diantha:
four-temperament ensemble - the melancholic to caty's sanguine, colin's phlegmatic, and nike's choleric.
determinator - highly ambitious and motivated, undaunted by challenges and criticism, willing to work relentlessly towards her (high) goals.
challenge seeker - enjoys testing herself (particularly in terms of intellect).
berserk button - being condescending to or patronized, particularly by men.
animal motifs - her patronus is an owl, an animal noted for its wisdom, much like her house of ravenclaw.
badass bookworm - she might be bookish, but she knows how to throw a proper punch as well, and she's a decent duelist to boot.
belligerent sexual tension - with wren, although they were both in denial of it for a long time.
class representative - was a prefect, to no one's surprise.
slap-slap-kiss - has had some fierce disagreements with wren, but ultimately their attraction to one another won out.
neutral good - actively good.
promoted to parent - after the death of her father and her stepmother's crippling depression, di was forced to step up to essentially run the household (at least over the summer).
'the reason you suck' speech - delivered a stinging one to mordred when he became possessive and jealous of her friendships with other boys.
big brother instinct - with all her younger half-siblings, despite their bickering.
trauma congo line - her mother drowned when she was a little girl, leaving her to be raised by her loving but often busy father and her somewhat cold stepmother. then as a teenager, her father died in the line of duty, and her stepmother's breakdown and the subsequent familial conflict brought her childhood to a very swift end.
break the cutie - in the wake of her father's sudden death.
cool big sis - certainly not to treva or madoc, whom she rarely gets along with, but lena looks up to her a lot.
straight man - to her wild and morally dubious younger sister treva, and to the more high strung and happy go lucky caty.
the stoic - can come across as quite serious and reserved, although she does have a more lighthearted, dorky side.
deadpan snarker - when really riled.
the blue oni - to wren's more aggressive and short-tempered red oni.
the three faces of eve - the steady, wise wife, compared to her sisters, who could respectively embody the innocent, playful child (lena), and the sexual, bold seductress (treva).
only sane man - views herself as this in relation to her family.
sibling yin-yang - with treva.
opposites attract - with wren, who she initially appeared to have very little in common with.
will they or won't they - with wren (they would, after a lot of beating around the bush).
all girls want bad boys - while wren is deep down a good person, he does come across as more than a little 'wrong side of the tracks'.
broken bird - after her father's death.
break the haughty - during a particularly nasty fight with treva, who accused her of only looking out for herself.
don't you dare pity me - incredibly proud, even to her own detriment.
good is not nice - di has a very strict moral code, but she's not always the nicest about how she enforces it, as she can be very blunt and critical of others.
dutiful daughter - always wanted her father to be proud of her, and played nice with her stepmother, despite a lot of tension in the relationship.
foolish sibling, responsible sibling - to treva.
thicker than water - despite the more dysfunctional aspects of her family, she will always stick with them.
precision f-strike - has only cursed on a rare number of occasions, to everyone's shock.
go-getter girl - while at hogwarts and beyond as she began her training as a lawyer.
the perfectionist - has incredibly high standards for herself and others.
big, screwed up family - the warlows.
bonding over missing parents - both she and wren lost a parent at a young age, and were essentially orphans by the age of sixteen.
daddy's girl - before owain's death.
deceased parents are the best - idolized her father even more after he died.
foil - composed, put together, bookish to treva's more trashy appearance, foul language, and attitude problems.
academic alpha b***h - could be quite competitive when it came to grades.
crusading lawyer - aspires to be this as a defense attorney.
brainy brunette - has brown hair, is very brainy.
good with numbers - is quite talented when it comes to mathematics.
nerds are sexy - is fairly good-looking and dresses well, while also being extremely intelligent.
soapbox sadie - often accused of being this by treva.

big brother instinct - occasionally, with madoc.
trauma congo line - her father died suddenly, her mother shut down emotionally, her douchebag uncle started trying to assume control of the household, she and her brother were shipped off to live with their grandparents for a summer because no one could 'handle' them, and to top it all off she and her boyfriend were abducted and nearly killed by his prison escapee father.

black sheep - she and her brother madoc are this of their family.
teens are monsters - was not a very nice teenager.
voluntary shapeshifter - is a metamorphmagus who can change her appearance at will.

liddie:
foolish sibling, responsible sibling - the foolish to essie's responsible.
lawful good - passively good.
dutiful daughter - to start off with, anyways, before she began to rebel.
soapbox sadie - defensively at the start of her hogwarts career.
tomboy and girly girl - the girly girl to essie's tomboy.
preacher's kid - her father is a devout anglican minister.
strict parents make sneaky kids - the more her parents pushed her, the more she snuck around.
hair of gold, heart of gold - strawberry blonde hair and is a sweetheart.
the baby of the bunch - the youngest of four children.

teen pregnancy - narrowly averted this with her abusive boyfriend; left after realizing she might be trapped if she got pregnant.

finny:
you gotta have blue hair - she's a heroine, come on!
shy blue-haired girl - lost some of the shyness as she matured, but pretty much.
blue oni - to her big sister's red oni.
shrinking violet - could come across as this, particularly during her awkward puberty years.
good is not soft - the embodiment of this trope.
neutral good - passively good.
adorkable - finny and all her siblings.
long hair is feminine - wore her hair very long throughout her childhood until her belated rebellion against her parents, during which she cut it short in a bob, and continues to wear it that way as an adult woman.
important haircut - see above.
affectionate nickname - 'finny' instead of delphinia.
beware the nice ones - once her trust is lost, it's very hard to gain it back, and while she comes across as very forgiving, she's got more steel to her than one might assume.
nice girl - sometimes dismissed as this; she never stood out much to her classmates because of her mild-mannered, easygoing personality.
badass bookworm - when confronted with a mugger, she keeps a cool head and tries to use her smarts to escape the situation without getting hurt or revealing her magical powers.
all girls want bad boys - played with. she was originally betrothed to soren, who has some... empathy problems... and as an adult, is intrigued by van groot, who seems outwardly pleasant and jovial, but who is hiding a pretty dark past.
the klutz - she can be a bit careless with her surroundings, which leads to her sometimes breaking or tripping over things. this has lessened as she's aged from an impulsive child to a more cautious adult.
cute clumsy girl - see above.
ooc is serious business - when finny loses her temper or starts speaking in a much colder and harsher manner, everyone knows they done ******** up.
weak, but skilled - she is a physically delicate young woman and she's certainly not an accomplished duelist. however she is still a powerful and talented witch with a lot of intelligence.
