Kit shrugged, smiling a little when he asked what regions she had been to. She listened to him talking and nodded, she had seen pictures of Alolan region but not had the chance to visit there yet. ”I don’t mind you asking at all. I have been a lot of places. My family likes to take trips. We vacationed in the orange islands. I visited Johto often to see a penpal of mine. Took a cruise to Hoenn… Of course most of my travel was research or tagging along when I got old enough when my mom traveled for work. My siblings are kind of spread out so visited them where they stayed. Maybe someday I will travel to Alola”Kit told him with a smile. So she was from Mossdeep, that was a bit of a distance to travel.
When the commotion started Isis growled a little, shivering as she eyed the scene. Kit looked over as the purrloin ran out with a spoon. ” Oh my.. it’s a purrloin. Its so cute! I want one”Kit said in a pitched voice. Isis shook her head and huffed, tossing her head a little. Kit watched Jay handle the situation rather well, she would have to keep that in mind. Kit sighed softly as the wild pokémon fled the building, she couldn’t help but pout a bit at her luck. She would have to hunt for one another time. Kurenai stared at the spoon with interest. She slowly inched towards the fallen spoon, as sneakily as she could scramber with her small legs. “ Shiny things and some of those poffins… I wish I had hunted when I was in Unova… but the trip was short…”Kit sighed, she had seen a purrloin in a performance and just fell in love with it.
Kit looked down at the umbreon and couldn’t help an aww. She pretty much loved all pokémon, even the weird ones. Isis greeted the umbreon, wagging her tail a little at the umbreon. ” He is just amazing. Isis was my first pokémon. Her mother and younger sister are umbreons. So Jay? Do you… give poffins away all the time? For instant those awesome dark type poffins like the cutie who just left loves?”Kit asked, batting her eyes at him as she spoke in a super sweet manner. Kurenai crept out a little more, it was right there. The strange shiny thing and she wanted it. Kurenai shook her head back and forth, watching the light reflect off of the object.
Kit listened to Onyxia mention Alola and wondered if they knew each other from there. Isis glanced at the juggling pokémon and smiled. Those berries looked good to. Kit couldn’t help but smirk a bit when Onyxia mentioned facing each other, she loved challenges.[/color”Is that a challenge? I would love to accept but these guys need a check up with Joy before we battle again. That and a good meal. My trapinch is my trouble maker, Luke is my playful one but he is so shy at times to… Wait did you say tattoo?” Kit asked with a grin, pulling her coat sleeves up to reveal the tattoos along her wrists. Kit looked at the picture of the surfer costume and couldn’t help but laugh. She pulled out her phone and swiped to a picture. At first glance it looked just like Kit, however where Kit dressed in blues and whites and more of a rebel out there style in pants the woman in the picture was decked out in bows and ribbons in pinks, purples , and other light girly colors on her high fashion dress. Beside the girl was a sylveon wearing a soft pink tutu and matching accessories. ” Asrai loves playing dress up, and having her picture taken. She is a bit of a diva honestly. Isis was never one for dress up unless it was a necklace with charms. ”Kit told them with a laugh. Isis rolled her eyes and huffed, she thought all that fluff and ruffles was silly. When a professor and sneasel was mentioned Kit and Isis fully focused on Onyxia again. Meanwhile Kurenai couldn’t hold back anymore. With her mouth open wide she lunged at the spoon.”A sneasel? Professor? Oh are you have water types to? Or grass types? I am not much of a single type trainer either. Thanks, it was a very intense battle and it was awesome…. Eh! No Kurenai don’t” Kit yelled when she noticed her pokémon going for the spoon, and she had just bragged about her to.

⤷XXXXXJay smiled when Onyxia smiled and nodded in agreement with his words. "I can't argue with you there," he said, in response to her comment about Alola having the best swells. "They've got some interesting Pokemon, as well. I was just telling Kit that a lot of the Pokemon in Alola have different forms than their Kanto counterparts." The Grass-type Gym leader couldn't help grinning in response to Vic's antics, and he chuckled at the photos that Onyxia showed him. "He's definitely a little cutie in those," he said.
