After their months together she had begun to piece together that he had difficulty reading, but didn't want to address him on it yet. If he had wanted help she would hope he would know she'd gladly help him. When he smiled at her, her smile brightened. She truly did love him, as he looked away though she gently reached out and touched his hand squeezing once in support to him but what would've looked like affection to her father. At his next words she set the books down and straightened herself. She was curious if her father would pitch her dear departed younger brothers name. But instead he declined the offer. She frowned slightly at it but quickly regained her composure. Her father then posed a question that did seem relevant and serious. What if she gave birth to a daughter instead of a son? Would he still love her? Would he still love them both? He already had plenty of daughters, but not nearly enough sons to balance things out.
Rascal sensed the change in emotion from Ambrosia and whined softly before poking her belly with his cold nose making her jump and laugh. She pet his fur gently and remembering her ginger tea began to drink it.
Soon after a maid came in with tea and her father mentioned sending an Allistair to untravelled lands for herbs. Her eyes lit up. "OH! That sounds wonderful!!! I'd love to study them and possibly learn their medicinal qualities. They could help quite a lot of people. But he must be careful. Some may actually be poisonous and in dangerous areas." she said her face getting real serious for the last of it. "I would hate for him to get hurt just for research. I'd go myself but I am not in any condition for that type of exploring...not yet. Besides I do not believe my husband is ready yet to let me out of his sight." she said joking a little as she held his hand once more. ✰═━┈ 𝚃𝔥𝔢𝔯𝔢'𝔰 𝔞𝔩𝔴𝔞𝔶𝔰 𝔞 𝙻𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱 𝔦𝔫 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝙳𝔞𝔯𝔨𝔫𝔢𝔰𝔰...𝙸𝔱'𝔰 𝔪𝔶 𝔧𝔬𝔟 𝔱𝔬 𝙶𝔲𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔶𝔬𝔲 𝔱𝔥𝔯𝔬𝔲𝔤𝔥┈━═✰

Hysteria Izadora Bellris Hair Pulled BackClothing: DefensiveMood: Grumpy Hysteria stepped down from the blazing phoenix that carried her to the Mayors estate, her first foot upon the cold ground was heavy. She looked around the outside of the estate and tried to remember having been here before but she could not. She had not brought any weapons which either proved testimony to her foolishness or to her trust of the man she was about to meet with, however she wore a metal and leather dress that proved that she didn't trust the land she was in fully. The middle of the dress was made of a leather corset while the skirt portion was made of loose chainmail, some of the same across her chest to protect her chest, scalemail down her arms, and spikes protecting her neck. The front of her dress was fairly open in a small strip down the center of her torso as if luring people to a false possibility that if they could pierce the exposed skin down to her navel that they would kill her, but if they were smart they would know that that small strip of exposed flesh was always guarded by her mind and that she would expect one to try to take the easy way out. She looked at the estate and moved forward, her blonde hair bound back so that not a strand danced in her vision. She then walked up to the doors and knocked.

the work of the righteous is never done Joachim Alexei the door opened to reveal a young man who was wearing dark glassed goggles. He audaciously looked her over and shook his head. " the old man told me to expect someone. Didnt think it would be such a fine specimen of the female persuasion." His smile tried to come of confident. Tho a loud thump took his attention. " im sorry lady. I should take you to the old man right now " He opened the door for the lady and began to lead her into the house. As she entered there would be a lot of noice in the house. Parts of the walls where broken down revealing the skeleton of the house. Metal pipes where being placed. Everywhere their where tools and people talking fighting over blue prints. Many like the boy had the symbol of blackstone on there uniforms. " it is almost time for tea i think today is chamomile." the young boy spoke as he opened the door to the back yard. He is in the pagoda."
The back yard was being tended by mostly girls under his employ. Upon seeing the door. Open they shooed aeay the boy and guided the lady further in. The garden was mostly herbs and plants that had medicinal purposes. Tho the workers had managed to make that still appear pleasing to the eye. There was a path made of stones that lead to a Pogoda with purple silk curtains serving as the decoration. Seated in the pogoda inspecting some blue paper and seemingly looking puzzled was the mayor of etherland.
He still wore the same outfit he always wore. He would let out a curse every once in a while mostly at things he did not get.
" sir your guest."
He lifted his eyes and a warm gaze met hysterias. " lady hystoria. Why don't you have a seat?" the smile he gave betrayed no bad motives. i think we have a lot to discuss. And not much time to prepare for the coming war."

