Dorado was very still for a moment.
What he was saying.... that wasn't possible, was it? It couldn't be. "You're lying." She said firmly, her eyes flickering across his face as she tried to pick out the lie. It was hard, considering... it was a cat. "That's impossible!" They were working with the bad guys?! Her fingers went slack without thinking, trying to process what the heck that even meant.
"Why?" She demanded. "Why would they do such a thing? We're supposed to be heroes!"

"Heroes?"
The urge to laugh was strong and it was clear from his expression that he was struggling to keep a straight face as he reiterated the question again. "Heroes? Haven't you heard, kid, that only the good die young?"
Feeling the slack in her grip, he took the window of opportunity and wriggled free of her hold, making sure to kick a fair amount of snow in her face as he did so. Scampering forward, he turned around only when he felt he was a safe enough distance away from pouncing territory. Who knew what these brats could pull these days, with their magical jumping and twirling abilities?
Shaking himself almost violently, he threw off the clumps of snow that had fastened itself to his backside. Ugh, it would take close to an hour to dry off from all this...this wet.
Glancing back up at his adversary, he sighed as he noticed the utterly distressed look on her young face. Jeez, what was it with kids these days?
"Everyone's a hero in their own mind, sweetheart. Until you're ready to actually fight the ones that feel different than you, you may want to stick to wrestling cats. Or dogs. Dogs sound better - yeah - do that."
With that, he turned back around and took off down the street - maybe staying home for the night wasn't such a bad idea after all!

Dorado fumbled to try and snatch the cat again, but it was far too late. He was gone--and she was left sputtering in outrage and shock as the cold snow hit her straight in the face. Batting it away angrily, she glared at the furry little beast, her fists clenched as she scrambled to her feet. She was half tempted to give chase, but even with her Aquarium Agility, she wasn't sure she wouldn't just slip on the ice and wound her pride.
"Oh YEAH?!" She roared at his retreating back, snatching up snow, rock--whatever--to start hurling them as hard as she could. "I hope a dog eats YOU! You--you--!!"
She couldn't think of an insult bad enough, and settled for stomping her foot with a snarl of absolute loathing. Stupid cat! Stupid senshi who thought they were too good to fight with the rest of them!
Furious, freezing, and more than a little disturbed, Sailor Dorado stalked back the way she'd came. She needed to think. She needed to hit something.