⤷XXXXX He smiled at the thought of the Professor and his Sneasel. "Speaking of the Professor, how's he doing?" he asked. "Is Sneak still getting up to her usual tricks?" Jay turned his attention back to Kit as she answered his question about the places she'd traveled, and he was amazed that she'd been so many different places. And apparently, the girl loved Purrloin, from the look on her face and her tone of voice when she saw the wild one. Moonlight sat back on his haunches and lifted his head a little bit at Kit's praise, and Jay smiled at the sight.
⤷XXXXX The Grass-type Gym leader blinked when Kit suddenly spoke in a very sweet voice, and he realized she likely wanted to try and catch the Purrloin using some of the poffins he'd made. "A lot of the time, yes," he said. "There are quite a few Pokemon around here, both wild and those with trainers, that like the poffins I make. Tell you what, take a few of these and see if you can earn that Purrloin's trust, alright?" He took a container from his apron pocket and opened it, taking a few of the dark-type poffins and handing them to her before returning the container to his pocket. "If you'd like, I'll show you how to make them sometime," he said.
⤷XXXXX When Kit pulled up a picture of a girl on her phone, Jay was amazed at the resemblance Kit and the girl shared. He was a bit surprised by the tattoos that Kit showed off, though he didn't say anything. When Kurenai lunged at the dropped spoon with her mouth wide open, Moonlight was quick to take action, diving for the spoon and grabbing it in his mouth, then darting out of the way before Kurenai could clamp down on his tail. "Thanks, Moonlight," Jay said, as the Umbreon carried the spoon over to him. "Well, it's time for me to head for the kitchen. Onyxia, are you staying for lunch?"

Onyxia laughed a little. "I spend a huge amount on the water so I have a fair amount of water. Inherited two from my Grandparents and Vic saved my life. Surfed the biggest wave of my life and went a little too high. Got thrown off and knocked out. When I woke up, Vic was squeezing berries into a bowl for me. Been together ever since." Going through her phone she pulled up her portfolio of tattoos. Turning to show Kit the many tattoos she's done. "Run my own shop. You can get a quick greasy bite, a surfboard or some supplies. But hey, what's a Gym for anyways?" When asked about the Professor she bounced her head some more. "Stephen is the same. Digging up fossils, doing research, getting his hand taken by Sneak. Though did you hear? He caught one of those Ultra Beasts, rumor is he just talked to it and shared some food. I have money on he just caught it." She gave a shrug and flicked her Pokéballs. Part of her team appearing. "We were all hoping to catch some food from you Jay. You always cook it just right."
Kit got into her bag for a container for the poffins after she took them, grinning a little. She could use those for her dark type hunts. She paused her interesting conversation to glare down at her trapinch. Isis growled and started chiding the orange pokémon. Kurenai glared at the umbreon, stomping her little feet in anger at the spoon being taken. Isis lightly smacked Kurenai with her tail, resuming her chiding louder. Kurenai just shrugged at Isis and huffed, still annoyed.”Kurenai what am I going to do with you. You keep chewing on Rensha’s tail, trying to steal silverware now? And I know you have tried wondering off when Joy is checking you all out. Are you teething? Do trapinch have that issue? Maybe I will have Joy give you a check up. But mark my words you naughty thing. I can ground you, I am sure Key or Shade would love joining us for some battles and fun. Or I will let Kat borrow you for her contest”Kit threatened her pokémon with a glare. Kurenai’s eye twitched as she imaged herself all dressed in ruffles and bows. She shook her head and ran around, stomping her feet in protest. Kit sighed and shook her head before picking the tantrum throwing brat up. Kurenai blinked and looked down when she realized she wasn’t touching the ground anymore.
