"You do have a point. Speaking of selfishness," She quirked a brow at him, with a little knowing smile. "I'm going to be the one to pay for this meal, aren't I?"
It wasn't long before their food was delivered to them, and maybe she was a little too excited when it came. Everything smelled so good, and for a moment all Dris'rynne could do was to look at her meal, closing her eyes just long enough to inhale the scent with a contented sigh.
Even if her pregnancy had started off with her trying to eat well, it certainly wasn't ending that way. She rarely cooked; and what she did cook she usually ended up eating on for multiple days without warming it. So, when she was able to taste something warm and with flavor...
Dris'rynne practically inhaled her meal. She tried to eat slowly, so as not to embarrass herself, but what did it really matter? The woman took big, voracious bites and when her plate was clear she leaned back in her seat, tilting her face up to the ceiling, "Ugggh, I'm so stuffed. I really am a pig."

Teslaron's grin was broad and sly, amused but also not entirely willing to show it. "That wasn't my intention," he admitted with a shrug. "But since you offered, and I'm sure you could stomach more now than I could in a matter of days, you really might as well." So if nothing else, at least he still had that. He could make fun of Dris'rynne's weight and her capacity for eating all day long.
Tes enjoyed breakfast. Like many others, he claimed it to be the 'most important meal of the day.' Eating something worthwhile was how to start a day off right, and surely, surely food was the best way to put someone in a good mood. Unfortunately, breakfast was also a meal that encouraged unhealthy choices. Plates of fried meats and eggs and bowls of shredded potatoes and sticky sweet syrups. He couldn't imagine they suddenly became good for you when pregnant, though judging from the way Dris consumed her meal, she seemed very excited about it.
The corner of Tes' lip quirked up in hesitant amusement. "You don't really enjoy this stuff, do you?" He asked seriously. "Inn food is nothing special. Worse for your health and not even seasoned to taste. Just... slops of garbage produced en masse."

She stuck her tongue out at him before stuffing a piece of meat into her mouth as petulantly as possible. Dris'rynne knew he was just trying to get a rise out of her, but she wasn't about to let that stop her from getting her fill.
"It's good. Very sweet and juicy." The swordswoman lifted her glass to her lips, and took a drink of fresh, crisp juice. "Honestly, what's the big fuss? If you don't want to eat it, then don't order it." Beggars couldn't be choosers and since Dris'rynne was no cook, Tes had no home of his own, they should have been lucky to eat it.

On the whole, Teslaron didn't consider himself a 'picky' person. There were a few select areas where he'd rather have high quality items or nothing at all. Baths were one, and food was another. Nothing he could get off the street or at an inn was quite up to his standards, and he wasn't yet to the point where he thought he would starve if he didn't eat immediately. Better not to assault his taste buds or his internals with that slop. "I wasn't planning on eating it," he retorted. "And it's not 'juicy.' It's greasy, and that's the type of thing that'll make your pretty face pop out into an ugly mess."
He nudged a plate farther away from his person. "Besides, you know I don't come here to eat. I'm more interested in..." He mimicked the shape of a glass between his fingers and tipped it up close to his mouth as he dropped his head back. But she knew that. She'd seen it before.
"Anyway, my sweet sky goddess, you don't know yet what wonders I can do for you, but you'll learn." Tes reached across the table and patted her hand. There was only a beat of hesitance before his skin touched hers, as though he suspected that bringing his digits so close to her fork might be a mistake, but he wasn't one to retreat. Instead, he quirked her the cockiest smirk ever to grace a boy's lips and hummed, "Don't worry. I'll teach you."

Dris'rynne looked down to where his hand touched hers, and quirked a brow before looking up, eyes widening a tick at that smirk. Gods, but he was so full of himself. She shook her head with a smirk of her own, one born out of pure amusement, and pulled her hand away to reach for her coin. "I'm sure you will. In the mean time let's get out of here; the longer we sit around the more people will stare."
She took out enough to pay for not only the meal she'd engulfed, but the meal he hadn't touched and a tip for the waitress. Dris'rynne used her heels to aid in pushing her chair back, then grasped the edge of the table to help her to stand.
