The next cave... was not nearly as promising. At least, not to him. He only found one more crystal to add to his bag, but he kept looking about, trying to keep an eye on where the other agents were, and making sure he knew where youma weren't.
Perhaps he was being overcautious, but when he saw Spectrolite--still rubbing her knee...--enter the cave behind him, he paused his search for crystals to scout out a bit further into the cave. Girl was useless for fighting as it was... best to make sure nothing snuck up on her and added to his problems.

Her knee still hurt--and it felt like the fall had ripped her stockings a bit, ugh! Grumbling, she was a bit uneasy to find Seraphinite already heading further into the cave, and instead opted to uh... keep an eye on the entrance. Yep.
Her choice to stay behind though paid off, finding another clump of crystals she was able to hammer and pry out of the cave wall. Why Seraphinite hadn't grabbed these, she wasn't sure, but she happily added them to her pack.

No youma that he could find, but he did manage to collect more crystals as he went. His bag was starting to clink and rustle with them as he moved, though it was hardly a bad weight. If anything he was expecting to have to carry someone else's bag up as well as his own.

Spectrolite stayed up near the entrance of the second cave, clinking away at the wall and pull out more and more crystals as she went. Really, they could spend a long time down here, longer than two hours, if Leucite really wanted so many crystals... but she wasn't going to object to having to leave sooner rather than later.
Looking at the collection forming in her bag, she frowned a bit. Hopefully this would be enough..? Or at least, when added to whatever everyone else collected. How many was Leucite hoping for..?

She had worried, for a few moments, that the General wouldn't address her questions and concerns - to give her advice on how to move forward with the group best. She knew she was a risk and wanted to be as safe as possible, both personally and for everyone elses sake. When he did suggest pairing up she nodded her head. "Of course." Hopefully no youma would decide to attack, though she had no way to control such a thing.
It was when someone else approached, a rather friendly seeming female, with an offer to accompany them and their companion that Valeria nodded. "I can help...I do have magic I can use." Which would help, if a youma did attack , she just wasn't sure if it might escalate things. She really hoped all was safe for them as she moved to follow the female, long hair trailing behind her as she followed them into the cave.
"Ummm...I didn't get your name. I'm Valeria.." Even as she said this as she went to work on crystal collecting as well, she wanted to do her best to help. (Crystals so far: 4)

There weren't many crystals further into the cave--or at least, none he was able to utilize and collect. He broke off a chunk of one, and tossed that into his bag, but having to rely on the light from the few crystals around the rock made him reluctant to collect more.
Finally, he let out a breath and began the trek back towards the entrance, aware at least that Spectrolite wasn't the only one back up that way now. He didn't hide his disgruntled glare at the senshi as he approached, but did at least pause to linger where Spectrolite was collecting more crystals.
"What sort of magic?" He hadn't intended to speak up, never mind speak to the corrupt, but he'd overheard what she'd said and the curiosity nagged him. If only to know the potential uses of the senshi they had on their hands, in case something struck.

She'd been a bit surprised when the senshi did follow them, but she'd kept the friendly smile in place and didn't mind one bit. Unlike the other lieutenant who clearly minded....
"Oh that's a neat name! Nice to meet you, Valeria, I'm Spectrolite. This is Seraphinite," she added, motioning to the large guy in green. She worked at getting more crystals out, happy at the number in her bag already. But pausing, she blinked a bit at the other woman's outfit. And um... hair.
"Do you ever step on your hair? Or get it caught in stuff?" It was so long...

Stibnite had gone silent once more as Leucite had moved the class into the Rift. Taking up the rear, she followed the group, allowing her trained eyes and ears to do the rest. Stibnite was a huntress. It was her skills that she had proven over and over again to her General that gave her this roll. She was no fool though as she flicked her wrist and summoned the new weapon her upgrade had come with. It was small and the 'arrows' no more than tooth picks but it was far more promising than that cross. Leaving the halls and coming to the ravine, Stibnite watched as the group broke up, taking her place once more at Leucite's side. "So, this is why I got stuck closing the other day." There was a quick glance at the man with a sly smirk but nothing more was said. She wasn't hunting for crystals like the others but she was keeping an eye one them. Which caves they went into. How many went into each one. How large the bags appeared after the came back. "Looks like you will have a large collection if you let them keep going too long." Glancing back at Leucite, she quickly shoot a look at his youma. He was more in tune with the Rift than they were. It was something she needed to learn.

