Zac dropped the branches he was holding and just stared at Jeremiah.
He shook his head slowly, it wasn’t a frown on his face, but his brow was furrowed. Concern, hurt.
He closed his eyes and shook his head.
“… I can’t.” He shook it again “You - GOD.”
“I can’t believe you did that. After everything that they went through, and that was the… the only way you could ‘fix’ whatever the hell you thought was wrong?”
He ran his hands through his hair, fingers tangling and he simply yanked them free though it must have hurt.
“I-“ He shook his head. “- I don’t think I can talk to you right now. I need to think about this.”
He sat down on the grass amid what he’d dropped of the clippings.