Hysteria Izadora Bellris Hair Pulled BackClothing: DefensiveMood: Alright Hysteria looked over at Joachim and she sat down, a small smile on her face "I guess we're dispensing with the pleasantries today then" she said with a soft sigh before looking over to a servant "Water" she ordered before looking over at Joachim "Though I'd say you should have to Bellris some time to visit your niece and nephew" she said before folding her hands together "As far as I'm aware Joachim, the war hasn't been spread to Ethe, unless their is something you know that I don't?" she asked him.

the work of the righteous is never done Joachim Alexie
He smiled and rolled up the paper in his hands putting it back in its. Clear tube. " the only reason we where able to be independent on that last war was thanks to the king. He was an admirable ruler. I had faith in his wife, but after securing help from the empire. Im sad to say she seemed to have gone down a dark mental path."
As he spoke two pitchers where brought forth one with water and the other chamomile tea. Along with the tea came some freshly made cucumber sandwiches. Two white cups contaning cream and suggar where also placed near the. Tea.
" as my worries began to increass she made yokumi her voice. That made me proud. But as the year passed and no word or site if the queen was heard i began to not trust the youngsters leading ethe. But i abhored politics. then the goddess died. Honestly i have my ideas as to what happened. But needles to say ethe is not in a position where it can be neutral. And this time it should not."
He took a sip of his tea, and looked at the garden.
"my daughter is likely to die alongside her husband. I dont know if i can survive that. My only allegience is to etherland."
He brought out a document and handed it to his sister people underestimate the power of a learned population. You don't. We have learned how to get energy from the very liquid fores that took so much from us. Right now i am having a lot of work done to my house as an experiment. Once we have more stable work. I want to send you. Students so that the technological progress can go smoother."
The document he gave her was a thessis written not to long ago maybe a month ago. It was filled with maths and exited ramblings of a young person writting feverently. Towards the end there where detailed pictures of a machine that used steam to turn what was labeled a turbine.
" i dont trust to many people anymore. But if i have to leave a world behind. I want it to be better. Lady hysteria would you work together with mh school to help bring about innovation tgat will shake the world?"

Hysteria Izadora Bellris Hair Pulled BackClothing: DefensiveMood: Alright Hysteria took a deep breath and sighed slightly, putting a few fingers to her temple before slowly looking back up at Joachim "you bring up very important things" she said to him and she stood up, looking around the garden slowly as she walked down the steps of the pagoda "Firstly something you didn't bring up. You're body is old and it is cold out here. You should be inside." /b]
she said and she turned around to look at him "I will get to the rest of your concerns later, but I'll address your desire to have me help with the school. It is likely that I will be forced to say no, not of out disinterest or a frozen desire to see nothing change, but simply because Bellris is going into a war, we have no resources to spare toward furthering education other then what we have been doing for Bellris, once the cold finally ends we will have to sew our fields again because the wind that dropped from the sky tore up more then half of them, we have to rebuild several villages, and replace several grain towers." Hysteria told him "Bellris being bellris, we will manage to survive the winter and quite far beyond that, but we cant stretch our resources much farther" she said crossly, it was evident however that she was curious about this new technology, but she would let it slide now, ignoring what can not be, lets address that one thing you brought up" she frowned "How are you so certain that the goddess of yours is dead?" she asked.