”Anyway… where were we before that… Oh right poffins. I would love to learn how to make them. I never had the patience before when my sister tried showing me this stuff. I hope I can catch some dark types with these…. Kat was the one in that picture, she is a showcase type of girl. Fashion designer and performer… Kurenai hates the idea of all that pink girly stuff as much as I do. But mark my words, I will let her make you a dress”Kit threatened again to the squirming pokémon. She closed her eyes and sighed, holding Kurenai under her arm. Kit glanced at Jay when he mentioned needing to go to the kitchen and nodded. Isis waved her tail to Moonlight.
Kit looked at Onyxia’s portfolio when she was offered a look at the phone. The tattoos looked pretty cool, it had been a while since she had gotten a new one. ”Those are wicked. And that is a cool story, it is nice when they do that for us. Oh? Gym? So… you run a gym as well? Kit asked with an interested look. Her mind whirled with the information she was given, it was a lot to think about and plot for. She chewed her lower lip for a moment before using her free hand to release the rest of her team. A charmeleon, shiny vulpix, arcanine, and riolu popped out. ” I am soo going to visit this professor guy, he sounds interesting. I have never seen an Ultra Beast before… This is the rest of my team. Synge, Embyr, Rensha, and my sweet little Luke. Guys this is Onyxia, Vic, and Moonlight. You met Jay since we just battled him. We are grabbing a quick bite before heading to the center. Then we will probably go wild pokémon hunting, train up for our next fight.”Kit introduced. Her partners offered a greeting, Luke hid behind Kit’s leg as he softly greeted them.

⤷XXXXXJay waited until Kit got the container for the poffins he'd given her, and when she began to scold Kurenai, he couldn't help chuckling a bit at the Ground-type's attitude toward Moonlight. When Kit said she'd never had the patience to try making poffins when her sister tried to show her, but that she would love to learn now, he smiled. "It's not all that hard," he said. "The only thing you really have to do is experiment with different types of berries." He listened as Kit explained that her sister Kat was the one in the photos she'd shown him and Onyxia, and that Kurenai hated the idea of dressing up as much as Kit did.
⤷XXXXX When Kit heard Onyxia mention her Gym, he could tell that the younger girl was processing the information she'd been given. "You won't battle Onyxia's Gym until you get to Mossdeep City," he said. "There are several Gyms before you reach Mossdeep, and each is more powerful than the last." He smiled when Onyxia said that Stephen was the same, and that Sneak was still getting up to her old tricks. When his fellow Gym leader mentioned Stephen had caught an Ultra Beast, Jay's attention was caught. "Do you know what kind of Ultra Beast he caught?" he asked. "I'd like to meet it, if I can." The Grass-type Gym leader smiled again when Onyxia released part of her team, saying they were all hoping to get a bite, since Jay always cooked the food just right.
⤷XXXXX Just then, he heard a voice calling for him, and he turned. "Alright, Andy, I'm coming!" he called back, then turned to Onyxia and Kit again. "Feel free to order whatever you like, alright?" he said. "As I said, it's on the house." Having said this, he turned and headed for the kitchen, taking the spoon the Purrloin had dropped with him. It was an hour or so before the lunch rush died down, and by that time, most of the regular customers had already eaten and gone on with their days. The only ones left were late-comers and the occasional shop owner, besides Kit, Onyxia, and their Pokemon, of course.
⤷XXXXX Just as Jay was about to finish cleaning up, he heard a voice from the dining room area. "Sorry, but you'll have to wait, the Gym leader is busy now," the voice said, and Jay recognized Nick's voice. Sighing, he finished cleaning up, then left the kitchen to see what the commotion was about. "What's this all about, Nick?" he asked. "This boy came here looking for a Gym battle, but I told him he'd have to wait," Nick said, turning to look at him. "Well, I'm not busy anymore," Jay said, turning to look at the young man that had just walked into the restaurant. "The name's Jay, and I'm the Gym leader here. I'm guessing you came here to try and earn your first badge?"

