Part Two
It was almost a shame that Ruth wasn't the sort to verbally taunt her opponents. She'd always been the run-away from them type. She'd always preferred putting some space and then lurking and stalking from a distance. Being up close and personal had a different feel that the blonde reaper had yet to determine whether she liked it or not but hey. She was beating the stuffing out of the shadow so it was all good.

Part Two
Ruth was toying with the shadow at this point. The wild swings she'd been taking was becoming more controlled and calculated in their strength and intensity. She could have just ended things right then and there but it was somewhat actually fun getting hit and retaliating two-fold.

Part Two
The thing was on its last legs and Ruth delivered the finishing blow. With that taken care of, the reaper headed out of the maze where the emerald Hellhound was waiting for her to give her a certificate of passing the exam.
Huh. It was rather anticlimactic when you thought about it. But to Ruth, she wouldn't have it any other way.
