Samir gave her a quick clap on the shoulder and laughed. "Ruin a dagger? Ruin a dagger? My dear, this is a forge of possibilities. Nothing ever gets ruined. Come on, let's get on some protective gear," he said, gesturing to the supplies he had pulled out.

"And if you make a mistake, I'll fix it while you aren't looking," he promised, winking as he slid on a pair of goggles and began to pull on his gloves.

He couldn't help but steal another glance at the necklace--and how beautiful Aubrey was wearing it. He wanted to treasure the expression on her face.

Even if she did mess up a dagger, he would remember tonight for her smile alone.
