Laurel's face remained perplexed, but gradually relaxed into something similar to acceptance. He still didn't fully understand what any of this meant, even though Zeke had done his best to explain it, but after glancing to Oliver and noticing his smile... Maybe he didn't have to ask anything else and just wait and see. He smiled.
"Huh? There's more?" He exclaimed, his hands flying up to his chest and shaking. "More than home? More than mumbo jumbo?""Yes, you have an entire world to learn about!" Oliver chimed, his grin only growing as he signed the papers and leaned over to take Laurel's shoulder. "First, though, we're going home and you can get settled. But, there's so much that I've been waiting to show you, I doubt we'll be staying inside for too long."
While he let Laurel process what he'd said, he turned back to Zeke and flashed his best smile.
"I haven't had the chance to say this yet, but thank you so much for taking care of him for me all this time." He said, offering his hand to the other man. "Honestly, I don't know where I'd be if I hadn't met you, either. You and Anastacia were part of the reason why I made this decision in the first place. Thank you so much." Laurel, somewhere between excited and overwhelmed, wiggled and glanced quickly between Oliver and Zeke. Every question he'd asked so far seemed to lead to more and more questions, which only made him feel more and more confused. Still, unable to resist the urge, another question pulled at his tongue.
"Who is Anast...Anasta-" He began, making a face. He wasn't sure if it was his jitters making this difficult or if this word was just hard for him to say. He scrunched his face and tried again, this time slowly. "Who is Ana-sta-cia?"

"So much more!" Zeke started bouncing in place, beaming between Raevan and Guardian as he did so. When Oliver spoke, the vet tipped his hand and his upper half in a bow that ended with a cheeky grin.
"Not a problem, man, I'm always happy to help!" His cheeks took on some pink at the humbling words the other man spoke. "Hey I'm really glad we ran into you that day! And even more so that you took up the offer and put your hat in the ring!"
He moved past Oliver when the other was done signing to look over the signatures and make sure everything was in order. Finding that the blond hadn't missed a line, Zeke took up the pen to put down his own name and the corresponding date, but had to pause when Laurel asked who a certain someone was.
"Anastacia is my Raevan," the vet said fondly, "see you're part of a VERY big family, Laurel! There's a whole load of Raevans for you to meet, and Anya is a Frei like you are! I can show you a picture of her. Hold on..."
He dropped the pen in order to dig his phone out of the pocket he had stuffed it in then took a moment to find a flattering photo of the Widow. When he had, he handed it over to Oliver then went back to putting his name down.
"Anya's a bit older than you are, Laurel, and a bit different than you too, see? Every Raevan you meet will be different but you're all the same at heart - you're all from the Lab. You're family!" The pen slid across the paper effortlessly and with a pleased hum Zeke held up the final form. "And voila! With a few strokes I hereby dub you two Guardian and Raevan! Now with the paperwork out of the way you are both now free to go home and start your lives together, but if you have any questions or want some more time to get acquainted before you leave, I'm down for that too!"

Laurel craned his head to the side and furrowed his brow. Raevan? Was that what he was? He looked down to his ribbon and touched his chest, allowing the word to settle into it's definition, and scrunched his nose. It didn't feel exactly right, but any argument against it faded when he saw the device in Oliver's hand. ... What was that?
"This is Ana-sta-cia?" He questioned, tilting his head about as he looked the phone over. ... He didn't really know what to make of it and only seemed to get excited when he actually noticed the picture. Was this who Zeke was talking about? Why was she in this weird box? He reached out to grab it.
"Why is she so small? Can she come out?" He chattered, shooting a very concerned look to Oliver as he quickly placed the phone out of his reach. "... I don't understand." "You will, I assure you, but later on." Oliver replied, adjusting his stance to be between Laurel and the phone. He had a hunch that it was probably best not to let Laurel have it just yet, mostly due to the glass on the floor behind them. If he'd already fussed with and broken one thing, it was likely that he'd do it again.
"Wonderful! I can't tell you how excited I am." He chimed, placing an arm behind Laurel with a laugh. "I think it would be best to get him settled back at home for now, but if you're up to it sometime, maybe we could have a get together where Laurel and Anastacia can get acquainted?"

"It's a picture of her, yes!" He took the phone back. "She's much taller in person, for now though, she's just fine. She's back at my home, actually."
The Cheetah was most definitely a fountain of questions. Zeke could only just imagine the bombardment Oliver was going to get not only at home but on the way as well!
"You don't have to tell me, Oliver, I can see it plain as day! And that sounds a-okay with me!" Zeke collected everything he had brought in and passed another glance to the glass covering that one area of the floor. Once these two were on their merry way he'd come back and give a thorough sweeping. "I'd like that a lot! Since we're getting into the winter months Anya won't be able to get out as much, so setting up meet and greets would be a great way to fight her cabin fever."
He gestured to the door, wanting the new pair to go ahead of him. When both were out, he quietly shut the door behind himself and took up stride next to them.
"Let me know when he's settled in and we'll go from there. Plan a date, location, all that stuff." He slipped out in front to hold the glass door into the lobby open and waved them in with a little bow.
"And here we are! Last stop before you two head on home!" He dipped off to put the file on his desk before spinning around to face Laurel and Oliver. "Last chance for questions, but of course if you end up having any later I am just a text away!"

A picture? Laurel blinked, unsure of what that meant. However, the conversation had quickly moved on to setting some sort of meeting up and heading home, to which the Raevan grinned. Maybe there would be more answers to his questions at home, wherever that was.
He followed Oliver and Zeke out, stopping part of the way to the door to give the lobby a quick once over, before deciding that it was best to stay close to his father. He hovered next to the blond, his hand moving to grab at his sleeve, and pursed his lips.
"Uh..." He muttered, glancing around again. Well, he had a lot of questions. What was this new room for? Why was he here to begin with? How had he gotten here? He squinted and, ultimately, shrugged. "I... Don't think so?""I'm sure I'll be able to answer anything he asks," Oliver began, pausing to give Laurel's hand a squeeze. "but for anything that I might not be able to answer, I'll certainly keep you in mind, and I'll be in touch soon for a get together!"
He turned his attention fully to Laurel, then, and grinned.
"Are you ready to go home now?" He asked.Laurel paused, as though hesitant, before he grasped Oliver's hand.
"Yes, I'm ready!" He said, looking to Zeke. "But, I want to see you again soon, Zeke! Okay?"

Zeke viewed the pair with a continuing mounting sense of pride. Oliver was glowing and Laurel, confused and overwhelmed as he was, was clearly excited by the prospect of going with his Guardian to their new abode.
"I'm already looking forward to hearing from you!" He bounced his way to the front door in order to do the gentlemanly thing and hold it open for them. He had to pause mid-step when Laurel made a demand and it sent the vet laughing quite happily indeed.
"Oh don't worry there kiddo, you'll see me again for sure! Next time I'll bring Anya with me so you two can meet, okay?" Although he couldn't say how the Widow would take to this one. He was an excitable thing to be sure, but perhaps settling into his home would temper him in a way that Anya would find agreeable.
"Alright guys, you have fun! Anything either of you need, give me a call anytime. Laurel, you be good now you hear? You've gotta take care of Oliver after all!"
He winked at the pair (although mainly to the Guardian in question) and with a wave, sent them on their way. Ah yes, this was one of the sights he most definitely enjoyed seeing; Guardian and Raevan heading off into the great unknown to prosper together. He already couldn't wait to see them again!!!
