Orpheus Solon

Naqenni moved with her sister through the trees, mostly instinct guiding her movements by now, though she enjoyed sometimes to pay special attention to detail in the trees, just to appreciate the process. It wasn’t as straight forward as running on ground level, but if she pushed herself, it could almost have been turned into a similar sport, darting through the trees like an elevated obstacle course—but there was no time for that today.

They were hunting something. ‘What’ precisely became obvious when they closed in on the shaking trunk, and Naqenni watched from a more distant crouch with interest.

Limbara truly were large creatures, and impressive in their might alone. To look down at it and attempt to imagining trying to ride a back like that—well, perhaps a saddle could be fashioned or a way found to make the thing mountable. She glanced up when she’d been asked a question.

Without answer, she nodded. There was little in her arsenal that could be used to take down that without killing it. Where younglings of the beast might be, she couldn’t say, but Cey seemed to have some idea coming out here, and if nothing else, Naq had learned the location to one and some insight into her sister’s progress in attaining her beast.

Ceylinae turned to look toward her sister who was watching the massive beast, then looked back to the limbara again. She watched the creature as it stopped scratching itself against the tree, turning its head toward their direction for a moment, then away. It seemed that with them in the tree they weren't exactly seen as being viable 'prey' for it. They were up to high, where it couldn't reach, and not even worth getting worked up over.

It was something that Ceylinae was relieved over as she really didn't want to face off against a large, dangerous, loner of a limbara. She'd rather leave the beast to do its own thing while she followed and learned more about the Limbara. It would mean that she would know more about them, things like favored food for instance. She wanted to get all the details possible about the beasts before she finally got her hands on her own limbara.

Turning to look at Naqenni she said, "I am going to follow that one for a while. I want to see what I can learn from the beast. Will you come with me or no?" She'd invite her sister along even if the observations of the big beast might be a bit boring depending on how the beast decided to spend its time.

Naqenni glanced to Ceylinae at the offer, and then down to the creature in question. There was no telling how long it would be before it did anything interesting, let alone useful—if ever. But then, there had been no telling they would necessarily find anything on their trip out, so already, it was the biggest thing going for them in the moment. Not to mention, Naqenni had never been so near to a fully wild limbara before. Her only real experience had been with Lumikani’s.

So, after a moment’s debate, she nodded. She’d follow for some time, at least, and if the venture at some point began to seem more time consuming than it was worth, she’d leave then. For now, she still had no strong idea as to how to attain her own beast that she needed to progress to the next stage of her training, and this was at least forward footwork on that account.

“For now,” Naqenni said.

The Only Black Uke

Ceylinae gave a nod of her head before she started forward, moving carefully through the tree that the two of them were sitting in, "I'm going to try to get a bit closer." Once she got to the end of the branch she was standing on and jumped across to the next tree. Once she landed she wind milled her arms to regain her balance, then moved through the branches to get closer to the limbara.

Once she was as close as she dared to get she went still, not wanting to risk the thing trying to knock the tree over to get at her. She wanted to learn more about the Limbara in a manner that was safe, not a manner that involved her becoming a snack for one of them. From her new perch she watched the creature as it went shuffling forward and was suddenly snapping it jaws in some underbrush, dragging forth a keldari that it swallowed down rather swiftly. Alright, so they liked keldari, huh? She had to admit she was impressed with the limbara's hunting abilities since she knew that keldari were a bit dangerous themselves.

She couldn't help but to feel even more excited over the idea of making friends with a limbara of her own now. As if that were even possible. Once the limbara was done with its keldari it set to scratching around and circling around the area, possibly looking for more keldari? Settling down on her perch she prepared for a long sit as it didn't seem as though the limbara was wandering that far, but instead just seeking out something more to eat or so she assumed.

They were in for a long evening.

And patience was still not Naqenni’s strong suit. But there was nothing to be done about it at the moment. So, with a resigned grunt, she settled her weight back to the trunk of their tree, head tipping to observe the limbara—and then Cey, as she moved. After observing in particular the tight hug of Ceylinae’s tracking pants to the curve of her rear and thighs, Naqenni shifted her position again for comfort and stability, folded her hands behind her head, and shut her eyes.

“Wake me if it does anything interesting.”

Ceylinae glanced over at her sister as she was told to 'wake her if it did anything interesting' which had her starring a moment. She then looked away and said, "Sure thing, sister." She might be so inclined, though if Naqenni meant to nap through the observations it wasn't Ceylinae's fault if she missed some vital information. She would just wake her up if the beast did anything that would be see as being really interesting. Like in depth hunting or maybe interactions with another Limbara? For the moment though she was happy with keeping the subtle stuff to herself since she was working hard to make sure that she was able to keep up with her other sisters.

Settling into her spot she continued to watch the beast for a while. A shame she didn't have something to take notes in but that wasn't something she meant to worry about right now. She could commit it all to memory for now and take notes when she got home. No reason to worry, instead she just had to pay close attention to every last detail!

Which she'd end up doing for some time, her attention now fully on the beast, forgetting for a time about everything else that usually filled her mind.
