Mark stared at his phone briefly. "Apparently in Allan's room, they're probably doing their weird late night animes marathon thing." He paused. "You know that my spare phone has GPS you can use right?"
Before Rep could answer yes or not to that question, he rolled over again on his trash heap, still clutching the espresso machine, and yawned twice. "Wake me up if anything happens. G'night."

"I had no ******** idea, as usual. Night. Sleep well." he said as he slunk back out, checking his own phone as he went to see if he could see the thing. Allan's room. He didn't really want to gatecrash in the morning but he figured he might as well, making his way across the buildings to the dorms and heading up to the lead floor, it was getting light out which was a good thing at the very least.

The Sun lead's door was as per usual, wide open. The rather impressively large TV was still playing One Piece, though the volume was very quiet. There were about five Sun Hunters gathered there, and all of them were in various states of asleep, curled up in their own sleeping bags and surrounded in bright Asian snacks, the oddest one being squid jerky.
Allan himself was dozing on the plush couch, one arm still propping his head up, and wrapped up in his other arm was what looked like Carl/Steve, who had finally probably given up trying to struggle, and fell asleep somewhere in between the marathon, wrapped up in a Pikachu blanket.

Rep knew Allan's room well, though it had been a long time now since he'd last been in here. Everyone was mercifully asleep and that was a relief. He didn't do anything to wake people, instead he sat himself down next to the open door, inside the room enough to be out of the way of someone entering the room but otherwise as close to the wall as he could be. He didn't feel like he should be there, but right now it felt like the only way he could relax the tense and overwhelming anxiety was with Carl in his sights.

It seemed the Sun lead hadn't fully drifted off to sleep as he cracked one eye open and then smiled very softly at the sight of Rep. With incredible expertise, he disengaged from the couch without waking anyone up and tiptoed to the doorway. "Gomen Rep-kun," he began in a somewhat quiet stage whisper, "your kohai ate all my Pocky, but I still have some squid jerky left!"

Rep gave Allan a small smile he couldn't help. "Thanks for keeping hold of him. And feeding him." he said quietly, with an air of genuine relief and just a bit of exhaustion. He probably should have taken some of Mark's coffee beans frankly.
"He keeps sneaking off... Jerky sounds good." he said, like a reluctant child conceding to candy.

"You know," Allan began, passing Rep about three packages of jerky in varying degrees of spicyness, "he sure looks a lot like Gale-kun."
Almost, Allan, almost. The Sun lead suddenly leaned over and whispered very quietly, "I didn't want him to leave because he doesn't have a weapon."

Rep went for the spiciest one he could find, giving Allan a slightly sad look. "Not Gale." he said quietly, but didn't even know if he was allowed to confide anything more than that. Rep didn't use his indoor voice very much but he was capable of whispering when pushed.
"He doesn't. He's in a lot of danger and he keeps trying to take the portals. I'm trying to take care of him."

"Nankurunaisa!", Allan shouted way too loudly in enthusiasm, stirring a couple of Sun Hunters. "Allan sempai will take care of his kohai even-"
"No," interrupted a half-asleep voice, now sitting straight up on the couch. It was the no of multiple traumatic experiences so bad even now they left a lingering aftertaste, "I mean- thank you- but I can- I already have something planned with-" he had no clue what Rep's name was and just pointed at him instead.

Rep winced at Allan's loud cry and found himself immediately anxious that the Suns would see him and remind him that he didn't belong there.
He gave Carl a flat look as he forgot his name, not surprised but still annoyed.
"Rep." he said.

"Rep-kun," corrected Allan, giving the 'trainee' a huge wink.
Carl decided to take about five more steps back far away. He was still holding the Pikachu blanket in one arm, which he had folded into a small perfect rectangle with only its ears sticking out now, and was so distressed about the whole situation, he had forgotten to actually set it down.
"Thanks, Rep," emphasized his current-former boss, as his former-former boss waved them good night and yawned widely. Allan didn't even seem to mind that Carl still had the blanket. They had walked to to about the stairs on down before Rep's child problem spoke up again, a little quieter "I got lost."

Rep gave the kid a slightly wistful look. "Sure you did." he said, but it wasn't sharp or sarcastic, just a bit tired.
"You know, I only want to help you." he said earnestly. "I'm no here to be your captor or some s**t. I'm worried about you, you get lost here you could die. If you want to run off though, I cannae stop you."
He didn't like being a jailer for people and disliked even more not being able to articulate to "Carl" why he was so important. "Are you all right?" he asked. He knew he wasn't overall all right but he wanted to know about the present.

"I guess," Carl replied dubiously, not really understanding the depth of the question. He seemed to still be tired and stumbled a few steps before also suppressing a yawn, staring at Rep like someone trying very hard to focus.
"I don't want to run off," he finally said, "I want to go back home."

"Home?" Rep asked, finding the concept of home being anywhere but Deus oddly startling. "I live here." He said. "I don't have a home anywhere but here."
Rep extended a strong hand to steady the kid a bit, looking thoughtful.
"Is it a feeling of home you are going towards? Rather than a place you remember?" He was constantly concerned about Cael being apart from Circe and could only wonder if it was something weaponbound calling him home.

It looked like he had some strong words about Rep's sense of home and this island in general, but only managed to muster up enough energy to just stare placidly at him. It wasn't until the second question that he stopped leaning against the wall to actually think.
"I guess, more like I should really be there," Carl look caught between fighting drowsiness and trying to actually concentrate, "I don't remember why - should I remember why?" A though suddenly occurred of how much Rep knew, and there was a small moment of hesitation. "Are we friends?"
