 Enju's attention was instantly focused completely on Shizuka, his face revealing eagerness that someone else had even an inkling of appreciation for flowers.
"White? It could be a gardenia, or plumeria or even a orchid of some kind, their's so many..."
Gardenia sure smelled wonderedful as did all of them but gardenia had an enchanting smell. Plumeria were some of the cutest flowers he had ever seen, small and rounded of perfectly, fading from yellow to white. Orchid were his favorites because their were so many different colors, shapes and sizes, they were lovely. He turned around, leaning his arms on the wall, and his head on his arms. he chuckled and shook his head.
"No no, nothing living in here..Except me of course."
Being the playful Gehaka he was, he wondered if trying to tug the Gehaka in would offend him. Well, it probably would but how bad would the consequences be was what he was really wondering, giving Shi a sly girn.

 Shi thought carefully as Enju described all the white flowers he knew of. "The Gardenia sounds familiar... and is the only one that sounds large enough for me to stick my entire face into..." he smiled to himself, recalling how a Haka had once caught him doing just that...
Shi looked completely reluctant to bathe with the other Gehaka, but not because he was disgusted, he was just funny about being naked. He looked around quickly, obviously trying to find some excuse or question to ask about the pond that could buy him more time...
"Oh... erm... well then... I, uh... is it sanitary?" Shi asked, finally. Yes, that question would do. (Aww, just yank him in already, would you?)

Enju could completely sense his unease about being naked and withheld laughs. He grinned, nodding that it must have been a Gardenia then. They sure had a wonderful smell. Maybe for an idea for one of the inside pools he could soak gardenias in it. That would make a lovely smelling Haka.
Enju's lips pursed as he asked another question. Oh no, if he was here, he was getting in, clothes or not. Pretending to be offended, after all he was the one responsible for cleaning the pools and if he questioned the pools he was questioning him. Of course he was just using his faux anger to pull the wary Gehaka in.
"Well, Shizuka, I clean all the pools, so fi you have a problem with the pool you have a problem with me."
Of course, he couldn't of sounded less angry, giving way to a mischevious smirk as he suddenly lunged at Shizuka, grabbing him around the waist and pulling him in the water.

Shizuka hadn't meant to insult his new friend and suddenly tensed terribly at his anger. "I... I... I didn't..." he started, but it was too late. Enju had grabbed him about the waist and was trying to drag him into the water.
Shi struggled against the Gehaka's bare skin and groped for the edge of the spring. "AH! What're you doing, Enju?!" he yelped, helplessly.
All too soon he was drenched in the comforting water. He stopped struggling, realizing there was no way of getting out of the spring with Enju in there. He sighed and flopped in the water, glaring slightly at Enju for ruining his ruise. "Are you pleased now? I'm in the spring with you..."
But was Enju satisfied that he was just in the spring? We'll see...

Enju's eyes were narrowed as he grinned sweetly, feigning innocence. He didn't let go of Shizuka just yet, too busy cackling.
"Yes, I'm very pleased, I was afraid you were going to sit there all day."
Enju finally let go but half-heartedly. One of his favorite past times was rough housing in the spring but this Gehaka didn't seem in the mood for it. He also held an air of vulnerability about him even though he seemed just as strong as Enju himself. Enju crinkled his nose slightly, still keeping his smile in place.
He had pushed on his bruise and it was throbbing like there was no tomorrow. Ah well, he though, it'll go away eventually. Enju still snickered, dunking under again and swimming about the spring this way and that way, wings propelling him while his limbs relaxed.
"Not that bad, right? No living things, it's clean and the perfect temperature!"

Shizuka let himself melt against Enju, not really considering his nakedness as much as the fact that it seemed to deter Enju's silliness.
"I wouldn't have sat there all day..." Shi retorted falsely. He grinned and splashed water at his captor. "... just until my mother came and said he was pruney enough to leave."
Shi was set free and watched Enju swim around the spring. He just relaxed, letting the water soothe away the pains of a thousand cuts, some which were deep enough that they never really healed and remained scars on his wings, hands, chest, and back. Shi was very careful about his face.
As Enju swam up to him and made the remark about no other living creatures, a coy look passed over Shi's features as he said matter-of-factly, "No livings things... EXCEPT YOU!" and he roughly pushed Enju under the water again, laughing wholeheartedly as he did so.
Grinning broadly, Shi tried to swim away, using his wings to propel him as well as his arms, before Enju could surface and try to get revenge.