The first came seemed like it yielded a few useful crystals, but Lopezite wasn't sure he had a good enough understanding of what counted as a successful bounty. Which meant he just needed to travel to the next cave.
The second one, however, gave him less than the first, despite the extra time he spent scrounging around. It was disappointing; he'd expected more than a measly two, but it made him wonder if he'd set his standards two high. The crystals weren't hard to miss, but he suddenly began to doubt himself.
...Which was a bad sign, and which probably meant he needed to suck it up and move on.
Being in the Rift sent a strange shiver down his spine; he didn't like it, but Leucite had a good task set for them.
He didn't want to let him down again.

She understood, and knew, that in the ancient past the senshi with her name and her sphere had done things - terrible things. But she had not...she had been brought right into the Negaverse. Yet she knew she was disliked by some, she knew and had heard some officers really didn't like senshi even if they were corrupted. She was glad someone had invited her along, she hoped they didn't get hurt because of her.
The four crystals she had found their way into her bag before she turned her pink eyes to the one who asked about her magic. "It sort of...causes the enemy to...stop thinking - to not be able to. They just sort of stand there in a daze. I don't know what I'll be able to do later on, when I gain more magic. But my sphere...I can only assume it'll be more helpful." At least she hoped so. She really did want to help - to be useful. She wanted to find her place here...and she had yet to. Maybe if her magic did more than now, not that it wasn't helpful now, she would find some acceptance? Some friends even.
"It is nice to meet you Spectrolite, Seraphinite." She said nodding her head to them both, smiling at them both (though just a bit more to the female.),
"I do...I've had other people step on it and trip me...can't be helped. We all seem to have long hair." Every corrupt seemed to have long hair, like she did, though maybe her's was longer than some. "It's not this long normally..." Not when she wasn't powered up she meant. She was more practical than this. (Crystals so far: 9)

Raspite followed the others into the rift. He more than comfortable with the oppressive feeling that was surrounding him at this point. The more times he came here, the less odd it felt, and that alone was a plus.
He listened to the instructions given by the general, taking mental note as he nodded. He would gather what he could and get out quickly. It was the best course of action at this time.
It was only when he entered the cave that he noticed how difficult this could be. Done of the crystals were not viable, and others seemed to get scooped up by the other lieutenants that passed him by.
He cursed and moved further into the depths of the cave, managing to find two decent sized crystals tucked deep in a corner.
"If nothing else i will not return empty handed." He grinned and made his way back toward that mouth of the cave, making certain to keep his eyes open for any more crystals that may have been passed up by fast working comrades.

Lopezite strolled through the cave; he let his feet guide him, but it seemed he'd hit a bit of luck. There was a large patch of crystals here, and though many of them were small, a few sizable crystals made it worth his while.
It was a good sign of things to come--or, at least, he hoped.

Distraction magic then, or debilitating. Useful. He was grudgingly surprised by this, though there were many questions concerning how long her magic could stand, and what would happen the moment a target under her magic was hit... but he set those aside for now, focusing on trying to find more crystals.
A few more came up and he bagged them, listening with almost bored interest as the other two talked. But he was, reluctantly, forming plans in his head, to how magic like that could be used. Mostly to set up a target to be an easier strike by someone with, say, a proper weapon to take them out.
His face contorted a bit in a grimace. Why he was even humoring such thoughts was beyond him. Working with other agents? Fine. Working with senshi? Not. Happening. They weren't allies. None of them. He'd barely given a grunt of acknowledgement when the senshi said his name.

"Oh that magic sounds really cool! Have you gotten to use it before? Wish I had magic and not like... these things," she sighed wistfully, summoning her weapon of stacking toy rings. She groaned at the very sight of them before laughing a bit. "I mean I guess I can smack people with them but c'mon..."
With a laugh, she sent them away again, focusing on getting more crystals she'd spotted. She listened intently though to what the woman was saying. She hadn't really met a corrupt senshi till now, and they kinda fascinated her in a you are totally other what are you way.
"Can you pin it up? I mean, it kinda already is but... like, do you take hair ties with you on patrol or something? Or clips?" She sent the senshi a curious look before grinning. "It's super pretty, don't get me wrong, but that's gotta be so annoying to have it so long!" Why did their hair grow out like that..? It seemed like such a waste to her.