⤷XXXXX Brian nodded in response to Dante's statement, then turned and followed the other boy to the Gym. As the man had said, there was a rather large building with open double doors that led to what Brian could see was an indoor garden of some kind. The smell of food wafting from the doors made his mouth water, and he realized this was the restaurant he'd been telling Dante about. When he turned to see where Dante was, however, he couldn't see the other boy, and he shrugged before heading into the Gym. As he walked through the double doors, he could see people sitting in a dining room area, and he guessed that was the restaurant. The Gym is a restaurant and an indoor garden, he thought. Well, I've seen stranger things.
⤷XXXXX He walked further in and began asking around to find out where the Gym leader was, saying he was looking to battle whomever it was and earn his first badge. A moment later, a man with dark hair approached and asked him if he needed something. "Is the Gym leader here?" Brian asked. "I'm looking to battle them for my first badge.""Sorry, but you'll have to wait, the Gym leader is busy now," the man said, but before Brian could respond, another man approached, asking what was going on. The man called Nick explained that Brian had asked for the Gym leader, to which the second man introduced himself as Jay, the Gym leader. When asked if he'd come to try and earn his first badge, the teen nodded. "Yes, sir," he said. "It'll be my first here in the Pluto region."

Onyxia nodded a little. "Yes I run the Mossdeep gym. And my team here is, Vic, Mage the Alakazam, Morrigan the Gardevoir, Trop the Tropius, Jaws the Sharpedo, Illi the Lanturn, and Duke my Blastoiste." When asked about the Ultra Beast she gave a shrug. "Xucitree or something like that. It’s a Electric/Grass type." As Jayson headed to the kitchen she turned fully to Kit. "He’s a nice guy, the Professor, a bit scatter-brained at times though. His lab is across the street from the museum up in Morunbor. He'll be in one of those two locations if he’s not off at a dig. The man loves fossils, maybe he'll give you one if you help him out a little." She leaned over to the doors and heard another trainer, which made her smile. "The Professor was suppose to be the champion but he chose this career instead, shocked everyone since he and his Shiny Metagross made an amazing team. But sometimes our path is different." She turned to watch as Mage made it so Illi And Jaws had a place to swim. Her team had seemed so happy to her. "Mage and Morrigan I got when my Grandparents passed. Jaws had nearly bitten me off my board. Illi was during a scuba trip on the Alola Reefs. Trop we just bumped into each other on the beach. And Duke... well we surfed the same wave and I won while he wiped out." She had lots of good memories with the team and many funny ones too. "It's your own traveling family. Always take care of your partners and they will take care of you."
Kit had been given a lot to think about. She would have to find berries and ingredients in the wild and start working, she just hoped she didn’t make anyone sick with her cooking. Isis nudged her hand and stared at her. Isis and Kit had been together so long they were on the same wavelength. Kit gave a reassuring smile and scratched behind her ears. Kurenai huffed and wiggled under Kit’s arm, not happy about her situation at all. Kit shook her head and ignored her protests, she would figure it out eventually.”Thanks Jay, I will keep all this in mind….” Kit muttered with a smile. The gears in her mind were going full speed with plots and planning.
Kit looked over the menu before deciding what each of them would like. Her partners scarfed the good food down with praise. Kit had to admit the food was amazing. Kit was surprised at how super busy the place was, yet she was new to the place maybe she just didn’t know the great places yet. Once her team finished their food they yawned and curled up near where Kit was sitting. Rensha was curled up with Synge laying near her, careful to keep the flame on her tail away from anything else. Luke and Embyr were asleep ontop of Rensha’s back while Kurenai was asleep on her back near Kit’s chair. Every once and a while her legs would kick. Isis was curled up on Kit’s lap like always. Kit sipped on a cup of tea while her free hand petted Isis in her sleep. Soon the rush hour was over and things seemed to calm down.
