Mull Harumi grumbles at the orange and white fox 'Tronic that had taken him in. At first, he'd thought things would be alright between the two of them since the other seemed to be a slacker, but unfortunately, the other was adamant that Mull attend classes. So, Mull found himself stuck in his first class, Science. He glowers at his classmates, his tails twitching just slightly before he yawns in boredom and looks to the front of the class. Apparently they were going to be doing some sort of experiment today? That perked Mull up a bit. Maybe he would get to blow things up?

Candy slid into his seat in science class with his usual casual attitude. He didn't expect anything exciting today. It wasn't a lab day, just a standard listen and take notes kind of day... or so he thought. As the teacher entered the room carrying a fat stack of papers his face fell. It was a test day, and he had completely forgotten about it and hadn't so much as glanced at his notes. "Please let it be easy, please let it be easy." He prayed only to be greeted by physics questions when he was handed his paper. He groaned as he realised he was so going to fail.

Bugs. That was the topic of Minty's very first science class, and she wasn't sure how she to feel. She knew that she should be grossed out, that she should hate the squirmy little creatures that were in the large glass tanks at the front of the class. That was what proper little ladies did right? But she wasn't. She thought that the reactions of the other girls were silly and over exaggerated. I mean they were tiny, and it wasn't like a bug, no matter how big could hurt a tronic, so what was the point of hiding or screaming or any of that other stupidness. Besides she thought they were cute. Some of them had such pretty colours

Colby stared in awe as the teacher talked about the difference between species of insect. He wasn't staring at the teacher, though. He stared at the examples the teacher had brought in. Terrariums full of squirming, writhing bugs sat at the front of the class, weirding out most of the girls and fascinating a large number of the boys.
He had seen bugs before - what kid hadn't? - but not so many at once! They weren't just gross cockroaches and flies, either. Some of them were red with black spots! Others gleamed with different colours when they were hit with the light. It was really cool.

Minty screwed the last piece into place with an excited smile. She had been working on this little machine for a couple days, researching and designing it. It was nothing spectacular, all it was really made to do was shuffle a deck of cards, but she had built it herself from scraps and odds and ends she had collected. If this didn't impress her science teacher at least a little then she had no idea what would.