Watching as the male went back to work she wondered, for a breif moment, if he was like the others who she knew didn't like senshi like herself. It wasn't her fault what had happened in the past. She was here now and she had magic, it was useful and could be beneficial. She had wondered, when she'd first arrived in Destiny City, why they hadn't just killed her back in India when that cat had found her. Why hadn't they killed her like they did others, she'd heard them mention it and discuss it. But instead she had been spared and kept, let to live, and corrupted instead. She had arrived here two weeks later, the move had already been long planned by her family, she did wonder if they'd known somehow? Had it been just a good coincidence? Her sphere had been mentioned then and maybe that was what saved her? That it sounded useful, even if it hadn't proven to be at that point. She knew it was now though, thankfully.
"I have...a few times...not many. First time was against a white moon senshi...brooms I think." She said while bagging the crystals she had, five more, and went back to chipping free some more. Delicate and gentle, long, fingers worked to nimbly pry the chipped away at crystals free from their stone holdings.
"I could...haven't though, I'd need a lot of pins and I don't think I could do it on my own." She'd likely need someone to help her with the task, it was a lot of hair, a lot of pins would be needed and she couldn't see where to place them all. She also had a feeling her arms would get tired working all her hair up with pins.
"No...I've never used anything else on my hair - just the piece in it now." At the mention of her hair, the compliment, she felt her cheeks flush lightly and smiled brightly. "Thank you, I think your hair is lovely as well." It was annoying, and dangerous, but she had gotten as used to it as she could. She was worried about this winter with snow and ice and heels plus her long hair. Roof top hopping about the city was not a safe thing for her, for obvious reasons, and she wondered if she could get some hair ties and try to use them this winter - for safety reasons.
"I might have to try something for this winter." Freeing up another crystal it went into her bag alongside the previous nine. Her nimble fingers went back to work as did the pick.(Crystals so far: 10)

"That would be why, yes," Leucite said to his Captain with a small grin. "I figured it would be good to actively scout the area before bringing in a bunch of fresh Lieutenants, I didn't notice any large amounts of Youma activity so I figured this would be as safe a place as any." All the while he'd been talking, his hand had been gently stroking the mangy fur of Iudicael. He was paying the canine youma extra attention. As Stibnite as surmised, the youma knew more about the Rift than any of them did - even Lecuite, who's weak long foray had only really succeeded because of his personal youma. He pulled the timer out of his jacket. It'd been about an hour, if Iudicael started to get a bit cagey, he'd call them in early. "A large collection is good, it means we'll have plenty of ornaments to sell-" His personal youma stiffened, and Lecuite felt what could have been an almost imperceptible tremor had it not been for Iudicael's sudden stillness. His eyes darted down the Ravine, and he pulled out his communicator crystal.
"I want everyone to start to make their way back to the meeting place - continue to gather what you can as you make your way back, and be on guard... I think we're about to have some uninvited guests."With that, he put the communicator away and placed a hand on the wall of the ravine, looking back up and down the length of it as he tried to feel another tremor. Iudicael had seemed to calm however, so Lecuite too began to relax - but only just. "One more scare like that and we're packing it in..." Leucite said to Stibnite. "Be ready to cover me in case something big shows up." Quote: Well that was close! You might want to start heading back to Lecuite and Captain Stibnite! You can still roll to gather crystals! One every hour you may roll one six sided die. Keep track of your total, as this is the total number of viable crystals your character has gathered in their time in the Rift! The next status update post will be in 24 hours.

When she heard the orders over her communicator, which had been pulled from subspace as she sort of..sensed like a calling from it, she nodded and went to hurry up. "We should go." Her fingers finished pulling at a crystal and she did start moving even as she tried to chip away at other crystals to free them from their holds in the cave, she wants to get whatever she could before leaving.
She knew she hadn't collected much, despite trying her best, it just seemed she'd had little to no luck really. The idea of uninvited guests, youma no doubt, had her nerves set on edge and she was...worried...scared? Her hands shook that was for certain and she tried to hide it by doing something - gathering. (Crystals so far: 12)
