Her lips pursed, reviewing the selections presented, then considering Lily. Apart from the lace there wasn't a set commonality in them. Three of them had higher necklines, but one of those necklines was an overlay; there were sleeves, half sleeves, no sleeves, two longer, one short, and one short with a sheer overlay to the skirt that ran longer.

That the Zuhair Murad had been declined was sad, but not having a dress that cost over six thousand dollars on the table freed up a lot of room for Jada's favorite thing. Shoes.

"So, depending," she said after a moment, "I would go with either a shorter dress, or the first one. The first dress is a black classic, and would be awesome with some strappy heels or a wrap? But the short teal one could be paired with leggings to make it fun and quirky if you're feeling it. It depends on how 'formal' you think your grandmother would want this 'date night' dress to be."

Beaming, Jada pushed the initial plain black dress towards one fo the staff members, along with the short one. "If you are going to look striking, go with this. If you want versatility, and the ability to... fashion it up, so to speak, go for the short one." Sample sizes were dragged out for Lily to try on if she wanted to see how the styles would look. "If you're not a casual person, you can just try on the long one, but if you like leggings, or boots, try them both before making a decision."

She gave Lily a bright smile. "Don't let your grandmother be the one to decide. It's her money, and her opinion got us this for, but the final decisions need to be your taste too. You're the one wearing it, not her, and if you'll only wear it once because it is distasteful, it wastes her money, and your time."

Didn't like making decisions? The thought did not compute, but Jada covered for it quickly, clearing her throat along with Lily herself. "Alright, then. Into a changing room." She followed as they guided her in, and pursed her lips, considering.

"What about your comfort? Do you find heels or flats easier on your feet?" It was not phrased as a decision, so hopefully she would be able to acquire an answer that would help point Jada towards the end decision.

If she didn't like to decide, the short dress would provide a variety of options... but if she didn't like to decide, it could wind up a very cold, undecorated uniform.

Flats were easier. Flats would be such an odd waste of that lovely long dress though. Which meant Jada remained undecided, chewing on her lip and considering. Flats were a more casual shoe (to her mind) and so that would lend itself to the shorter dress. Which... her brow furrowed, considering Lily again carefully. The longer dress was so pretty.

Well hell. "Do you wear stockings or leggings, or typically go bare-legged?"

Nope. That was it.

Lily was getting both of them. Waving her hand, Jada gestured the intent wordlessly to the sales associated, who bustled around looking to see if the measurements were right.

"Your grandmother is buying you the long one," Jada informed Lily, "And the short one will be a gift from me." She was really quite hoping Lily didn't think to get into prices or anything like that until she was securely away, with her purchases.

Moving over to the shoes, Jada began pointing at a few. "Try these, and- oh, these are cute."

Glossy, floral, flats, monochrome, accentuating, lace... her mind whirled through what little she knew- and if Jada pulled out a few pairs for herself to be purchased alongside the dress she was buying for Lily, well. She did like spending money.

Jada blinked at the shoe selection, bewildered. "Well, Zanotti's are always a good choice," she agreed with the gold pair, "and the boots could go with anything- same with the kitten heels. Personally I've never been a fan of oxfords, but the heeled version isn't bad. In fact, they may be quite cute with the shorter of the dresses."

"Those will do," Jada agreed with a smile, and waited patiently until the shoes were sized. "And you have two lovely outfits, and at least one of them will satisfy your grandmother's desire for you to have an outfit of quality, I hope."

Patiently, she stayed through the measurements, and passed her credit card over to the salespeople, signing without actually looking at the total. "I hope I was at least somewhat helpful."

Jada beamed at the younger woman as the purchases were made. "Oh no," she said with a laugh. "I don't need anything. Just take your new shoes and dresses and make your grandmother proud- and me, by rocking them. Okay?"
