Pruu's heart caught in her chest as Naq suddenly went into action. She looked so graceful and effortless... Flying in the water. A giggle escaped her when Naq swam around her legs, looking over her shoulder when the woman popped back up. Lay... At first, she tried to settle herself without the hand, but the moment she tried to let her feet lift, she found herself reaching for that support. She took a DEEP breath and held it tightly, finding herself scrunching her face up with the "effort" of trying to stay afloat...

As Pruu moved, Naqenni adjusted, holding steady with one hand while keeping the other braced under her sister’s back. ‘Relaxed’ was evidently a work in progress, and as Pruu’s face bunched with effort, breath held tight, Naq’s own expression was amused. When she spoke, though, her words were even-handed and gentle: serious, but not chastising, and uncharacteristically patient.
“Breathe out,” she instructed first, “and then in again, deep. Hold your body loose, and let your head rest back, like the water is your bed roll. And look up. To me, or the cavern roof…the focus is on your breath and balance.”
She could feel the rampant tension in her sister at first, naturally, both in her grip and as evident through her posture, rigid as a board. But it was to be expected. Though the feat itself wasn’t complicated, forcing oneself to relax when unaccustomed to water was most certainly ‘easier said than done,’ and though Naqenni typically had limited patience for the rest of the world, she found sometimes, it came easier to her with regard to her younger sisters.

Pruu cracked one eye open. Carefully, she let her breath back out. Feeling herself sink, she inhaled sharply again to fill her lungs again. How was she supposed to relax?! Her gaze flickered between Naq and the ceiling, cheeks warm while she tried to even out her breathing, her inhales still sharper than needed, and holding it in her lungs a few seconds before letting it escape.
The strangest part was her hair. At first, she felt the full weight of it pulling as it soaked. Now that it was wet though, and fully immersed... it was like it was a bunch of feathers around her head! One leg was still obstinately pointing toward the ground though. Slowly, trying to focus on breathing and balance, that leg rose. Her heart was thudding, handing over control to the water like this causing fear and exhilaration! She gave Naq's fingers a light squeeze to show that she was doing okay this time, though she dared not try to speak at the moment.

Naqenni watched, faint amusement still evident in her expression though it eased as Pruu adjusted — very gradually — to the water, visibly flailing less and bringing her body closer to equilibrium. It was a waiting game, then, as Pruu experimented with her breath and attempting to hold herself there—evidently not confident enough to speak up yet. As her struggling with the water dimished, though, so too did the need for Naq’s grip, and she let it lessen slowly, until her hand was only hovering just beneath Pruu, carrying no weight, at least for a moment.
“It is like being weightless, when you find it. And if you can, you will never drown. You’re doing well.”

Pruu couldn't help how her lips turned into a slight curve. Weightless... She was just hovering... Was this truly not magic?
It took a moment, but she gasped when she realized the hand was gone from under her, snapping upright instinctively with a slight flail of her legs. Her cheeks turned dark with embarrassment, but her eyes rose to Naq with bright wonder. "That's.. amazing to feel," she said, gripping Naq's fingers with excitement. "I would like to try again."
