Gahiji didn't say anything in response to her muttered question. Either he didn't hear her or he merely chose not to reply as he walked over to the water and started to wade into it. He was about to plop down so that he could splash around and celan himself off when the girl started to talk again. First talkking about how he should take a day off to rest, something that had Gahiji turning to look at the strange girl with a rather an aghast expression on his face, "What? A whole day? That is way too long! The janarim will be long gone by then!" Didn't she know that even if he set out now he might now find the beast? If he waited a whole day then there would be no chance at all! The idea of having to sit around a whole day when his guardians weren't in charge of the decision was... terrible to even consider.

Grumbling a bit he walked over to where she told him to sit, leaving his weapon and mask on the shore, before plopping down on the rock that had been indicated to him, "The wounds aren't so bad... just itchy... probably all the sand." He shrugged before he leaned over and set to splashing himself with the water, sending it in all directions.

"Yes a whole day." Arima quipped back, "It's either a whole day or a whole week at this rate." She chastised him as she began to sort through her collection of bandages and ointments, "It could be worse you know. If you don't rest now what happens if you do chase the janarim? Maybe something hasn't fully healed yet and then it'll crack even worse. You could lose a leg for a whole month then! Would that be better then? To sit around for a whole month with only stories of what beasts you could have been fighting to amuse you?"

Oh! Arima muttered some rather unlady like comments as water got splashed everywhere. What was she bathing a pup? "Enough, enough." Arima picked up a few bottles and some cloth as she approached the man, "Now stay still so I can get a good look at these injuries. Itchy they may be, but they could also be infected. If that's the case then you definitely will need my help or without treatment your skin will begin to rot away." A bit dramatic, but she felt he needed it if he were to even take his injuries a bit seriously. Talk about a case!

Gahiji lifted a hand to scratch it against his chin as she set to telling him that he had to rest or else his wounds might turn into something else, something worse, something that might put him out of commission for a whole month! It seemed a bit on the dramatic side saying that a whole month could be lost but at the same time it wouldn't be the first time he was stuck indoors to extended periods of time. It was even worse when he was younger and wasn't allowed to wander as much as he did these days. Even then when he went home his guardians tended to complain about him going missing for extended periods of time.

"I will think about it." He said after a moment of what was, for Gahiji at least, a lot of thinking. He supposed that he could sit still for a day if it meant not being stuck home for a whole month! She'd patch him up and he'd be ready to go! It was what healers were for after all.

As she sad something about wanting to get a look at his wounds he lifted his arm for her to see since it was the one with the most scratches, "It was just a janarim... I don't see what you're so worried about. They aren't even venomous like the Drow are!" As though fighting something without venom made it that much better.

He would think about it? Arima rose a brow, but just quietly sighed. It was better than nothing. As he raised his arm the woman made a clicking noise with her tongue, "Just because they aren't venomous does not mean that they can't do serious damage. If sand and other dirts get into these cuts of yours it could become infected simply through that. Janarims are not prone to washing their claws before battle after all."

Arima uncorked a strong smelling substance, mostly alcohol, and held it just above his skin. "Time to prove how tough you can be, Gahiji. I promise this will only sting a little bit." That said the Matori began to pour the substance onto her wounds. When that was done she would pat it down with the cloth and then work on placing a cooling ointment onto the scratches. Afterwards would also come the bandages if he would hopefully sit still long enough!

"Alright. Clean my wounds more thoroughly. Got it." He said, looking at one of the wounds on his arm for a long, drawn out moment before he said, "I feel I should tell you I licked that one clean when it was bleeding." She was a healer so he should probably not keep secrets from her, huh? Given how grumbly she was about dirty janarim claws he doubted she'd be all that happy over the idea of Gahiji licking his wounds in a literal sense either.

"Huh?" He turned, watching as the healer held a bottle above his arm and spoke about seeing how tough he was before dumping the contents onto him. He have a flinch but little more, mostly starring at the wounds that felt a bit like they were sizzling at the moment. Not the worst pain he'd ever felt so he couldn't' say that it was something horrible or behind his ability to deal with it. Still, it was odd that she was using this method, "So... you heal with regular methods? Not gonna magic me better?" That was a slight disappointment since that meant he would actually have to heal in a more natural manner.

Next she used something that felt weirdly cold despite them being in the middle of a desert during the daytime. He starred at it before leaning in to sniff at it, wondering what it was made of exactly. Whatever it was it smelled weird... but if it helped he supposed he'd dealt with the scent for now.

"You did what?" Arima blinked and then blinked some more as she looked at the man. Seriously? Was he a janarim in hiding? Had his spirit been switched with a beast at birth? So many ideas and stories that ran through her head! All of which ended with the same conclusion of how she was tending to a madman.