With food in her stomach Kit was a little more focused. Her eyes shifted to Onyxia and the pokémon she had with her. It did nothing to hint at her type, it could be psychic or water since those were the most types she had. Then again she could be an electric or dark trainer. She shook her head as she got some information from her. Kit couldn’t help but grin a little, the professor sounded amazing. ”He sounds like a blast. I think I will head to the next town and meet him. I have actually always wanted a fossil pokémon… though I am not sure which is my favorite. Being raised in Kanto makes me favor them a little. ”Kit told her before humming for a moment in thought. An image flashed in her mind, of where she hoped her journey would end. It was then she knew what she would want with her at that moment. ”Sometimes you just know your calling… sometimes it takes a while to figure out what you want… especially if everything is already being done by everyone else… My pokémon will always come first… if one of them wanted to do contests I would suck it up, put on a fluffy dress and do my best so they could be happy… their happiness is all that matters, well and their health. Isis hatched in my arms, born from my mother’s Umbreon and my father’s flareon. Rensha and kabadra, Key, they were gifts for starting my journey. Through my travels fate just brought us all together… and I wouldn’t trade them for the world. ”Kit told her with a warm smile, she loved each of them so much no matter what they did. Kit looked at her watch and sighed softly before nudging Isis a little.
”I think I have stayed here long enough. These guys worked hard today and need a good rest and check up. Come on sweeties… Rensha, Embyr, Synge, Luke, Kurenai time to return. Next stop pokémon center”Kit said, waking her pokémon up a little. Isis yawned and jumped off her lap, rubbing her eyes. Kit returned her team all except her espeon and arcanine. She picked Isis up and sat her on Rensha’s back before situating her bags on Rensha. She turned to Onyxia with a smile. ” Thanks for the information. And eventually you will see us again. But these guys need to see Joy, so I best be hitting the road with em. Plus he looks to be busy so might as well step out of the way. See you around and I will probably drop in again. Food was great” Kit told them as she adjusted her stuff and gave Rensha some love, the large canine expressed his happiness at her attention.
┗ After making the turn, Brian had managed to get to the gym before Dante, leaving only a bit of confusion that would swiftly get pushed to the back end after seeing the Gym Leader of Cloudridge. "This has to be the place, I definitely hear that Brian guy." Walking in the two doors, he saw Brian talking to a male and another male who was conversing with one another. "I don't know how you got here before me but at least I also made it. You must be the gym leader of Cloudrige right. Jayson Blackthorn?" Dante questioned, as he saw the male who was in front of him and Brian. From the moment he acknowledged the recognition from what Dante's seen off of tv and researching on the internet, this guy is either exactly him or a direct duplicate. "The name is Dante, and I too challenge you to a gym battle." Stating to him, eager to finally achieve his first step into the Pokemon Challenge. Hopefully the Gym Leader would take him up on his offer and fight him. ┓

⤷XXXXXJay smiled when Onyxia explained that she ran the Mossdeep Gym, then explained her team. He blinked when his fellow Gym leader said the name of the Ultra Beast Stephen had caught, then tapped his chin thoughtfully. The Ultra Beast's typing caught his attention, because of the Grass/Electric mix. He smiled when Onyxia explained how she'd caught her team, and it made him think back on when he caught his own team. Arrow was his starter, and he'd caught Eggy as an Exeggcute, and the Grass/Psychic had evolved into the Alolan Exeggutor not long after that. The rest of the team had been fairly easy captures, since he liked to make friends with any Pokemon he came across.
⤷XXXXX Jay nodded when Kit thanked him for what he'd told her, and he handed her a piece of paper. "These are the recipes I use for some of the different poffins I gave you," he said. "You're welcome to use them as you like, or change them as you see fit." He nodded in agreement with the girl's words. "I know the feeling," he said. "My Pokemon are my family, and I wouldn't trade their happiness for anything. You're welcome to come by anytime, Kit. I wish you luck in the rest of your journey."
