At Cherry trying to downplay her accomplishments, the fallen arched her brows, a little almost puckered grin settled on her features. "Help save lives, help heal hurts, offer comfort to those scared and in pain. Nurses and doctors have to tend to people when they're at their most vulnerable, either due to a loved one's injury or illness or their own. People can lash out, place blame upon the people tending to them, be potentially dangerous if they lash out physically. Not everyone has it in them to do that day in and day out. That is amazing. That is very brave, and takes strength of heart or character to face it. You don't need to compare yourself to anyone, family or otherwise." Riya chuckled. "If they aren't making the time, then they don't know what they're missing."
She poured herself a cup of her tea, wrapping her hands around the warm, steaming cup. "What do you think they'd be like, our kids, I mean? Would they be the first young ones in your family? Your kin sound perpetually busy. Have any slowed down to imbue yet, even just partially for when they may decide to get around to have kids? Or are children not so high on their list of priorities as they are on yours?"
