While briefly interested in what Zeke had to say, Zoe's interest immediately subsided when she realized that paperwork was the next step. So while Zeke continued to talk she took it upon herself to touch the Raevan's clothes and hair. The Frei in turn did the same, and within a few moments the two were giggling wordlessly at each other
Phoenix immediately honed in on having something specific to do, looking at the stack of papers that came out of the envelope. This he could do. Paperwork was a big part of his job, and even if he disliked that aspect of it this gave him something emotionless that he could focus on before he had an aneurysm.
Or so he thought.
The mention of a name brought three sets of eyes immediately to Zeke's face. The Hippocampus let go of her sister's pigtail and floated straight up to the man, hovering over him and reaching out to click the top of the pen. "A name?" Her tone was hushed, excited, and she clicked the pen a few more times before looking at her Guardian. "Yes, yes, what is my name?"
Phoenix and Zoe had both been waiting for this moment. They'd discussed names and settled on one female and one male, so they were ready for this. But this was huge, and Phoenix could feel his emotions bubbling up in his stomach like it was churning. He looked at Zoe. "What we agreed on, right?"
Zoe nodded. "Yeah, I think it fits her." She looked at the Hippocampus and smiled. "It's pretty, like her."
Feeling a tear welling up in his eye, Phoenix immediately went to brush it away before it could be seen. But his voice still cracked a bit when he spoke, looking at the Frei before decidedly saying, "Shoshana." He looked between her and Zeke. "Her name is Shoshana."

The eyes were on him in an instant after that and Zeke replied with an earnest chuckle. There wasn't quite the 'deer in headlights' look to those eyes - save for maybe the Hippocampus and even then only for a bare hint of a moment - but it was a unified awe all the same.
The Frei in question was as eager as ever to have a name and when she hovered over to Zeke in order to click his pen a few times he made sure to tip it her way to make that all the easier for her. To Zeke's surprise, Phoenix and Zoe both looked at each other in a knowing sort of way before agreeing upon the name that had been previously decided upon. Phoenix then spoke it and Zeke lit up all the more for it.
"Shoshana!" He clapped his hands together and nodded, looking from the teary-eyed Greek to his newly named ward. "That's a very pretty name! What do you think about it? Or maybe I should say, what do you think about being called Shoshana, Shoshana?"
Although they had selected the name for her, it'd be important to get the opinion of the Frei in question, especially when the one in question was so verbal and intuitive so fresh out of the tank. Not to say he was doubting this one or her opinion of the name but you never knew! Strong-willed Raevans were quite the barrel of surprises at times!

align=justify]What she thought of the name was immediately made apparent when the Frei was sent into a series of spins before circling the group a couple of times. When she stopped in her original place once more her fins and wings were beating so quickly it looked as if they were simply vibrating in place.
"Sho-sha-na." She tested the name out a few times before rushing forward and wrapping her arms around Phoenix, giving him the tightest of hugs.
Startled, Phoenix flailed briefly and looked very alarmed. When the shock washed over him he placed his arms delicately around the Raevan, then relaxed and hugged her close. There was no stopping it now. He was silently crying, tears rolling down his cheeks.
After a few moments Shoshana let go of her Guardian and hurried over to extend the same hug to Zoe. Zoe was much less hesitant, immediately wrapping her small arms around her new sister and hugging her tight.
"I like it very much, yes!" Shoshana exclaimed as she leaned away from Zoe a bit, simply gushing with approval and gratitude. She had a name! She had a family! Was life always this grand? She had only been awake and alive for a few hours, but everything was already so wonderful. Was this what she had to look forward to?
Phoenix chuckled softly, wiping his face with the back of his arm and sniffing.
"I'm glad," he said, feeling a bit of relief. Babies were easy. They couldn't decide until later on if they liked their name or not and at that point would be more or less stuck with it. He didn't know what they would have done if she hadn't liked her name. "Welcome to the clan," he joked.

Well the answer to that was more than satisfactory! Zeke felt a well of fondness bubble up in his chest when the Hippocampus - no, Shoshana - launched herself at Phoenix and bundled him up in the biggest hug he had seen all day. She then zipped off to hug her new sister, leaving her Guardian a teary-eyed mess that, in turn, caused a few prickles at the corners of the vet's own eyes. With a silly grin he reached across the coffee table to tap the other man in the arm with his knuckles and gave him a wink for added measure.
"Well I say that settles that matter quite easily then!" He barked a laugh and poised his pen, ready to write. "S-H-O-S-H-A-N-A?" He gave Phoenix a politely quizzical look, speaking the letters of the girl's name without yet putting them down in ink. He wanted to be absolutely positive he had the right spelling. "Or are you thinking two N's instead?"
While he waited for confirmation Zeke looked over at the two girls, curious about the prospect of a Raevan having a sibling right off the bat. Some Raevans surely did think of one another as siblings and perhaps in time their Guardians might have children of their own which would give that person's Raevan a sibling in that vein, but he didn't think he knew of any Guardian who had already had children right off the bat who weren't already in their senior years or close to it. It would make for an interesting dynamic and it was kind of cute when he realized that Zoe, although obviously younger looking than her new sister, was in fact the older of the pair.
"So Zoe, are you ready to show Shoshana here how to be a good kid? I'm counting on you to show her how to do all kinds of fun stuff you know!"
