She listened as the colt attempted to explain the situation, and instantly realized her lacking explanation was clearly not thorough enough. As tempting as it was to have a pet bird, she was pretty sure this was not how she wanted to get one!
With a shy, uncertain smile, the filly pranced forward, shooing away any lingering birds. Then, in a showy manner, began to trot back and forth, somewhat showing what her answer was to his question through action.

Blinking, Shockstar stared at her a moment...then laughed.
That answered that question! "Perfect! I'll....uh... try not to throw too hard?" he said, tilting his head as he glanced back down at the capsule in his hoof. Now that he thought about it all, he didn't want to hurt her. But boy did he need the practice!
"OK! Here comes the first one!" he called out to prepare her, trying his best to guess which way she was going to end up. He made an assumption, waited... and then tossed a ball at her!
Only to have it land in the opposite direction of the filly.
"Right....this might take a while..." he said, somewhat defeated but puffed out his chest in determination.

If that demonstration was not an indicator that the colt needed some practice, Out of Orbit didn't know what would qualify.
It was only a bittersweet sense of relief she felt as she wasn't pelted with a plastic ball.
"Th-that's okay! Y-you... you can try again!"
The filly moved in a wide circle, cantering the whole time so one couldn't accuse her of moving too slow. With a painfully conflicted smile, she added "I...I know you can do it!"Fea Line I am super excited for Sun/Moon on Friday >3>

Ears falling flat against his head, Shockstar took a moment to breath deep, in and out a few times. Once he had felt better, he flashed the filly a smile. "Alright, next one coming up!" he grinned, yanking his bag over and grabbed yet another plastic ball from the pouch.
He narrowed his eyes, sizing up his 'prey' and waited for what he felt was the right moment to strike. His second attempt was closer to the filly, but still too slow, causing the ball to land behind her instead of on her.
Groaning a moment, Shockstar sucked in another breath and grabbed another ball, already ready for try three. He watched her again, took aim and tossed the ball again, this time it soaring just over head. But at least he was sorta kinda in the general area. And each time he tried, the more he felt like he was starting to get how this 'moving target' thing worked.LizzyMoo I want mooooon but i wont be able to afford it right away ;n;

While Shockstar kept his eye on her, Out of Orbit paid more attention to keeping her eye on theball. Last thing she needed was to get smacked in the face and not be prepared for it.
The second ball was right in front of her. The filly made certain to not step on top of it as she passed. She'd probably trip with her luck.
The third ball went over her head. Her eyes (and head) followed the ball as it went behind her. If one listened carefully, something resembling the sound of a sigh of relief could be heard.
For a moment Out of Orbit paused, looking at the colt thoughtfully. Maybe she was going about this the wrong way? Pawing at the ground with a hoof, she heaved in a deep breath before doing what could be considered the bravest thing she had ever done.
She charged at Shockstar.Fea Line I prepaid for both games up front >3> ... now I don't have to worry about paying anything xd

Digging through his bag, Shockstar had pulled out a few more balls and had set them up in a nice pile at his hooves. He had a smile on his face and, for the first time today, was having fun! Not at the fact that he was tossing balls at a filly, no. But at the fact that he was spending time with someone who had offered to help him better himself!
"I think I'm getting the hang of----" his words were cut short as he realized just what was happening.
"Hey... hey... hey wait wait wait!!" he blinked, completely taken by surprise at her sudden decision. Picking up a few of the capsules he raised a hoof all while trying not to trip over himself. Blinking, mouth open in total shock, he aimed....
Without a second thought, he launched a ball through the air at his ever closer companion.....

Out of Orbit regretted everything right now. Her decision to run at Shockstar, her decision to help him get some moving target practice, and most definitely stopping to figure out what the colt had been doing in the first place.
Yet, a small part of her knew this was the right thing to do. Helping someone else to become the best (like no one ever was) just felt right.
Two of the balls that were flung towards her zipped super close to her, almost grazing her pelt. However, the final one landed straight on the middle of her forehead. Caught a bit by surprise, she landed wrong mid-gallop and ended up tumbling forward.

Shockstar remained where he stood for several long minutes, trying to process what had just happened.
When she tumbled forward, he had stumbled backwards, landing awkwardly on his butt, mouth open. In his mind he replayed the scene of the ball connecting right with the middle of her head. At first he was concerned, then excited, then a bit overwhelmed. Finally the filly spoke and her words seemed to just melt his stiffness.
"I... I did! I finally....hit a moving target!" he gasped, his smile spreading slowly until it eventually took over his entire face. Rushing over to her, he held out a hoof to help her up and ensure she was ok. "Thank you thank you thank YOU! I think I can do it now!!" he all about shouted in his newfound excitement. "I owe you big time. Whatever you need, let me know!" he nodded, offering her a promise.

Did Shockstar have a twin brother he forgot to mention before? Perhaps her landing wasn't all that good, because she was apparently seeing double thanks to her tumble.
One of her legs twitched a bit as she tried to collect herself. The filly resisted the urge to ask about the twin brother, but there was evidently some sort of difficulty as she attempted to reach for his hoof and kept missing.
"I... I d-don't need anything... b-but... I am glad!!"
After the 4th attempt at reaching his hoof, Out of Orbit finally connected.Fea Line I may have died and vanished to Pokemon-world! 8D;;;

After helping her to her hooves, Shockstar inspected her to make sure she wasn't seriously injured. "Nonsense, if you ever do hit me up!" he grinned, his smile so wide it would probably crack his face any minute.
"I feel like a new colt!" he beamed, pumping his hoof a few times in success. "I'm going to catch them now for sure! And all thanks to you!" he nodded triumphantly. He could feel it in his bones, he was going to be the absolute very best now! Just wait and see! LizzyMoo jelly ;u; i think this ones about done tho :3

Once she was finally up on her hooves, she stayed as still as she could, as if still steadying herself. Where as she felt all the praise was completely unnecessary, it felt good. Not just that she was getting credit, but that this colt now was feeling good about himself too! Shockstar was beaming, and she couldn't help but beam as well. Though her smile wasn't nearly as dominating upon her features, the enthusiasm was definitely contagious.
"I am glad I could help!" Finally seeming fully balanced, the filly then waved at the odd-tailed colt. "It was nice meeting you, I would love to see anything you catch later on!" With a wider smile on her face than she had to begin with, she trotted along on her way to her next adventure.Fea Line FIN? (feel free to let me know if this acceptable in main guild)
