She wanted to comfort him but knew that was not her place and kept her hands to herself. she felt bad for what she said, she should not have done that. she shook her head at his question and stayed silent. She pulled her wings in closer as the sky grew darker and tucked her other smaller arms in trying to make her look less like a moth and more of an average everyday monster as they walked along the silent street

Cody looked at her, seeing that she had quieted down but as she tucked in her wings, he looked forward, "So, what do you do?" He asked wondering if she had a job or family aside from the friend who she was meeting with. He figured that she asked about him, he should ask about her, but he also wanted to get her character focused, if she slipped nd showed signs of deceptions he would have a reason to not trust her.

She perked up a bit as he asked her a question "I own a small shop downtown, i make and sell clothing there." she said, what she wore was an example of the type of clothes she made, she made everything she wore but it all looked pretty much the same. "I opened just after sunrise, and close just before sunset." she said, it was clear by that she didn't like being out in the dark. She kind of liked it when she was asked questions about herself, she never got to talk about herself cause she only had that one friend that she was worried about.

Cody heard what she said but thought it over, "Clothes huh... i would say that you and my friend would be the best of friends if you werent competting clothes making business. I dont think it would work out... anyway, this is the place." He said as he went up and knocked on the door. The porch light turned on and the door opened, a man walking out, "Can i help you?" He asked as he stepped out but Cody nodded, "Yes sir, im investigating a case that involved a wallace mancer." He stated as the man seemed nervous, "Im sorry but i think that you have the wrong address." He said as the man was about to retreat back into his house but Cody grabbed him by the collar and pinned him to the wall under the light, "Tell me what i want to know. Wallace owned several buildings and one is maked with your signature. Why so many buildings and why are some removed from the files!?" He demanded and the man cowered.

Eden stopped walking when he did, huh the thought of her being friends with someone smiled. she waited while he knocked and a man answered, she was then startled when he pinned the man agents the wall under the light. the gasped and her hands covered her mouth before she put one her her hands on Cody and looked at the man cowering. "Please sir, tell him what he wants to know i don't want anyone to get hurt." she asked the man her big soft grey eyes looking at him with a cute look her voice was soft and calming, she was sure she would get yelled at but she thought speaking in the right tone and in the right way first was better the violence and her being an attractive woman also helped when she spoke to men.

Cody heard her voice and felt hand hand on him but he ignored her, "Talk!" He demanded and the man looked betweem them both but nodded, "Fine, theres... theres an abandoned building on 3rd avenue, its building #304. Its a building used to direct traffic... thats all i know, im just the lanes keeper." He stated but Cody let go of him, "Thats all i needed, know tell anyone i was here, and i will be back, alright." He stated as the man retreated inside but Cody walked off the porch as if it had been nothing.

Eden stood there for a moment before trotting off behind him and then walking next to him "Why do you yell and scare people? Is it so you look like the bad cop in what you humans call the "good cop bad cop" technique?" she asked. It was becoming clear she was a little lost in time. She had no T.V no Radio, no nothing really to keep her up to date with the world around her. She only had her love of making clothes and a few old CD's. She glanced at Cody every now and then as they walked along the street

Cody heard what she said but thought it over, "A bit, my brother was usually the initidating and manipulator and i would be the good guy but usually scaring people like that scum bag gets the same results." He explained but thought it over, "Hey, it got info that could help you for all you know." He stated they would walk and it wasnt long till they got to the building, it was dark and no one seemed there so he went to the door and began to pick the lock.

Eden shrugged a little as they walked. This man seemed so rude, but she also sensed that he was a kind person, once upon a time. She was looking around when they stopped was was in shock when he started to pick the lock, she had no clue what she was doing but it looked difficult to her. She walked over and peaked over his shoulder leaning on him a bit. "oops sorry, i was curious." she said as she stood back up straight.

Cody saw her out of the corner of his eye as she tried to look at what he was doing. When she apologized but shrugged, "Its fine... but it doesn't take a detective to sense that your secretly judging me." He stated as he thought it over, "So while I am unlocking this door, if you would like to say something, go ahead and speak your mind." he said not even turning his head. He would have admitted that since his brother died, their has been a lonely feeling that was filled with pain from his loss. He didn't feel right to let the firm that his brother set up die with him so he did his best to keep going only to push many 'creatures' away and only really dealing with human cases, which weren't many.

"Why stop helping monsters after you brother died? Don't you think he'd want you to keep the business going and help anyone who needed it?" she questioned in a soft voice rocking back and forth on her feet from heel to toe. she kept her arms in front and her wings folded down. She kept looking around the area like she was expecting someone to pop out of no where

Cody stopped picking the lock for a moment, "Because you monster betrayed him..." he said simply, "You want to know the story, me and my brother were investigating a vampire who was accused of stealing many bags of blood from the human hospital he worked at. My brother found evidence to prove him innocent but also found a lead that could lead us to a black market that had been plagueing this city. As we made our way down a dark alley, i was thrown against the wall and had the air knocked from me. The monster was strong, tall, sharp claws, some kind of canine ears, a lizard tail... it was the basic term of a cimera, a myth and yet i watched as it tore my brother apart. I was useless as he was torn to bits..." he had continued to pick the lock and got distracted as he broke the pick and stood up. He resorted to just kicking the door open, the lock breaking with ease, "I searched for the monster but it vanished and not a single one of your kind, none of those who he helped or anyone would out that monster... thats why. Your kind dont have hearts in my book, your kind turned your backs to my brother who had nothing but open arms to your kind." He said pulling out a flash light and walking into the building leaving her outside as he didnt wait for her. He basically laid out why he had a distaste for her kind, and basically explained his brothers death.

Eden stepped back a bit. She watched him kick the door down still listening to his story, she felt hurt, hurt he would think they were all like that. "Did you ever stop to think that we feared for a lives if we said anything about him." she crossed her arms under her chest and raised an eyebrow at Cody. "And not all of us are like that, what if i assumed all humans were like that based and a group who didnt say anything cause they were scared of losing their life." she pouted a bit she did not like that he was saying EVERY monster was bad because they were scared. She peeked in the dark place and shook her head refusing to go in pitch black was not her kinds friend evil evil things lurked in the dark for her.

He heard what she said, but didn't care as he looked around the living room that he had walked into. His flashlight breaking through the darkness as he then turned to her, "Yeah well every monster has the right to scary as well... growing up humans always made up stories of monsters going bump in the night... yeah well both humans and monsters can't be trusted. If a monster would have outed that thing that killed my brother, I would have killed it and taken its carcass to the morgue myself." He said a bit pissed off but then realized he had gotten a temper as he calmed down, "Sorry, anyway, are you going to come inside or sit out in the open where someone might get you... this building isn't out in the kindest of neighborhoods." he stated simply as he pointed the flashlight to her. He noticed her arms under her chest but sighed, "Sorry for yelling, I know that there are two monsters I can trust, you are still under the guilty until innocent category." He honestly stated.

Eden looked around at the neighborhood before she quickly walked into the building she looked around the dark place and stayed close to Cody but not too close to invade his personal space. "Thank you again." She said in a quiet soft voice. She decided it was probably a good time to stay quiet and let him do his job, she did tilt her head a bit wondering who the monsters were that he trusted but didn't want to poke at his personal life anymore. She Looked out the open door way every so often being a bit paranoid at this moment in time.