"Your mouth probably made it worse. Do you chew ointments or have magical spit?" She replied, "If you do then great! If not then I would say wait and find some water first or even better take some of this with you." Here she thrust the ointment jar into his hand, "Clean yourself with water first and then use this on any wounds. Water, not spit okay?"

At least he didn't whine about the stinging, "Should I have?" She replied lightly as he asked about magic, "Seems like I would be spending a lot of effort and energy on someone who would run off and get hurt again as soon as possible. It's better on your body to adjust to pain and healing naturally. If I were to fix you up completely right away you'd be spoiled." Still that didn't stop her hands from trailing towards the larger cuts, "But for your information I do want to make certain the wounds were tended to and cleaned before using any magic. Infections can still happen under the skin even if I forced all of your cuts closed." A bit of a tingle left her fingers as she watched some of the wounds close, "Plus, that ointment is better than most since I made it. It won't be long before your skin is fresh again. So don't lose it or overuse it. Cherish it, okay? It takes a bit for me to make that type."

"Do you have any bigger wounds other than the ones I closed?" Arima patted her skirts as she stood and looked over the man, "If you do need it let me know now before I get on my way." It was already past afternoon and she was worried - she had meant to be on her way by now already.

Gahiji seemed to think about it for a moment before he asked, "Would chewing on ointments actually work?" That would be interesting... though if they tasted anything like they smelled then it likely wouldn't even be worth the attempt. He'd guess that she was just being sarcastic though since she went on to say that he had to use 'water, not spit' to clean his wounds from now on. A bit of a pain but he would do his best to the remember that lesson for as long as he could.

"Hm? I don't know? I'm not a healer... I just assumed that since you have magic that you would magic me better." He knew zero about how magic actually worked. In his mind it was some strange, out of his reach, foreign power that made no sense and did things that weren't natural. As such he just figured she'd wave her hands about and 'poof' he'd be better. It seemed that wasn't the case. Not only that but magic was a lot more complicated then he'd thought it was... putting it even further out of the realm of understanding for Gahiji. After she explained it to him, not that he really got it, he merely said, "Sounds complicated." Complicated and as though it wouldn't be nearly as much fun as stabbing things with a spear.

As she offered him some ointment, telling him that it was of high quality since she'd made it he nodded his head. Alright, he'd take this along and use it the next time he got in a scuffle... which wouldn't be that long from now he was certain. He'd give it until tomorrow since he was supposed to rest today.

"Bigger wounds?" He thought about it, giving himself a once over, before he shook his head, "Nothing I can see... eh? Leaving so soon?" Really? He supposed that meant that she wouldn't exactly be watching over him then? Excellent! That meant he could set to work tracking the janarim. Even if he didn't fight it today at least he'd know where to find it tomorrow! And he had ointment to fix himself up! It was a win-win situation!

Arima had to resist the urge to roll her eyes. Of course having magic made everyone think her life was easier. Arima bit down on her remarks before simply saying, "Complicated, of course."

The Matori nodded, "Well if that's all then what's the point of me staying around? I need to find a rare flower for someone out here and the longer I linger the less time I have." She shrugged lightly, "Were you hoping I tied you down and made certain you behaved? I'm trusting you to care for your own body. If you wanna keep fighting then remember to rest up." She poked a finger in the air towards him, "And don't think you'll always find a healer to tackle into working for you."

Still, the Matori couldn't help finally smiling. Despite this being the most frustrating of cases and the strangest he still was a patient. It always felt good to know she was healing someone - though sending him back off to injure himself some more definitely gave her a mixed sensation. Either way she had done her best and that was that - she still had a flower to find after all!

Who knew? Maybe they would even run into each other again, but for now Arima just waved. "Take care, Gahiji."

Gahiji starred at her for a long moment before he got up from where he was sitting, shaking himself free of the water, before walking over to where he left his things. He gave her a glance then said, "You needn't stick around for my sake if you're looking for something." He said, waving a hand before he pulled his mask back on. He'd just been surprised the healer was heading oout was all, not as though he wanted her to stick around or anything! It was easier without her because he'd be able to go and return to hunting... or at least planning some hunting.

"I will keep it in mind." Though if he found more healers that declared themselves fighters would he be able to resist? Hard to say really... he'd probably do it again... he couldn't resist a good fight after all. Lifting a hand he gave the woman a wave before he started off in the direction that he'd last seen the janarim. He would return to his hunt for beasts, she'd return to her hunt for flowers, and they would likely not meet up again for a while. At least not unless the various Gods or Goddesses felt such a meeting happening sooner then later was necessary.

Lifting a hand he waved as he went but didn't say anything more, his mind already on the next possible battle.
