A day in the life of Tri

Tristitia lays on the floor of the shed quietly, looking peaceful. His eyes soon open, red and bloodshot. He slowly sits up and groans, holding his lower back tenderly as he had slept on a rock. He slowly looks around the small shed as he yawned a bit.

“Stupid rocks...” Tri says as he drags himself up and off the sandy floor. He dusts himself off and walks over to the door, kicking some sand that was blocking it before he opens it and walks outside, yawning. When he yawned a breeze blew a bit of sand into his mouth, causing him to choke and fall too his hand and knees. He whines a bit and slowly drags himself up to his feet again. Tri walks over to the door and grabs a hold of the door handle, flinching as his stomach growls loudly.

He shakes his head a bit and walks outside into the sand. His eyes close a bit and yawns, starts to staggers down the sandy road, tired and quite hungry. He looks around and sniffs the air as he starts to smell the scent of some food coming from a ways away..

“Mmmm, smells yummy” He mumbles with a bit of a smiles and he walks towards the food. His eyes widen a bit as a small group of kids run past him, giggling and laughing. Causing him to stop and looks back at them for a bit. He ends up shaking his head and continues on his way to the food that he had smelled earlier.

He walks over to the busy food stall and notices that the person behind it didn’t notice him. After he realized that he quickly starts to grab food and shove it into his pants as he had no pockets on his pants.

“Hm..?” The stall owner mumbles, “Hey!!” Tri quickly looks up at them and runs off as the owner starts to chase after him, yelling more. He grins as her runs away, turning around a corner quickly. As he runs down he pulls a piece of food out of his pants and eats it quickly, grinning widely. He skids to a stop and dashes around a corner and down the road that he came on from the shed he lives in. He runs up to the door of the shed and opens it, quickly slips in quietly and closes it.

He walks over to the corner of the room that has two barrels and a hanging net. He opens the barrel and take the food out of his pants and puts the food into the barrel. Once he had put the food into it he closes the barrel and plops down of the sandy floor with a heavy sigh.

“I need a blanket or something..” He groans and drags himself up, grabbing a piece of food from the barrel before he opens the door and walks out. He looks around and takes a bite of the food as he trots back into town from a different route.

Once he get’s into town he looks around for something that he needs. As Tri looks around he sees a cloth and clothing shop. He walks in and looks around at that cloth that the store has. While he looks around he sees a roll of thick, soft cloth. He grins and walks over to it, slowly picking it up and looking it over to see how good of quality the cloth is. He smiles and puts it under his arm and starts to walk out of the shop.

“Um, sir? You have to pay for that.” The shop owner says and tries to wave him down. As Tri notices he opens the door and runs out of the shop with a grin. He runs down the road, laughing quite a bit. As he runs he hears the shop keeper’s yelling start to fade as he runs off down the road.

Tri swings open the Shed door and slides in with a grin. He quickly closes it and blocks it with a piece of something to keep anyone from coming into the shed. He chuckles and sits down, setting the roll of cloth against the wall gently as he pants.

Once he caught his breath and hopped up and picks up the broom in there, sweeping up the sand out of against one of the walls. He unrolls the cloth and lays it down in the sweeped up area like a bed. He chuckles and sits down on it and looks around the shed at the collection that he’s gotten so far.

“I like what i’ve gotten so far” He says with a smile, leans over and opens the barrel and takes out a piece of food. He closes it and leans back against the shed wall as he starts to eat. While he eats he relaxes and smiles warmly, crosses his legs. Tri looks around and yawns deeply, noticing that he’s gotten quite tired from his running around.

He finishes off his bit of food and flops onto his side on the nice, comfy piece of cloth for a bed. When he flops over he flinches and reaches down, pulls a piece of fruit out of his pants that he had forgotten.

“Ow, that hurt..” He groans out and opens the barrel again and sets it in, closes it and flops back down. He yawns widely and rolls onto his back, looking up at the ceiling. But it was totally worth it since he knew he liked being a thief now and would stick to it. Tri smiles and lays quietly as he breath slowly and calmly. His eyes slowly drifted closed as he falls asleep with a smile on his face.

