Voscil stopped what she was doing as he complimented her company. The expression the girl wore was almost soft as she laughed just a little. "Stop that...I'll think you like-like me or something." Her expression said it all. She knew he did. Her sweet yellowblood might have been childish at times, but if that had ever been a problem for the energetic yellowblood it didn't show.
These mooncakes got a little extra dough added, and filling considering he was going overboard on all of them. She added a little something extra when he wasn't looking. A heart and pink shaped symbol with a ? on it. If anyone was watching the disguised moirails, at least it was easy to see they were young and deciding how they felt. Vos thought she was pretty clever for doing that.
Noticing his bangs kept falling in his face, she raised a brow thoughtfully. "It has gotten pretty long...it looks good but it's in that weird stage." She reached up then, slightly on her tip toes to slick her hand through his bangs to rustle them out of his face for him. "I bet if ya give it a bit more you'll be able to pull it up again?" She mused. "I could always trim it for you..it's cute on you." She looked thoughtful, as if she was imagining what he'd look like either way.
"Yeah I did with Faithe earlier." She'd needed to get cleaned up before their little date. She'd been covered in mud head to toe practically. Which was fine, it just wasn't a good accessory to a date she figured. "It was a lot of fun! I got extra muddy on purpose in your honor." The girl explained, recalling he really was a troll who liked getting down and dirty. It was fun to him, which she could sympathize with.
Vos fussed with her batch of cakes for a moment as she went quite.
"Oh. Hey...Thanks..for inviting me." The girl mumbled a little, looking at him with a curious expression. Something lame like 'you're great' sounded childish. So she settled for gratitude before flashing him a winning smile.

"You tellin' me palemates can't be affectionate? Oi, then what's the point?" he asked with a wink. Reemus was trying very very hard to behave. Key word being try. Could they maybe have their aliases switch quadrants...? It's not like the government knew the relationship of the real them, right? He'd ask about it later, maybe. Wasn't there something he wanted to tell Vos, too? Hrm.
He looked away after that, missing the extra bit she was adding, and he smiled at his work when she responded about his hair. "Well if ya think it's cute, maybe I'll keep it." She was right about one thing: he could eventually tie it up again. Eventually. Reemus did have hair ties that he hadn't needed for a bit, but couldn't get himself to throw them out. But he was like that about a lot of things.
"Awwww, ya didn't have to get so dirty to make up for me not doin' that kinda stuff." And he wasn't sure if Toothy would appreciate it? Character stuff was hard. But if Miache hated it, Toothy probably should. That's what bluebloods did, right? "I'm glad ya could get cleaned up. It'd be weird if they let ya get all gross then made ya be that way the rest of the night." ...And he would be super jealous.
The cakes were coming along, soon rolled and filled and just needing stamps. He was actually a little tired from it all. And, in time, their old cakes would be done and able to be eaten while they waited to put the next batch in.
Reemus paused mid forehead wipe while Voscil spoke up again. His face went warm. "O-of course, love. There's no one else I'd wanna go here with, y'know?" He let his arm drop, and he nudged her. He could melt at that smile of hers.
"O-ope, I should get the cakes befor they burn, eh?" As Reemus went to do that, he paused just to slip a close, quiet, "I love you" in Voscil's spongeclot.
It left him a bit flustered. Enough so to nearly drop the cake pan. He saved it, though, and put it on the counter in front of them. "Looks good!" Reemus took the test cakes off and put the new cakes on it for another go.
Soon they would be done, box up the cakes, and continue on with the date. There were still more stalls to check out. Lanterns, crops, soup... What a nice night, indeed.
