But would Naruto have won if Sasuke hadn't fought Gaara first?
How about Sasuke after all the events in the manga (but before teh 2 1/2 years after the split) ... who would win then? Really I can't say, but the fight would be interesting either way...
I think it does depend on when and where you are in the series (episode or manga wise) cause no duh (warning spolier in white) garra did beat Sasuke before he went full demon and then naruto beat the full demon form. But later after Sasuke gets the cursed seal from orochimaru he beats Naruto regular, using demon charaka, AND when kyubi(the fox demon) took over. so it all depends.

I agree with someother people on this, I think it mainly depends on when they fight. I respect Gaara a whole lot more than Sasuke though, for those further ahead in the series than most, you might understand why. Oh and evil never wins, ok evil usually doesn't win^_^

Yes, judging from Sasuke's sad owning earlier in the series by Gaara, I would DEFINITELY say that Gaara would win. Of course.

As far as I saw, the only decent move he got on Gaara was the Chidori, and while it did hit, it also did a minimal amount of damage to Gaara. At least it seemed that way. I believe Gaara would definately win against Sasuke in another fight, but you know I haven't read the manga so....meh.

I don't know, we seen that Gaara's advanced a lot, but we still haven't seen what Sasuke can do yet
