6/20 HP Damage done: 0 Zindel was in pain and it was his fault. Not playful nicks and bruises but actual gushing traumatizing pain. Cerpin pulled the other guy into his arms and tried to keep the redblood comfortable. As much as one could be in this situation anyways. Zindel's pleas were like dark prayers and the purpleblood could honestly admit that they scared him. He couldn't imagine ever asking for such a thing. Experiencing a virtual death like this seemed terrifying to him.
"Hang in there. It's okay. Shhhhh." He cooed, stroking the soft curls in an attempt to soothe the other boy through his panic attack. "It's gonna be alright. The game'll end and you'll be in one piece." Physically anyways. With how Zindel was acting, Cerpin wasn't too sure how mentally or emotionally okay the guy would be. Ugh, he felt terrible.
"Breathe in through your nose. Out through your mouth. Slowly." Unfortunately, Cerpin was not a stranger to anxiety attacks. Not because he had them but he'd seen Tevini's share of near meltdowns due to living together. It wasn't like she fell to pieces every other day or anything but it seemed to be a frequent battle for the lowbloods that dealt with the weight of the rest of the spectrum on their shoulders. He rubbed at Zindel's back and sat with him, trying to calm the other's breathing.

His arms were tight around him, blood falling down Zindel's cheek as he was pulled into his arms, the pressure on his stomach becoming unbearable as he felt disconnected with his own body. He could feel his eyes tear up-- He wasn't used to this, he just wanted to get out of here and be able to breathe again. It was hard to breath, and he was struggling, even through Cerpin's reassurances. He could feel himself going limp, breathing in and out as his pump biscuit hammered in his chest. He felt scared-- It felt like he was actually dying. Struggling to breathe, the redblood tried once more, to die. "S-shiny, p-please, please, kill me," He whispered, calm, but his breath began to pick up once more. "It'd be f-faster, don't-- Don't make me wait for it--" He would rather die in a single swipe than long and drawn out, knowing it was coming but not being able to do anything about it. Reaching a weak, bloody hand toward the sword, it fell to the ground, limp. "P-please..."

6/20 HP Damage done: 3 There was no other choice. Cerpin wordlessly pulled one of the rogue's daggers from the ground. Nothing he could say would change the redblood's situation. With a grim expression on his face, he swiftly brought the blade to the boy's chest and stabbed it through. It was gruesome but the quickest way to end Zindel's suffering for good. The game flashed as Zindel hit 0 HP and it seemed they would be released back into reality shortly.
As soon as he was disconnected, the purpleblood struggled in his pod to stumble outside. He had to find the redblood and check on him. It was more for his own benefit than Zindel (he couldn't blame the dancer if he just wanted to be left alone). Cerpin needed to know he hadn't mentally destroyed someone by forcing them to virtually face their own mortality. Gog, he hadn't known a simple game could have such consequences. Maybe Tevini was right that he needed to start taking things more seriously.
"Oi, oi! Are you okay? Let me help you out." He waiting for Zindel to emerge. Once the redblood was on his feet and stable, Cerpin would back off. It was kinder to give Zindel some time to recover than to force him to kiss him. Even if he'd wanted it so badly.
He was a horrible person.quite uneventful Battle portion over! I figured I'd let you respond before we close the thread or anything. Unless there's something further you wanna play out!

Zindel watched as he finally did what he'd asked, feeling limp and pretty much lying on his hide. He adjusted his position slightly, breathing slowly and avoiding to look at the purpleblood as the dagger sunk in his chest, somehow feeling more pain than before. He fell into darkness limply, the pressure on both his chest and his stomach somehow disappearing.
When he woke up, the thumping sounds of the music brought him back to his senses. The pressure was gone, there was no smell of blood, no purpleblood to watch him die. He laid back on the pod, inhaling and exhaling as he tried to pull himself back together. He could still see it now, the sword in his stomach, the blood on his hands, the ache in his chest. He was sure Chiara would watch it later and laugh at him— Hell, they were to fight right after, and Zindel wasn't sure he had the strength or the will. But he had to hold back his emotions, give the public and Chiara what they wanted. His fans weren't actively excited and/or fangirls of him, but they tended to keep up with any developments. Before the pod doors could open, he wiped away his tears, inhaled, exhaled, and repeated to himself under his breath— "I'm alright. This is fine. I—"
A familiar voice entered his sound nodes as the pod doors opened. Zindel looked at him, stepping out carefully and holding out a hand. He offered him a smile that couldn't quite reach his eyes. "I owe you a kiss." He said with a chuckle, remembering it. "But for now I'll just have your name, Shiny. Thanks for— The last thing. I don't think I would've been able to take it if I'd..." He took a second and inhaled, exhaled, and offered him a small, hesitant smile. "I'm Zindel Tagino. Who're you?"
Normally, Zindel would've run. He would've run away from his problems and never come back, run away from everything that was too much of a strain and cry to himself. But now he had some sort of... Validation that he was worth something more than just a drop of blood on the ground. He had the Queen backing him, even if it was reluctant. He could spare a few moments of sanity to look more mature.
HP: 1 - 3 = 0

The fake smile didn't fool Cerpin. He'd spent enough time around Tevini to recognize a mask when he saw one. But out of respect for Zindel's privacy after the purpleblood had caused some kind of meltdown in the game, he left it alone. He was intrigued by the redblood but not enough to kick him while he was already down at the moment.
"Cerpin Sugall." The playboy cracked a grin back at him. "Drop by anytime to pay up, loser." Plucking a business card out of his beetle pouch, Cerpin tucked it into Zindel's waistband. He thought keeping things light and playful again would be the best way to avoid talking about whatever had just happened in there.
"Free drinks, if you want them. For causing you trouble. If you're ever in Chittentown." Cerpin shrugged. He wouldn't lose much of a profit giving Zindel some free stuff thanks to his beetle farm in the basement. Giving the guy a slap on the a**, he nudged him towards the troll running the booth.
"I think she's waiting. See ya around, Spicy." Before Zindel could respond, the playboy pushed through the crowd to disappear into it. That was more than enough festival for him, tonight.
