"Perfect! she beamed, flitting off towards the dressing room with a girlish prance.
She came back moments later in the aforementioned outfit, her original set floating close by her in a neatly folded pile. She stopped before him, smiling a sort of shy smile accompanied by a small courtesy. "I had been practicing... or well... thinking about how to best act to match this outfit." she said softly, doing her best to try that shy girl thing she saw on some movie. Someone out there watching would love it, right?

The little unicorn's eyes went wide as his classmate trotted up to him in the new top. It was simple sure, but he felt that it really complimented her beauty rather than competing with it like something more detailed might of. Regal didn't need lace and frills to look pretty, she shined no matter what.
"Great! We'll get rolling once we both get to our places. You just need to stand over by the donut counter and i'm going to walk in. Okay?" He gave her an encouraging smile as he led her over to the proper position.

Regal nodded, following next to him like a giddy school girl. Which she pretty much was but that wasn't exactly the point right now. Aah she could already feel the butterflies in her tummy! "When will I know to speak? You will let me know right?!" she peered at him, wanting to be sure she was absolutely perfect for him. For the camera. For the fans watching. For herself.
Pfff who was she kidding, she was already perfect! They'd probably all swoon and fall over soon as she opened her mouth to speak, no matter what came out!

Ah, an excellent question. Synth gave Regal a smile, "well, just like if you were actually ordering donuts, they'll ask you want you want to order. But if you want to be careful i can just signal you." He gave her a reassuring nod.
"You'll be fine. I've gotta head to my position now."

Oh sure, why hadn't she thought of that! Of course they'd say something to prompt her. "Thanks Synth!" she smiled, tossing a small wave as he trotted over into place and she to her's. She smiled up at the other pony behind the counter, giving him her best adorable princess look. Several questions flashed through her mind but she shrugged them off. No need to be silly Regality! You've got this! Your going to be a super star very soon! Just wait until the stallion asks you and you see the cue from Synth then order a jelly donut. Easy peasy!

"No problem," he smiled, heading over to the position on the set he was supposed to start the scene in. As the director called action the red colt moved across the stage, from the fake door heading over towards the donut counter to speak with his character's friend. The little unicorn took a deep breath to prepare himself, then spoke.
"Katie! You'll never guess what happened today! Emerald and I went out to this place the jewels call a preschool! It was full of monsters!" Synth tilted his head, glancing towards one of the other actors behind the counter who appears downtrodden. "Katie, what's wrong with Mars?" "Oh it's nothing, right Mars?" The mare playing the character Katie gave the stallion a nudge. "Why don't you go help that customer with their order!" The stallion trudges off, heading towards where Regal is waiting by the edge of the counter and asks her what she would like. As the cue was given, Synth cast a glance the filly's way, expectant. He was curious as to what his classmate would come up with for her order. It was probably her favorite kind of donut, that would be easy for her to remember. For a moment he bit his tongue and wondered if maybe her favorite was chocolate...

AAHHHH!!!
She was actually on a set!! SHE WAS BEING FILMED! Well, sort of. The way the camera was, she was more like in the background? But that didn't matter. SHE WAS ON CAMERA!
As the scene began she really had to stop and admire Synth. It seemed to come so naturally to the red foal. But she was a quick learner, and she'd do him proud. She waited for him to finish talking and watched as the Stallion came over to take her order. She noted him glance her way and she smiled. She had rehearsed the line in her head so many times she couldn't fail now! She'd be perfect!
Looking up with the cutest smile she spoke. "One chocolate smelly donut please!"

For a moment the entire set was silent. You could almost hear crickets chirping, before Synth spoke up.
"Man, it's so clever of you guys to add lavender to the chocolate donuts to increase their fragrance! Was that your idea Mars? No wonder you guys made it the special! It's such a great idea!" The colt cheerfully improvised before returning to his original lines. He really hoped Regal wasn't too embarrassed. People slipped up with their lines all the time. It wasn't that unusual for phony to be nervous on set.

Regality continued smiling as she peered at the stallion over the counter.... who just kept looking at her with this face that was a mix of confusion and amusement at the same time.
Tilting her head, Regality blinked and slowly glanced around as best she could without moving her head too much. The realization of what had happened began to hit her and her eyes began to grow large, round and watery. She bit back a sniffle, but only just barley when Synth filled the silence with a line that no doubt had to be off the top of his head and all the while making it seem so natural too.
She peered at Synth, hearing some of the off site crew start laughing, which didn't make her feel better exactly, but at least it didn't seem like they were all laughing at her. Or so she hoped anyways...

As the scene wrapped up and the director called cut, Synth moved towards his companion, throwing a hoof around her shoulder. "Smelly donuts, that's a new one." He chuckled, giving the filly a smile to try and cheer her up. Everyone got nervous their first time on camera, but Regal was taking it hard.
Synth bit his lip as he noticed the tears forming in the other foal's eyes. "You know, the first time i was on camera i was supposed to say to my character's friend 'why'd you pick those?' But, instead i ended up saying 'why'd you pick my nose?' The crew wouldn't stop teasing me about it for weeks." He let out a giggle, hoping Regal would understand that it happened to everyone and that maybe she would cheer up.

Sniffling, Regality looked first at Synth's leg as it was thrust around her neck in a sort of hug. Normally she might have pulled away but she was too lost in despair over the fact that she may have just ruined her entire career before it even begin! And then Synth told her something that sounded utterly rediculous.
Blinking, a small shy smile formed over her features as she rubbed some tears from her eyes. A short giggle escaped her lips a few moments after. "Really? You really said that?" She blinked at him, another small laugh fleeing from her vocals.

Synth gave a nod, managing to blush a deeper shade of red at the fact that Regal was actually allowing him to hug her. Not only had she seen him act today, but he'd actually gotten to touch her! What a great day! "Yep! Everyone messes up every once and a while! Especially on their first time. You just gotta play it cool on camera and make it seem like it's on purpose and everyone will just brush over it."

Wiping a few more tears from her eyes, a smile crept over her muzzle and her embarrassment faded slowly. She now couldn't stop the giggles that kept bubbling from her lips and she leaned into Synth to return his hug proper. "Thank you, that really made me feel better!" she said softly, gently pulling away and taking a deep breath. After letting it out slowly, she was back to her usual self though this time with an added smile and a laugh.