Enju closed his eyes as water was splashe at him, failing to dodge it by duckng under the water. He sneered at Shizuka, folding his arms.
"I bet you would have stayed there."
He twirled in circles in the water before being shoved under, laughing and choking but finding it very amusing. He snorted out water when he resurfaced, shaking his head and spitting out water, a mock frown on his face.
He dove underwater, the spring farily deep, and skimmed along the bottom of the pool. He finally caught up, and playfully tugged at Shizuka's pants, trying to frighten him.
It brought back memories of how he learned to swim. His father and some other Gehaka ahd throwin him in the pool when he was young and forced him to leanr how to swim. They didn't let him drown but he learned quickly. It sounded mean but it was actually very affective. Rough housing just brought good memories to him though of his father and uncles.

Shizuka laughed merrily as he tried to sprint across the spring, but as he looked back, he didn't see Enju at all... had he gotten angry and climbed out and left Shi alone? Shi paused and treaded water, no longer able to touch bottom where he was in the spring. A puzzled expression was rapt on his face until...
From under him he could feel something snaking around his leg. Suddenly, his trousers were yanked completely off of him, taking him down under the water a ways. Opening his eyes, he saw Enju and scowled, swimming determinedly after him to get his pants back.
The two surfaced finally, with Shi hanging on to one leg of his trousers and Enju holding onto the other. "Let go you... you... pants fiend!" he mock-growled, grinning broadly afterwards. He knew there was no way that Enju was going to let him put the soggy trousers back on after he worked so hard to get them off. "Stop being stubborn and... give... them... here!"
As Shi gave the pants three final, hard tugs, his hands slipped and he fell back into the spring.

Enju had a manical grin on his face, laughing so hard he was starting to swallow water and choke at the same time. He struggled to swim faster but he pants were weighing down. He finally stoped when Shizuka caught hold of them. He tugged more, flapping his wings in the water.
"Hey, you insulted my pool, therefore I get to have your pants!"
Enju fell bakcwards too, grinning and laughing and resurfacing again, the pants over his face. He snorted and swam to the edge of the pool, laying out the pair of trousers to dry. His laugh was crisp and strong, a sound that was just as honest as his smile. He paddled over to where he saw Shizuka fall, cocking his head at him.
"Sorry, are you okay? Didn't hit a rock did ya? The pant fiend apolgizes if you did."

Shizuka was laughing just as hard as Enju, but had enough common sense not to choke on the water. (How long had he been working at the springs?)
"I didn't insult your pool... I insulted your ability to clean it!" he said with a hard laugh. "If you give me back my pants, I'll take it all back."
Shi resurfaced after failing to recover his pants and, had, in fact, hit one of his ears on a rock near the edge of the spring. Blood poured from the wound down his forehead. "Oww..." he murmured, touching his injured ear. He touched it with his hand and winced, looking at the crimson stain on his hands.
"Oh no... that's not good..." he said quietly. He was turned away from Enju, so he couldn't see the wound, but Shi hoped he could hide it from him. His stupid hemophelia was ruining thier fun... why did he have to bleed like that? "Uh.... no, No! I'm fine!" he called, lying - you could tell by the way his voice wavered that he was upset. He splashed water onto the wound, hoping it would heal faster than normal...
"C'mon... c'mon... stop bleeding..." he whispered in frustration.

Enju was too immature to be bothered to not swallow water. He was much too riley to think about things like that. He again put on a fake but convincingly angry face.
"No! I own your pants now! Mine mine mine!"
He said it with a sneer and looed possibly the most childishly he ever could. He stopped though when he realzed he'd actually gotten hurt. His ears were pinned back and he hurriedly swam over to him. He wasn't easily fooled when it came it lies, he was actually very good at spotting them even though Shizuka wasn't hiding it well. He crawled to the rock he was on and peered at his ear, his eyes traveling to the red. he was surprised how much blood there was, he'd cut his ears before but never bled that much.
"Shizuka, what's...I'm sorry! Maybe keep it in the water the heat will slow it down, maybe..."
He wasn't too good at treating wounds, even though he had many. He whimpered lightly, wanting to help but feeling guilty.