the work of the righteous is never done Joachim Alexie joachim could not help but let a small bout of laughter escape his lips. he looked down at his tea. " i will not argue, but some fresh air is necessary " he ate one of the sandwiches and walked towards his manor. the tube in his hand as he talked. " the main thing that let me know something was wrong was the removal of the fire wall." as he continued he begun to speak in the bellrissian tongue " that wall could have been the cause of some bad thing in the future, i think it might have been related to the death of all animals in ethe and the sickness that kept others away. for this to just vanish implies either a lifting or a destruction of the wall." he opened a door that lead down into the cellar of the castle, from the lack of noise comming from there it was clear that it was to keep there conversation private. as he opened the door warm air escaped the cellar. he walked inside leaving the door open to allow some of the cool air to enter the cellar. " then there is the ethernal flame. i am older then it. i remember when it sprouted into existence. it came on the day that the goddess of fire agni was discovered, and on the day that she escaped her confinement, when she came to our world the fire became and even more important place, it was where many came to speak to her. the fires had an extra life in them with her around. "
as they walked deeper only the light of the stones lit there way. a mechanical sound could be heard coming from deeper in the cellars. and they had already passed a few doors that revealed this was truly an old dungeon made into a library. " on the day the wall fell, the fire died. the goddess left this realm. i told my people that it ws most likely she left out of a sense of having protected us enough and that we where strong enough to not need her protection anymore.
but the truth is, she was like a mother. she would never just abandon what she was protection so firecely in an instant. not without ample warning. and she never met the queen. something that always made me wonder why youkimi never took her. i told her to...
that same day the walls fell rumors began to spread trough the royal abode not to far from here. the count and the baroness had returned to the castle and the count needed a lot of healing, some say a surgeon was called, but that day he got hurt after having met the godess with the baroness and resting in the ashlands a fight ensued.
that same night many laterns where released unto the sky. "
he stopped in front of a giant metal door way. the heat was coming much stronger from inside. the sounds of gears moving gears was easily heard. now.
" i am not one for believing rumors. but i cant say that this does not strike me as to many coincidences. i do not know the reason, but i am sure the count killed what we believed was a goddess. i am old. i have lived through to long to not listen to my gut every once in a while."
he opened the doors. they swung easily a blast of heat once more would hit them. in front of them was the machine that was drawn in the documents. there many pipes leading from the machine up and down. the room itself was larger then the machine and seemed to have been recently excavated. now that the door was opened the sounds of rocks being excavated could be heard, but it was not from a pick ax. there where may students and teachers working on different things on different tables all of them connected to the giant turbine. the lights in here where much brighter then the lights from the stones, or from fire. the lights where coming from this elongated tubes that seemed to have something bouncing of inside of them. in one of the table there people working on the tubes,
" the same gut instinct that told me i should focus on what that paper described. i know you don't have the time to focus on this with war coming." he smiled at his sister. " but i can assure you this, whether or not ethe decides to do what is right. etherland will support.

Evelyn Lionis════ Female // 21 ════ Holder of the Bronzewell Estates General of the Bellris troop Legitimate ruler of the Empire When the carriage would pull to a stop hours later in front of the Mayors estate Evelyn would hop down and go to the door and open the carriage door for the Empress, Evelyn's hair had become windswept and her hands ached from holding the reins. She looked inside the carriage at the Empress and coughed slightly "we're here" she said, holding a hand out for her to take. ════ Love // Honor // Justice // Revenge I will see the ones that I love smile down upon me But I will not stain my honor with the blood of their killers For Justice will make it so your enemies fall from up high And Revenge will only make you the murder that stood behind them.

the work of the righteous is never done Joachim Alexiethe papers hit his desk and he frowned. the past day had been rather tasking for booth him and his guests, the students that rather study law, like those that decided to be tax collector had a long path of hate ahead of them, yet they were truly necessary for the society that he was working towards. He did not know how he would get the others to agree to this. in truth he barely heard of things from them.
before he could let himself sink further into his thoughts a knock on the door made him look up. he saw a flushed face maid his frowned deepened
a few minute later he was greeted by the cold air. he let the cold air sting his lungs, the pain of being alive once more fanning the flames that had been awoken in him over a year ago. yet what he saw when the carriage stopped in front of his estate took his breath away.
Evelyn hopped down and opened the door to the carriage he could not yet see who was in the carriage, but to see the true heir of the land was a good feeling for the old man. she did not seem battle mad as he had feared she might become. he was of no great political worth to assassinate. not unless she knew of the plans he had been working on in secret. his frown slowly vanished and became a smile.
this was a welcome respite from his gloomy thinking. it was good to not be so embroiled in Etherland that all he saw was its potential fall. The pride of good work always seems less