⤷XXXXX He turned as a second male voice called out, and he saw a second young man approaching, this one apparently familiar with the first young man, who introduced himself as Brian. The Grass-type Gym leader could see the determination in this second young man's eyes, and it made him smile a bit. Dante, as he introduced himself, reminded Jay of himself when he was younger, with a burning desire to make himself as strong as possible. "Yes, that's me," he said. "And I accept both your challenges." Before he could ask who would be challenging him first, Brian spoke up, saying that he would wait until after Dante had battled to do his own battle. "That's fine with me," Jay said, then turned to Dante. "Dante, would you like to battle now?"

⤷XXXXX Brian turned when he heard Dante's voice, saying he didn't know how Brian had gotten ahead of him, but Brian smiled. "This is the restaurant I was talking about, but it's also the Gym and the indoor garden the man that gave us directions was talking about," he said. When he heard Dante say that he, too, challenged Jay to a battle, he knew the question that was coming next, and he held up a hand. "I can wait to do my battle until later," he said. "Dante, go ahead and do yours, if you want to. I'll watch."

┗ A strong grin crept up on Dante's face when his request got accepted, but not only that he was asked to go first. It was finally time for Dante to achieve his ambition of being the very best as a Poke Champion. He looked over to Brian who was willing to sit back and go second on the gym challenge. Giving him a nod of appreciation before going back to Jay. "Thanks Brian. Yes I would love to battle now. My team and I are more than ready to secure our victory." He stated as he clenched his fist. Brimming with excitement at the chance of taking down the first Gym Leader and hopefully on his first try. Following everyone to the gym battlefield, he looked around amazed at how the actual gym actually represented his pokemon's type theme. It's amazing that he even thought about other gyms would look like. Stepping over to his mark before they began, looking at Jay directly to his face. "So Mr Jay, what are the rules for your gym?" Dante questioned, making sure that he followed everything to the tee so his victory will be nothing but legit. ┓
Onyxia listened to Kit, nodding from time to time. "I know he’d like it. And I’m sure we'll see each other real soon." She could two more voices, both seeming to want a match with Jayson. With a sigh and nod she returned her Pokémon. "Seems like Jayson is going to busy. Wanted to catch a meal by him with him, but life a Gym Leader. I wish you luck." She began to walk towards the door, Vic climbing onto her shoulder. "You seem busy Jay, I’ll stop by in a bit when you’re not testing Trainers." With a final wave good bye She and Vic left the Gym for the time being.
Kit tucked the piece of paper into her bag with a smile. Rensha nudged her a bit and wagged his tail. She could tell Onyxia was disappointed, Kit was a little as well. Jay and Onyxia were very interesting to talk to, she would be making notes of what she had learned from them soon. She walked towards the door after Onyxia, pausing to glance once more at the gym with a grin. ”First step hu buddies…. ⤷XXXXXJay could see Kit and Onyxia's disappointment when he turned to face them, and he felt a bit bad for brushing them off after Brian and Dante walked into the Gym looking to earn their badges. "Sorry, you two," he said. "Tell you what, Onyxia, why don't you come by in a couple of hours? We could catch up then, if you'd like." He could see Brian nodding in response to Dante's thanks, and once again, Dante's determination reminded Jay of himself. As he led Dante toward the battlefield, he could see the amazement in Dante's eyes as the boy looked around the Gym. "How many Pokemon do you have on you now, Dante?" Jay asked, when the boy asked what the rules were. Once he had his answer, he looked at the ref and nodded. "The ref will explain the rules before we begin," he said, moving to his side of the field.