Shizuka didn't want to leave, nor did he want Enju to feel responsible for his illness. He tried to remember what kind of ointment and such his mother usually used on his wounds to keep them from bleeding so much, other than that a bandage would stop the blood from getting everywhere until the ointment took effect.
"Does your family keep a supply of bandages and medicinal herbs anywhere around here...?" Shi asked quickly. Then he thought, wait a minute, Enju loves planting herbs. "Wait... do you have any herbs with leaves in the shape of a star? I believe that's the plant where to ointment comes from that I use on my cuts. If you can find that plant and some bandages, I can get it to stop bleeding in no time..."
"It's really not your fault, Enju. I'm a hemopheliac... I bleed like this even when I p***k a finger... it doesn't help much that I'm a completely klutz..." Shi thought aloud, attempting to waylay some of his friend's fears.

Enju's hand were twitching with eagerness to help. He knew he should have been more careful around him. He didn't know him well enough to be so rough with him. His demeanor sharpened as he listened intently. Herbs? Of course! Enju smasked his face, running out of the pool and going to a rock that seemed to have been carved into a square.
He pulled off the top fo the rock, apparently it was a basket and shifted around the contents. Almost all the pools had one, they included towels, bandages, herbs for all sorts of things (some for waking up Haka that had accidentally passed out in the hot water). Almost all the herbs he had though were capable of stopping bleeding. He grabbed a star shaped, giving a relieved sigh, and a strip of bandaging.
"Here, I'll dress it."
He didn't seem to hear Shi's last sentence but simply nodded. He was hurt and to heal it was all he needed to hear. He grinned and shook his head, glad that at least he was alright enough to be humorous. He hled the herbs underwater for a second, rubbing them into a pulp in his hands and then bringing it to his ear, gently rubbing the salve on it. He took the bandage he was holding in his mouth and wrapped it lightly around his ear so it'd keep the salve in place. He finally sat back down, looking at his ear intently to see if the herb had acted.
"Feel alright?"

Shizuka kept splashing his ear to keep the bleeding from staining his pale skin and tried to remain calm. Holding still so that Enju would have little trouble dressing such an awkward wound, Shi was completely silent. He hoped the herb itself might stop the bleeding even faster than the ointment his mother used, he hoped he wouldn't have to leave so soon.
The leaves stung a bit as they were massaged into the wound on his ear, but Enju had very gentle hands. He blushed a little at being treated so well. Usually his mother griped the whole time he was dressing any of his wounds. ("Why can't you be more careful?" "Why can't you just stay out of trouble?" "Wheh-blah-blah-complaint-complaint")
"I'm... a little dizzy... but I should be okay... I should probably stay in the shallows for a while so that I don't pass out and drown while the herbs are taking effect," Shi said quietly, still blushing a bit. His lips had faded a bit, as well as the few rosy patches on his cheeks and skin. Probably from blood loss. He leaned on the edge of the pool, smiling up at Enju. "Thank you, Enju. That was very kind of you... I'd hate to have to run off again like I have to every other time... sometimes I don't make it home and have to be carried by one of my brothers or my mother's Gehakas."

Enju's hand were very fidegty, wondering if he should have tightened it up more here or put more herbs on it. For being a fighter, he was very sensitive to other peoples pain. Of course, he never really tried to hurt his opponent but more so tried to disable them from fighting back. Take away their weapon. Anything so he didn't have to resort to brute force But hurting Shizuka when he hadn't even meant to made him feel even worse.
His face didn't show his horrible guilt though, instead sitting next to him, nodding as he explained he should take it easy. He didn't sit to close, scratching the back of his neck and giving him occasional glances as he relaxed.
"Mm, sorry Shizuka...I'll be more careful next time.."