Package delivery for...

((I was given permission to use the NPC Laine by Orphy))

Tristitia walked down the street, gulping hard as he held the package in his hands that he was meant to deliver. He glanced down at it, still walking. “It could be food..” He mumbled to himself, he moved one hand too open but a loud, painful grumble came from his stomach that caused him to flinch. “O-ow..” He leaned forward so the least amount of pressure was on his aching empty stomach as possible.
He heard loud thudding as if something big was running at him, his eyes snapped up and he came face to face with a large xaraan just before it slammed into him. He yelped and held the box close to him so that it wouldn’t be damaged. The dog stepped on him and over him, pausing and coughing and hacking as if it got something in it throat. Tri dragged himself up, holding his gut tenderly before he walked over to the xaraan and patted it on the back, helping it cough up.. something. He couldn’t tell what it was, it just looked like gross slime.
“Wow… You’re like me.” Tri mumbled as he helped the xaraan the best he could. The xaraan looked up at him and tilted its head before he coughed again. Tri chuckled a bit and patted it’s side. “Could he help me deliver this package?” Tri asked the very cruddy bird. It made a sound that sounded good.
Tri smiled and stood back up, still bent over a lot. The bird walked over to him and stood next too him, shaking the sand off.
Tristitia started to walk down the sandy road, his feet burning from the lack of shoes. He ignored that pain and walked, looking at the signs on each of the buildings, looking for the bar. “I wish he told me where in town it was…” He mumbled to the xaraan, kind of grumpy. He sighed a bit, knowing he didn’t tell him because he didn’t want to make it easy on him.
He stopped and peeked into a window of a store, looking too see if there were any goods to steal. He saw a few good things, but the were at the way back of the store behind the counter, where the person is standing. The xaraan grabbed him by his already torn, old pants and pulled him along, away from the shop. Tri glanced at the xaraan and sighed. “Right, I have a job to do.” He said, walking forward and trying to keep his mind of the job and not what he wanted to do.
Tristitia took a deep breath and looked only at the signs. After about ten or so minutes of searching for the bar he found it, tucked away in the corner. His eyes sparkle when he sees the sign. “We found it!” He yelled happily, throwing his arms into the air, holding onto the box. His eyes widen and he tenses as he stomach makes a monstrous angry growl. He melts onto the ground, holding his belly, whimpering. “O-o-ow” he groaned and grabbed onto the xaraan, dragging himself back up. The bird shook off the sand, coughing. “I’m gonna name you phlegm, Bird.” He said and shook his head. Tristitia and Phlegm walked over to the front of the bar. Tri takes a deep breath and walked into the bar, holding the package close to his skinny frame.
When he steps he sees a lot of scary people with large glasses of beer. He took a deep breath and walked in more, looking around. He held the box close to his chest as he walks around the bar. “L-laine?” He asked kind of quiet.
He lets out a sharp yelp when he trips over a passed out person on the floor. He stumbles forward, managing to keep up right. He slowly looked down at the man on the floor, worried they were upset. When he got a good look at them, they shifted a bit, out cold. Tri sighed a bit in relief and walked off, looking around the room for Laine. “Laine?” He asked a bit louder, phlegm following him.
A lady looks over, she has a darker skin tone and half of her hair shaved off. “Over here.” She said and waved a bit to him, waving him over. Tri walked over and sat down in the empty seat next to her, looking at the package and nothing else. The lady looked at him and tilted her head, “You okay, kid?” Tri nodded and moved the package in front of her. “I was told to bring this to you.” He said, looking at her.
“Good way to test you, Thank you.” Laine said, taking a drink of her beer. Tri nodded a bit confused before he looked back down at the bar, his stomach growling. Although it was more light than before. Laine slid some peanuts in front of him, “Here, eat.” Tri tried to resist a bit but he couldn’t for very long. He took some and ate them. Laine watched as he practically inhaled them, she thought for a second and slid a beer in front of him, “Try this.” Tri looked at it for a moment. “Who’s is it?” He asked her. She pointed to the man he had stepped on earlier. “Are you sure I can have it?” He asked. “Yeah, he’s out cold and he’ll just think he finished it in the daze.”
Tri put his hands around them mug, slowly lifting it up and takes a breath before he drinks some. His eyes widen at the strong taste of the beer, he swallowed the mouthful and shudders. “You’ve never had any have you?” Laine asked him with a chuckle. He nodded a bit and she laughed, patting him on the back heavily.
Tri grumbled and looked at the beer, his eyes going in and out of focus. He shook his head and took a breath, taking another bitter sip of it. He looks over at Liane, tilting his head, all he could see was a blur.
“I hud get oin.” he said and stood up and wobbled a bit. He turned and started to take a step. But as he tried to walk his legs turned to rubber, collapsing onto the ground. Laine stared down at him for a second. She picked him up by the scruff of his neck, laying him over the xaraan gently.
“You should take him home.” She said. Phlegm nodded and hacked a bit before walking out with Tristitia on his back. He hacks a bit more, walking down the road, not knowing where Tri lives. “Tri!” Yelled tri’s bookie’s daughter. Phlegm looks over and tilted his head. The girl ran over and smiled up at him, her father following her. “Come on boy, let’s get him home.” he said and pats Phlegm’s head lightly.
The bookie led the xaraan who was carrying Tri back to his shed where Tri lives. When the arrived at the door the bookie opened the door and let them walk into the shed. Phlegm walks over to the makeshift bed that Tri made and laid down, not moving him before he did.
The bookie sighed and closed the door, walking off.The daughter giggles and followed him into the house.
Tri snuggles into the xaraan and yawned loudly, very out of it now. “You’re the best birdy ever.” He mumbled drunkenly, nuzzles close. Phlegm let out a bit of a sigh before and laid his head down, falling asleep. His body heat keeps tri warm threw out the long cold night in the desert.
Early in the morning tri groaned and rolled off the xaraan and onto the sandy floor of the shed. He whimpers and holds his head tightly, head pounding. Tri rolls onto his front, crawling over to the barrel where he keeps his food. He prys open the lid and pulls out some fruit, eating it weakly. He looks over at the door, and looks at the light dancing across the sand the comes thru the cracks in the door.

