I don't know how much it will affect our guests but that's third day of a two week exam period for the entire state of New York. I don't think this will affect this event too much. But high school students have state wide standardized tests that go from June 13th until June 22.
I don't see why these dates wouldn't work, but I just figured I should mention that some places still are in school during that time.
(Sorry for the late response. This semester's been crazy, but today I don't have classes, so I can catch up on stuff. sweatdrop )
June 15th will work for me. I'll be taking an online class, but it's a really stupid class that I don't really need to work too hard in. I also might have some camp planning meetings because the park program I work for will be starting a few weeks later. Other than that, I should be good. o3o

I know everyone was discussing June 15th above, but we are getting a bit too close, so right now I am leaning more towards July 14th-16th. Please discuss, and give any strong objections as soon as possible, so we can wrap this up by this weekend. Thank you!
Sorry for the lack of communications. I'm still rather new to guilds/discord here. I'm all up for June 15th- it sounds extremely exciting. The updates to the story are amazing too. I'm getting all giddy just thinking about it.

Unless the country is gonna up and take our summer vacation away, I don't mind pushing the date back more.
Yep, I meant starting on July 14th, and going through the weekend, and ending on July 16th. That way the ball would be Friday-Sunday. After posting the deadlines I am more certain then ever we need the extra month.
Thank you guys for understanding! c:

Mid July is the middle of baseball season which means I probably won't be able to be a co-host or host of any kind. I just got hired to do a s**t ton of baseball related things for a summer team and its already crushing me a bit.. However I think those dates would work really well generally.
July is about the beginning of Summer Vacation for us in Canada. If it happens on a weekend I will be busy from Friday/Sunday. I won't really be able to post depending if I'm the late shifts or morning shifts. I would be able to post but not frequently.

as long as it's not after summer vacation ends (last two weeks of august), I should be ok.

I'm so sorry, I wish things had gone differently and we could be ready to do the ball earlier for you. With hosts picking, characters, and art still needing to be done, there isn't enough time :c
I really hope your schedules allow time for you to both to come by and visit, but know you will be missed (though totally justified) if not c:

I'm curious how much we can get done in three days though. This is an annual thing, why only make the event 3 days only? With all the work from brainstorming plot and doing art, why not make it last a week? I don't usually join these sort of things- so I don't know if we are actually limited to only 3 days.

The annual ball has been a three day event in recent years. With the small number of people working on this event it becomes difficult to keep the plot moving after about three days. As fun as it would be to make it last longer, I honestly don't think anyone here could devote more than three days to being online all day to interact with guests.
We limit ourselves, Gaia doesn't have a limit on user run event length that I am aware of.
