I think mine was Chickensoup for the Teenage Soul I. I read it when I was 11/12. In my spring break I went to Canada (Ottawa to be precise) to visit a good friend. That was where I picked it up. I turned 12 in that spring break. When I got home I immediately bought Chickensoup for the Teenage Soul I-III via amazon. I love those books. They are really inspiring.

Eccentric Iconoclast Proudly_Jewish Mizuci I can't remember what my first "book" was! crying I'll take a good guess and say that it was an Inuyasha or Cardcaptor Sakura manga. My first novel without any pretty pictures was Winnie the Pooh in Japanese. I'm currently only on my second attempt at a novel in another language--which is Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in Japanese. *has read the first 4 books in Japanese* it's so cool in Japanese, eh? 4laugh I need to get the books in Japanese. >.< www.sasugabooks.com www.amazon.co.jp(I wouldn't trust Amazon.com ones though) My first books were manga and novels (that we sequels to manga) the first one I read was Epotoransu MaI! by Yuu watase( I love her manga!) (epotoransu! mai is not available in english but her: Ayashi no ceres, Fushigi Yuugi, Imadoki, and Alice 19th are available mulitnationally Ayashi no Ceres and Fushigi Yuugi Anime are also multinational.

When I was in High school, I knew all teh Asterix and obelix off by heart... I accidently picked up the French copy they had and did not realise till 5 pages in it was not in English...
Other than that it was a Japanese Childrens book about animals eating.
My next aim is to read a Tin Tin book in Esperanto.

The first one that I actually read was まもって守護月天!The first one I ever had was Courderoy (sp?). I also want Harry Potter in Japanese and Latin to help me with those. I wish the bookstores around here had lit. from more languages. They only have English and Spanish and manga in Japanese. >.<

My first foregin book was El Alquemista by Paulo Coelho. I'm currently in the process of reading it, though I read the English version a while back. After I'm done with that I'll be reading El Zahir, which is by the same authour (and I havn't read it in English yet, so it should prove to be interesting...)
Both of the mentioned books are in Spanish.

Mine was School Rumble by Kobayashi Jin. Yes, the japanese book DOES have a english title, which is probably why my parents bought it for me.
Well, I've probably had others in spanish, I just don't really remember which one was first since I've had them since child hood.