⤷XXXXX Once they were both in position, the ref spoke. "This will be a three-on-three battle between the Gym leader, Jay, and the challenger, Dante," he said. "The battle will be over when all of one side's Pokemon are unable to battle. Furthermore, only the challenger will be allowed to substitute Pokemon. Are you both ready? Then let the battle begin!" The ref raised his hand, and Jay looked at Dante. "I hope you're ready for this, Dante, because I don't plan to hold back!" Jay said, then threw his first Pokeball. "Happy, let's go!" The Pokeball burst open to reveal Happy, Jay's Lombre, swaying back and forth a little bit, but ready for a fight, all the same.

⤷XXXXX Brian nodded when Dante thanked him for stepping back and letting Dante go first, and Brian followed the two as they headed for the battlefield. Brian could see various wild Pokemon in the berry garden, and he wondered if he might be able to catch any of them before leaving. Little did he know, there was one wild Pokemon that had already noticed him, though not because it was fond of people. It was a female Riolu that had noticed his aura was different than most people. In fact, Brian's aura was a bit stronger than usual, which made the Riolu wonder if Brian might be able to use aura. The Fighting-type decided to keep an eye on him, and followed him toward the battlefield.

┗ Three-on-three pokemon battle for the badge. "That's just fine with me, let's start this off with you Magnemite! Standby for battle!" He stated as he smirked, grabbing hold of the Pokeball before throwing it in the air, revealing his Magnemite against the Gym Leader's Lombre. The battle had begun. Magnemite started it off with the attempt of Supersonic but missed his target. It got caught in a few hits of Lombre's Razor Leaf and Bubble attack but Magnemite wouldn't falter. "Magnemite stay strong, attack with Thunder Shock!" As commanded, the Magnemite fought back, with its sturdy steel body, the attacks against him were weakened. His confusion worked again, forcing Lombre to take its own damage while Magnemite would secure the win. "Good job, how you feeling Magnemite?" Magnemite was chipped away in that fight. Any next attack would put him down but he was determined to win this. Because of that, Dante didn't want to take him out. If they were going to go down, they're gonna go down fighting together. Dante looked at Jay, now with one of his three pokemon down, with curiosity, wondered what he would bring out next... ┓

⤷XXXXXJay blinked when Dante sent out his first Pokemon, a Magnemite. This one will be tough, he thought, but it didn't put him off in the slightest. He liked a good challenge, and this was just another day in the Gym for him. "Happy, let's start off with Razor Leaf!" Jay called, and the Lombre obeyed, though with Magnemite being part Steel-type, he knew it wouldn't have much of an effect. Still, Happy chipped away at the dual Electric/Steel-type's HP, until it was nearly knocked out, before Happy was knocked out of the battle by a final Thunder Shock. Jay returned Happy with a word of thanks, then released Parra, his Paras. "Parra, use Poison Powder!" Jay commanded, and the Bug/Grass-type obeyed, sending out a stream of purple powder toward Magnemite.
⤷XXXXX Jay had forgotten, however, that due to its Steel typing, Magnemite couldn't be poisoned, and when he tried Stun Spore, the attack failed, because of Magnemite's Electric typing. Which meant that Parra was basically defenseless because of her trainer's oversight. It only took a few attacks to knock Parra out, and Jay sent out his last Pokemon, Arrow. "Arrow, Leafage!" Jay called, and the Shiny Rowlet obeyed, effectively knocking Magnemite out. Dante's next Pokemon could very well spell the end of the battle, but Jay wouldn't give up that easily. He admired Dante's strength of will and determination, and was determined to give him a battle to remember.

⤷XXXXX Brian watched Jay and Dante's battle with interest, noting that Dante had a Magnemite and a Litleo on his team. The third Pokemon on the other trainer's team remained to be seen, but Brian was sure it would be of a different type than the previous two. A short time into the battle, he sensed someone watching him, but when he turned to see who it was, he didn't see anyone. Shrugging, he turned back to watch the battle again. The Riolu that had followed him to the battlefield ducked behind a plant when he turned her way, wanting to study him a bit more before making her presence known. Normally, she was shy around humans, but this one intrigued her.
