopsided 'beak' or not." her accent, Egyptian with the sometimes-hint of her father's London tones, shifted as she drawled out the words. Calloused hands brushed over her uniform, wiping off snow. Her lips quirked dryly at the fact he had apologized to the person he had made step on his caltrops. "Learn to use it. A Retiarius and his weighted net could still kill a man. Or a woman." She straightened, cracking her neck. "I appreciate the spar, Red. It is always enjoyable to test myself in good company."

"I'd settle for disarming people. With a few exceptions I'd rather not add to my old kill count, and that seems to be working just fine so far." He chuckled. "But hey if you've got pointers where I can get lessons on using an out of date weapon, lay 'em on me. I don't think they have a course at the Y." He'd thought about dragging some order freinds out to the woods to horse around and try using it to block and tangle, but he wasn't sure he could do better than that. Not without more time at his wonder trying to remember techniques his body no longer knew. But having an idea of how things would go was better than nothing. "Good thought though. Maybe we do this again some time when you've got your feet?" He suggested, the corners of his mouth lifting.

"Disarming. Killing." she lifted her head, and there was the Negaverse agent, smiling sadly at him. "In the end, both stop your opponent, but only one will keep him from trying to kill you again." She shook out her arms, stamping her feet on the ground. "Try historians," she suggested. "The ones in the area may not be able to provide you practical application on how the retiarii fought, and it may not be appropriate to your combat style, but off the top of my head it is the only direction I can think to point you. You can always try and catch me, too." She gave him a bawdy wink. "When I have my feet, you can knock me off them again."

"I know it's a gamble, but it's a choice I've got to make with everyone I come across. And every one I kill, they'll just recruit five more... ten more. Doesn't matter. The results the same, I don't think that's how we balance these scales... and I mean balance. When a cosmic force responsible for your powers says balance is important... I think it means both sides have to exist. Just not like this.... but that's more phillosophy than I'm ready to poke at tonight, and probably already twice as much as you're willing to avoid eyerolling at." He smiled grimly at that. It wasn't bad advice. "Might just have to give that a shot then, Blue. But try and stay out of trouble."

When a cosmic force responsible for your powers says balance is important... I think it means both sides have to exist.Hm. It was an interesting theory. But it was more philosophy than Shahar was ever inclined to poke at, so she only gave the Mars Knight a salute, lips quirking in humor. "You already understand me so well, Red." Stepping back, and another step back, she said wryly, "You are striking cold iron on that, my friend. But I appreciate the attempt." and then away, flinging herself a distance before teleporting to her own room, collapsing onto her bed as she powered down. It was dramatic, but exhausting. Ryuthulhu Fin <3 They *must* meet again!