Growth Solo

(( He was given his first job in which he would get paid in food instead of money given his gambling habits. He didn’t want to ruin this chance that he got just for some money that was on a drunk guy. Despite all the temptations and distractions he ignored them and got the man to the destination that he was told to take him to.))

Tristitia stood just outside of the Janarim’s skull, taking a deep breath and looking down. “That was only a bit stressful.” he shook his head and started to walk forward a bit. “So, all I have to do is pick up a ‘package’ and bring it to Hestian, simple enough.” He mumbled as he walked. He glances around at his surroundings just to come face to face with one of the people that he had seen in the bar, he never caught his name, all he knew was that the man was very drunk and wobbly. Tri also could tell that it was this was the drunken moron he was supposed to find and bring to a meeting he was late for.

“What are you doin’, Kid?” The man asked, trying his best to stumble toward him. Tri sighed and shook his head a bit as he walked over to the man and took the man’s arm, putting it around his shoulder. The man hiccuped and looked at him, confused about what the kid is doing now. “What are you-” He started.

“I’m helping you because you clearly can’t make it to where you’re going on your own like this.” Tri said, making sure not to let go of the man as he would most certainly fall over. The man sighed and just allowed this to happen. As tri dragged the drunken old man down the road the man looked up at him.

“Are you that guy that got stepped on by Bushi’s daughter?” He asked, chuckling. Tri grumbled and huffed. Tri nodded after a moment. The man chuckled loudly and grinned, “That’s hilarious!” Tri took a deep breath and let go of the man. As he suspected the man fell over instantly, as he is very intoxicated. The man mumbled and rolled onto his back, trying to get back onto his feet and failing at every attempt.

