Remarque nodded once more, satisfied with the age. Knowing that the Senshi was seventeen made it much easier and he breathed a small sigh of relief. "You might be of age to get a job, but don't worry about that until you're settled in. Look," he eyed the male picking at his clothing, "It's not a problem. But you're gonna want at least a week or two to adjust, to get your affairs in order, aren't you? So don't stress out trying to get a job in that time. I'll work with you on that. Maybe I can get you a few weeks of temp work at my store? I work at an antique store," he explained, "Spring's around the corner, we need to go through inventory. We're moving a lot of merchandise, it might be worth it to hire someone on to help with the extra inventory. If you're interested in that sort of thing, it's not much--maybe only two or three weeks of work. We could squeeze a few hours in after you get out of school."
He shifted positions, planting his hands on his hips as he considered the prospect. "At the very least, it would give you the opportunity to put it on a resume or put me down as a reference, and give you a few extra dollars to take care of yourself and get settled in? --I'll still cover room for you, until you get a more permanent job."
It was negotiable; Remarque cared more about the Court than he could stress with words. Here was a young, impressionable Senshi. If they got enough of those, maybe they'd solve all these mysteries...

It wasn't like he would have to do anything but help with inventory, he didn't need to know about the merchandise or anything, so it wasn't hard - right? He needed to do something, in order to help, he couldn't just do nothing. So he nodded his head. "I can help - it won't be bad." The last part more to himself than the other male.
He was right though, it would be something he could put on a resume even if it was only a short time working. Maybe, if he was lucky, it would turn into more but even if it didn't that was fine. It was something and it made up for the help the other was offering him.
Swallowing, dark eyes wet from unshed tears, he unfolded himself slowly. "I'll take the job and help. I'll do good." He just had to learn to drag himself from his bed long enough to do that - to work. Maybe though if he wasn't living as he was it was possible? It had become what he did in order to hide away from his problems - sleep them away. It took time to break habits but surely he could do it - right?
"Thank you...it means a lot to me." Standing slowly he approached the other as he spoke.

Remarque cracked a small smile. He didn't miss the wetness in the boy's eyes but, forever uncomfortable around emotion, he was quick to play it off. Or, better, to ignore it.
He nodded, only.
"I'll work you hard," he warned, but it seemed good-natured enough. "It's probably getting late, and while Mirrorspace is a nice break from the cold, it doesn't grant me the luxuries of powering down. I've got a business card, it's got my phone number and email on it. You give me a text, call, email--whatever works for you, and I'll get in contact with you about what we need to do to get you settled. If you change your mind about anything--no pressure. I just want to make sure you're taken care of, all right?"

And he was glad the other didn't mention that he was getting emotional, he wouldn't have known how to handle it really. He wasn't good with people giving him that sort of attention, it had been a while - too long perhaps.
"That's ok..." He'd have to adapt, a lot, and sleep better when he did. He just hoped he was right, that he could handle it. He didn't want to let down the person offering him such help though, it would be wrong to fail the other.
"Y-yeah...I'll text as soon as I can." And they could arrange things. He'd remain in Romano's but at least he'd have somewhere else to stay and live, somewhere off campus. He could have a place to himself, sort of anyway, and would be able to feel more comfortable.
"T-thank you...I'll be fine and I appreciate the help." He'd be taking the other up on the help - all of it. He just hoped he didn't fail somehow.Kyuseisha no Hikari Done I think. We can plot a follow up if you want.