This was so hard, but as a mother she must protect her children. As the Empress she must protect her legacy so that maybe her children and herself may find a way to save the kingdoms from ruin. She made sure her appearance was ok, before gathering her children and once again putting some of her bags around Rascal's neck. The giant wolf leaning against her supportingly. He looked up at her and she nodded telling him to leave first. He hopped out with the grace of the predator that he was, only landing a little wobbly due to the extra weight around his front. Ambrosia took a deep breath and after tucking Elric back into his makeshift sling around her chest, she lifted a sleeping Eliana into her arms. She gratefully accepted Evelyn's hand as she took the two steps down to the ground.
"Thank you. Although there is no longer a need to be so formal. I am but the mayors daughter now. If only for a little while, so to protect my children. Thank you for your risking yourself to help protect them." Her eyes shone bright with her thanks and her worry. She took a moment to steady her gaze before urning to look at her father. He looked rather ragged compared to his usual appearance of grace and cleanliness. His hair seemed disheveled like he had thrown himself into his work once again. Just seeing her father made her eyes sting with more tears. She fought them and raised her chin trying to feign strength like her mother had taught her, "Let them see you cry if it can't be helped, but show them the strength behind your tears.." The smallest of smirks quirked at the corner of her mouth, revealing her worry. "Hi daddy....It's seems that we may be in danger. May we seek safety in my father's care once more?"
Rascal hadn't waited for an answer he had climbed the steps and dropped off the first bags and had hopped back in the carriage to grab the last two with his strong jaws and once more deposited them on the steps near Ambrosia's father. The wolf then sat down next the Mayor. Just close enough to ever so lightly nudge him, and looked up at him his wolf tongue lulling out ever so slightly out of his mouth as he grinned up at the mayor. He knew he was home. ✰═━┈ 𝚃𝔥𝔢𝔯𝔢'𝔰 𝔞𝔩𝔴𝔞𝔶𝔰 𝔞 𝙻𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱 𝔦𝔫 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝙳𝔞𝔯𝔨𝔫𝔢𝔰𝔰...𝙸𝔱'𝔰 𝔪𝔶 𝔧𝔬𝔟 𝔱𝔬 𝙶𝔲𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔶𝔬𝔲 𝔱𝔥𝔯𝔬𝔲𝔤𝔥┈━═✰

She had forgotten how old he was and a small smile came to her face "Joachim" she said, nodding her head slightly "I know you didn't ask me to do this but I thought I would make sure she was safe before anything more happened" she said to him "Consider this repayment for looking after my son when I could not. As a parent myself I doubt you would want to loose a child in this war" she said and then looked over at Ambrosia. "You are to kind " she said simply "how you could still love the Emperor after everything he has done confuses me beyond sense" she said crossly "he has done horrible things that I doubt you're even aware of, however..." she looked Ambrosia up and down, making note of her two young children "I will give him a trial instead of immediate execution but I doubt he will get anything less then the Khell" she said before looking back at the Mayor "you have been well?" she asked in a clipped tone. ════ Love // Honor // Justice // Revenge I will see the ones that I love smile down upon me But I will not stain my honor with the blood of their killers For Justice will make it so your enemies fall from up high And Revenge will only make you the murder that stood behind them.

the work of the righteous is never done Joachim Alexie His hand ran through the fur of Rascal, it took a full few seconds after Evelyn spoke for him to smile, but even less for him to break into laughter for a few seconds. thee look in booth their eyes told him how he looked, he needed to stop focusing on his work. " you are right Evelyn. I am very much glad to hear that you are thinking of such a fair matter." he wiped a tear from his eyes. steam left the chimney at just that moment and the light in the house flashed to life one of his maids came in and grabbed the bag moving them inside to the empress room. " I invite both of you in for dinner. it is too cold to be standing out here." he moved inside towards the warmth of his home. He smiled internally. the empire might be in good arms. Swishing his tail back and forth just out of Elric's reach and across his nose, and allowing Eliana to climb all over him as he lay on the floor. With a sigh she looked once more at her latest journal. It was full of he works with the herbs her husband had imported from all over for her. Herbs that were going unattended at the castle...A sadness swept over her and she found herself shedding tears as she clutched the journal to her. She allowed herself a few moments for tears then hastily wiped her face clean. Now was not the time for tears despite the sinking feeling in her stomach. She needed to be strong for her children and her kingdom that was at war while she was..While she was what? Hiding? What a sore excuse for an empress her people must think of her... ✰═━┈ 𝚃𝔥𝔢𝔯𝔢'𝔰 𝔞𝔩𝔴𝔞𝔶𝔰 𝔞 𝙻𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱 𝔦𝔫 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝙳𝔞𝔯𝔨𝔫𝔢𝔰𝔰...𝙸𝔱'𝔰 𝔪𝔶 𝔧𝔬𝔟 𝔱𝔬 𝙶𝔲𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔶𝔬𝔲 𝔱𝔥𝔯𝔬𝔲𝔤𝔥┈━═✰