Tri groaned and grabbed the man’s arm and pulled him back up with all of his strength so that they were both standing again. Wobbly for both of them but up right. Tri’s stomach growled loudly and the guy chuckled drunkenly. Tri rolled his eyes and dragged him along with him and groaned and the man stumbled along with him. “Where are we going?” The man asked him, hiccuping.

“I was told to deliver you to a meeting that you were meant to be at a while ago, you drunken old man.” Tri said as he started to drag him down the road towards the meeting place. The man groaned and sighed. “I’m not drunk… drunk enough to go to that.” He grumbled and looked around as they went down an alley.

Tristitia looked down at the man “Which way to the meeting place?” He asked, hoping that he was gonna get a correct, or even coherent, answer. The man did his best to think of where the place was. Soon he looked up and pointed forward.

“It’s that way, I do believe.” The man said and hiccuped a bit, quickly covering his mouth to keep himself from throwing up. Tri sat him down for a bit of a rest

A long while later Tri sighed and looked around, holding the guy’s arm around his neck to keep him up right. “Are you sure it’s this way? We’ve been going this way for a while.” Tri asked and looked down at the man. The man looked up and him, his eyes widening before he pulled away from Tri and ran over to something. He soon vomited profusely, groaning and whining. Tri rubs his back and gently held his hair so it wouldn’t get in the way. He glanced down at his wallet that he could very easily swipe from him. Oh the things he could and would do with that money. He could take it and try and get some winnings at the races, maybe pay back his bookie some, Or he could buy himself some food. The latter was the more unlikely of the two options that he could choose. Tri shook his head and shook his mind out of the day dreaming, “No, I need this job…” He mumbled to himself and rubbed the drunken man’s back.

“W-what?” He asks and turns his head a bit. Tri shook his head and turns his head back to the trash bin. “It’s nothing sir, nothing.” He said and looks around. He paused a moment as he patted the guys back. “Was the place the green ish wearhouse with the broken windows?” He asked, staring right at the building. The man nodded and groaned and coughed. Tri sighed and looked down the other way, he cough the edge of the sign of the Janarim skull. He went silent for a moment. “We’ve been walking in circles for hours and it was right there!?” He yelled, groaning.

The guy lifted his head a bit and laughed, “I guess it was right there, oops.” He said, looking up at Tri. “Sorry for leading you around like that, Kid.” He said, rubbing the back of his head lightly. Tri shook his head after a moment of thinking. “No, it’s alright.” He said, “You are extremely drunk at the moment.” He added.

The man laughed a bit and dragged himself up, quite wobbly. Tri sighed and gently took the guy’s arm again and helped him stand as he was still too drunk to stay up on his own. “You’re gonna make it through this meeting and afterwards you can go back to the bar and drink away your liver. Sound good?” He asked him.

The man chuckled and nodded, “That sounds like a great plan kid.” He said to Tri, looking about for a moment, then said, “Tell my wife that it’s a great plan too, okay?”

Tri looked at him for a moment, “I would rather not tell your wife that I encourage you to drink more. Although I might tell her that someone else told you to.” He said with a nervous chuckle, hoping that he didn’t just make a very bad mistake from telling him to go and drink more at the bar.

Tri chuckled, “My name is Tristitia.” He said to the man. The man nodded and replied with, “My name is Arcembi.” He chuckled and seemed to be getting better from vomiting up a lot of the alcohol.

As tri and Arcembi made their way over to the warehouse the sleepy guard outside the front door sat up and looked at them. They quickly stood up to get a closer look at Tri and Arcembi. “I’m amazed you actually brought him, most people just leave him somewhere for him to find his way back to the bar.” The guard said, “Damn, I lost that bet.” The man mumbled and sighed. He opened the door for Arcembi. “You can go on in, Sir.” He said. He looked at Tri. “Again, thank you for bringing him here, no one else saw the point in doing it. It was a big help.” He said and walked inside after Arcembi.

The guard poked his head out of the door. “You can run back and get your pay from Laine.” He said before he moved back inside and closed the door.
