He sighed though, and leaned back. “Mounting pressure or not, I appreciate the reprieve. While we’ve got it, at least. But I intend to return the favor. If I hear of anything, I’ll find you so you can prepare.”
The Dark Mirror Senshi struggled with small numbers, but for as much as Remarque resented that, it was a blessing as much as a curse. Very rarely did they wind up in the cross hairs of anyone’s battles. Sure, they hadn’t made much progress towards their goals, but at least they hadn’t been wiped out.
At least it bought them time.
