"Humans are weird," he comments, munching on a few pretzels as she asks about his outfit's construction. Swallowing, he nods. "Yeah something like that, it's a bit makeshift but it doesn't leak, so it works," he replies. "Didn't figure it'd last long anyway, I tend to go through drink pretty quickly," he says with a smirk. Normally in fact he was pretty sloshed by this point, and while he was maybe less than sober at the moment and not perfectly steady, he was doing pretty well for the amount of alcohol he'd had so far. The boy could typically hold his liquor, it just depended on how hard he tried to get drunk...

"I completely agree." Mewtwo responded firmly with a nod to the comment about humans being weird; she'd seen quite a few of them and some seemed weirder than others. She looked over him as he explained the costume, surprised that something he claimed as makeshift worked rather well. To the comment that he went through alcohol quickly she couldn't hide a smirk and a small chuckle. "The same could be said for most of us, I think. I doubt the booze table will stay stocked." She downed the rest of her beer as if to prove the point, tossing the bottle into a bin before she turned to look through the snacks. "I'm a little surprised to see that the others here haven't raided more of the alcohol. They'd best get their fill before we end up draining it ourselves, eh?" She grinned as she picked up a pawful of....crispy balls of cheese? She tried one and was surprised by the flavor, happily shoving the rest of what she had into her mouth.

Barnacle smirked as the elder downed another drink before going for the snacks. "Yeah, what's the point of a party if yer not drinkin, aye?" he asks, as he too, grabs some of the cheese balls and downs a pawful, munching happily. "Mmm, say what we will about the humans, they do make great snack foods," he comments before grabbing another bottle himself, popping it open with a claw and downing the contents. Tossing that bottle away he eyes the table. "Huh, wonder if they got any of that strong stuff I saw at the last shindig...." The wraik looks for the 'shine Toby had offered him, or something of similar strength. "Beer just doesn't do much to me anymore, hence, the rum," he laughs, pointing to his outfit.

Mewtwo grabbed another pawful of cheese balls, gobbling them down rather greedily for someone who's supposed to be so dignified. She grinned at the young one, chuckling just a little bit. "It would seem so. I've yet to try other snack foods but I may just have to explore more of these strange confections." An ear twitched at the mention of some stronger alcohol her attention was turned to the alcohol table once again, seeing how the younger one was searching through it. "I agree, it would be a shame if there was not something stronger. Although.....what in the world is this?" She picked up a mason jar that was filled with some kind of liquid that had a couple of cinnamon sticks floating around in it.

Barnacle peers at the jar she found and blinks. "Hmm, I think that looks sorta like what I had before, but I don't remember the stuff floating in it...." He shrugs though, and paws for another one, letting her keep that whole jar if she wants. Finding one he snatches it up. "Worth a try, at least," he grins, and proceeds to start filling the biggest container or bowl he can find with a mix of all the snacks on the table, though avoiding the sweet ones. "Now to go plant my happy a** back down where I was before," he grunts, though eyes her a moment. "I ain't usually much fer company but eh, as yer not one of them stupid Winikos..." He isn't really -quiet- about this comment, "...I won't mind so much if you wanna follow along," he says with a light smirk, and turns tail to go back to where he was camped before.

He couldn't believe his human had SHOVED him in here, last minute... in this awful costume no less! If he was going to be a samurai, he'd be a handsome, dashing... and accurate... one. This costume was clearly... ugh. His human had no sowing skills, he was sure of this. He was just annoyed as anything. He didn't even have anywhere proper to STORE the blasted Katana! And that was the most accurate part she'd given him, it was bloody well REAL. He stomped over to the snacks table, his tail slashing through the air, and... glowered at his Katana. How the FARQ was he to enjoy anything with this in his paws?
He eyed his belt, considering sticking it there... and then winced, because no sheath. He was not at all interested in stabbing himself in the knee. Finally he set it, gingerly, down, and STOOD on the hilt with one front paw and grabbed a drink, before looking around at everyone.

Mewtwo raised an eyebrow at the jar of liquid she hoped was booze that seemed to be infused with these cinnamon sticks. She opened it carefully and sniffed at it curiously; it smelled oddly sweet yet strong. She took a cautious sip and...."This is most definitely alcohol....very strong....and tastes like apple pie." It wasn't half bad, actually. Movement from the corner of her eye caught her attention and she saw the younger male filling a rather large bowl with a mix of the salty/savory snacks available. A grin appeared on her face, followed by a chuckle as he mentioned going back to where he was before. His pause as he eyed her made a brow raise, wondering what he was thinking until he mentioned that he wouldn't mind if she went with him. "Considering some of the company is less than ideal, I do believe I'll take you up on that offer." She grabbed a bowl and followed his example by making a mix of all the snacks on the table, sweet ones included because she hadn't tried all that many. She smiled and followed the younger Wraik back to his original spot, taking another drink of the mason jar alcohol. "This alcohol burns going down but tastes rather nice. No doubt it will hit me soon enough."

Rin just sat in the corner trying to tell himself this was all a nightmare. Everyone was crazy. This was just too much for him. Why had he come here in the first place? He was sure it was involuntary. There was no way he could want to do that. Perhaps the crazy amount of booze he was drinking was messing with his mind, telling him he should go talk to someone. There was no way he wanted to talk to anyone, but he was torn. He scanned the room and shrugged. Everyone here was crazy. 'I have to stay sensible.' He wanted to chill with good people not crazy people. Near the door stood another really mad looking guest. 'I should go talk to them,' he thought. That would make sense since they don't want to be here either.

Hitoshi glanced around and noticed the other demon with an eye on him. He pondered, and nodded at the other, not being willing to move off his sword. He had a feeling the bloody Human wouldn't let him hear the end of it, EVER, if he lost the damn thing. Also... well it WAS a nice sword, at least. He sipped the beverage he snagged, and made a sort of 'HRNPH' noise. He hadn't realized it was alcohol! And it wasn't even sake. Urrrgh, he did not like most alcohol, and this was weird and cinnamony.
Not that cinnamon was bad, but it didn't belong in booze. At least they hadn't adulterated good sake with it.
