Gift giving sounded fun!

Swallows wasn't even aware of the buck as he stood in the line, gently nudged along by the one behind him as he waited; he'd simply heard that some kin were exchanging gifts for tokens - which seemed to be a thing everyone wanted! - so he'd joined in as well. His gift wasn't very impressive looking, just a strange, slightly bedraggled bud of a flower that grew in the cold season, but to him it was lovely. It had a delightful scent, and he was quite pleased with himself when he gave it over, especially after waiting so long!

Seeing the doe made Quest smile and so to bring more light into her life she didn't mind waiting in a line. She'd bring a bright blue feather, vibrant in color but aged and frayed at the ends. It held special meaning, because she'd received it the day she'd been searching for an end to a mystery, only to find a beautiful blue bird at the end of her hunt.

Wax and Wane were thrilled to see a pair of twins running a booth, and collecting pretties no less. They talked about what gift to offer, and finally settled on a pair of matched charms for the two, not having planned to set up a booth they had very little of their supplies. No matter, they spent the morning gathering feathers and bones and pretty stones, and a turtle shell to steep them in. Sadly no salamanders were to be had, but sun steeping never failed them before, so they filled the shell, and put the items in with an assortment or herbs and berries.

After a while they removed the bones and stones, the feathers not having been put in, and set to work assembling the charms. Their years of skill and patience giving them a slight advantage, along with working together to twine feathers and fibrous leaves around and between the glimmering rocks and long bones of some creatures legs. The finished products would not by advantegny means hold up to vigorous use, but it would do nicely to sit somewhere an look pretty.

Gently they pick up their offerings, and get in line to speak to the female twin, figuring they'd have a better chance to be heard out by her. Finally they approach her, and carefully set down the charms they made. "A pair of beautiful charms.." "..for a pair a lovely twins." most find their way of talking to be unsettling, but surely as a twin this other doe will get it.

"They will bring.." "..fortune to you both." they explain, as they collect a token. Smiling they turn and head off, steps in near perfect unison.

"Mmm, what a line." Morning Thaw wasn't complaining, though. She waited patiently and offered her gift up - a bundle of fine sticks wrapped in twine. They were good for many uses, but lying them down on the cold ground was particularly good. It kept you from getting too wet from the snow! Smiling politely, she took the token offered, "I'll be back tomorrow!"

Unbearable Truth is determined to impress this buck. She has a sad personal will to please everybody... So she attempts again, this time with a beautiful branch she found with twists and no bark on it. It was picked completely clean and was thick and sturdy. He manages to get an eyeful while he actually regards it for a second, then turns up his nose. She tips her head, and then sniffs it carefully, and then can't help but actually be kind of relieved. She looks left and right and then nonchalantly picks it back up... she wanted this thing pretty bad, to be honest. >.> No harm on this one, haha.

Smash and Mash couldn't actually see what the line was for, but if so very many kin were in it, it must be for something good, right? She snacked on a bundle of dried berries as she waited. When she got to the front she saw a massive pile of... stuff. And a very happy doe. She watched as a few kin gave over some trinkets- nothing big, but still. They were giving her things. And she'd already waited in this line... Thinking quickly, she gulped down the rest of the berries. "This is a fine pouch!" she said, presenting her gift to the doe. "It can hold things. Like berries." She paused, wondering what else to say. "We got a lemur to make it."

That was impressive, right?

Ghost is weary as she approaches, simply setting down a black and blue mushroom. She didn't expect him to like it, or even care, but somehow.... it worked? Ghost was rather surprised as a rock was slide her way. Hurray!
