Her face turned worrisome at the mention of Misha’s dress. She wondered what would constitute “horrifying” in Beth’s world. If it had just been a bad dress, that would be one thing, but horrifying? Goodness, what had Misha worn? The gift, however, was gorgeous – and perfect for Beth. “Very nice!” Sylvia realized, probably belatedly, that Beth had given her a gift aligned with Aphrodite, and Misha’s gift for Beth reflected Hera as well… She honestly hadn’t even thought of giving thematic gifts when she had been looking, but it seemed obvious now. Oh, well – too late. Hopefully she’d done alright without referencing their patrons.
Sylvia grinned, “That is! What timing,” she laughed and settled back. “Well, I’m not sure when I’ll bring mine over to him, but I’ll give him plenty of space to enjoy whatever you bring him first.” Not that it wasn’t fun to get showered with gifts, but it was nice when each gift could be enjoyed individually for a time. Sylvia certainly wouldn’t want to step on Beth’s toes by tagging along now or following too closely after. Still, she shrugged her shoulders up in excitement, “I hope he likes what you’ve found for him!” Beth seemed to be an enthusiastic shopper, at least, and Sylvia appreciated her thoughtfulness. She was sure Brian would appreciate whatever Beth had in store.
