Dropping it back into her lap, Alrik wandered off into the kitchen, no doubt to pull out their collection of take-out menus and spread them across the otherwise spotless kitchen counter. He'd begrudgingly return them to their home after his sister made a point to remind him, but in the meantime he would enjoy the colorful chaos they created with their varying logos and scripts as he worked to pinpoint the right restaurant's paper menu.
"But not today. I plan on spending the rest of my afternoon in front of the computer, mouse in one hand, spicy shrimp soup in the other."
And that's exactly what he did, his wonderful sister by his side the entire time, typing away at her newest story between bites of her own curry.
