Flynn walked past with Thunder. He was rather dreading the day's events. His children were supposed to get here soon, and he knew Raikou loved to spend time with his uncle Jarret. Flynn regretted the day he introduce Raikou and Melody to him.
He looked over at Thunder. "Excited to see your son again?" he asked.

Thunder nodded happily. "Of course I am!" he replied, "He's so shy, I want him to get out more. I really think meeting some new people will do him good."
He swished his tail. "And if he gets over whelmed, I'll be with him the whole time!"

Guests stared to arrive, and Thunder's ears perked in excitement as he looked through the crowd. Where was his tiny son? There he was!
Thunder quickly raced over to where Bounce was pressing himself against a wall, trying not to be in anyone's way.
"Bounce! You made it!" Thunder exclaimed, licking the top of his son's head, "It's so good to see you again."
"It's good to see you again too, father," Bounce said in his tiny voice, "Mother thought it would be good for me to come see you."

Weston was floating down to the entrance hall with Melody to greet their kids. He didn't expect them to be as excited as they were when the four saw him.
"There they are!" Cyril, the oldest exclaimed. He and his siblings rushed at Weston, tackling him to the ground. Because they were a bit older now, they almost completely buried him.

Harmony looked around and saw Brooke near where Bounce and Thunder were, also trying not to be in the way. She smiled and pushed her way over to her.
"Brooke! I'm so happy to see you again!" she cried in excitement.
"I'm glad to see you too, mom," Brooke replied. "I've always wanted to come up to Skylands! This place is so cool!" She looked around. "Where's Finch?" she wondered.
"Oh he's around here somewhere," Harmony replied, waving a dismissive hand. "Come on! I want to introduce you some people!"

Robin looked around at the crowd. She was also hoping to see her kids, but they were so young, she and Raven wouldn't be able see them through the crowd of people.
"Do you see them, yet?" she asked, turning to her mate.

Raven cast his eyes over the crowd and was about to reply to Robin that he couldn't see them yet, when there was a high pitched screech from the edge of the crowd.
"DADDY!" came the cry from two tiny fishgirls. Before Raven could react, Jay and Song tackled him to the ground in their excitement.

Cardinal casually strode over to the two, ignoring Raven on the ground. "Good morning, Robin," he greeted, "I see your children have made it. And is that your father I see coming this way?"

Robin looked down at her children with a loving smile when Cardinal came up to her. She looked up in shock at him.
"Cardinal, you invited my father?!?" she gasped. "Why would you do something like that?" Her two girls were climbing all over their father in excitement as she spoke, giving Rave absolutely no air.

Cardinal gave her an innocent frown. "I'm sorry, Robin," he said, "I just thought that you might like to see your father again! And I'm sure he would love to see how you and his grandchildren are doing."
He bowed his head in convincing pretend shame. "I didn't realize it would upset you," he lied.

Robin sighed at Cardinal's patheticness.
"Sorry, Cardinal," she told him. "I'm happy to see my father again, but he hasn't exactly warmed up to Raven yet. I don't know if he ever will. This hasn't been the easiest for either of us." She looked over his shoulder and managed to muster up a smile. "Daddy!" she cried, opening her arms out wide and rushing over to Crow.

Crow slowly hobbled through the crowd, knocking people over who were in his way. He brightened a little when he saw Robin.
"There's my beautiful daughter!" he wheezed, "Come give your father a hug! And where are my adorable granddaughters?"

Robin ran into her father's arms in a tight hug. At the sound of his voice, Song stopped crawling over Raven and looked over to where Crow and Robin were standing.
"Jay, look!" she cried excitedly. "It's grandpa!" She leaped off of Raven, taking Jay's hand and rushed over to greet Crow.

Raven, now free from his burden slowly climbed to his feet and shuffled over to where the others were standing, completely out of breath. He leaned with one hand on the wall nearby as he tried to regain his breath.
"Thank you!" he gasped to Crow. He loved his children dearly, but they were a handful when they hadn't seen him in a while.
