loth17 "That's fine." The man said as he pressed a button on his phone. "They should be here to pick us up in about...Thirty seconds?" The man sat there silently while in the distance a faint noise could be heard. Not like any a man made vehicle would produce. He turned his head to glance out the window, trying to make out the sound. He recognized it as being gem in origin, but couldn't place what kind of machine it could've been, "I'm assuming that's who we're waiting for?"

Sinful Archives loth17 "That's fine." The man said as he pressed a button on his phone. "They should be here to pick us up in about...Thirty seconds?" The man sat there silently while in the distance a faint noise could be heard. Not like any a man made vehicle would produce. He turned his head to glance out the window, trying to make out the sound. He recognized it as being gem in origin, but couldn't place what kind of machine it could've been, "I'm assuming that's who we're waiting for?" "Yes it is." The man said as the clouds above them scattered to reveal a giant red vehicle. It was like two pyramids fused at their sides and it's surface was perfectly smooth. It descended until it was only about thirty feet above the car. It's bottom corner split open at each edge and released a red beam that pulled the car up and into the ship. The ship was larger on the inside than on the outside like most small ships but it was not a small ship. Clear was escorted out of the car and into a large central area. Surprisingly (Or not) the ship was not driven by gems but by humans using a modified version of the standard gem interface.

Clear followed the humans who escorted him without question, and was visibly impressed by all the activity around him. Humans using gem technology? He had known Rose's core group had gotten a comprehensive understanding of human technology, but it was completely new information to him that humans had come to understand gem technology. Though, eventually he did have some questions, and asked the nearest human, "how did this, Red Beryl find me? What does she want my prescence for?"

He furrowed his brow, a little uncomfortable at the idea of being tracked, but at the same time, if she or someone else capable of tracking him did want to hurt him, he would've been bubbled, poofed, or shattered by now for sure, "well, most of my abilities are compromised but, I guess I can do the best I can and hope it's enough."

"Hmm." The man stopped to think. "Sorry I don't like the next room we're passing through." The elevator began to slow to a crawl as it reached it's destination. The double doors opened to reveal a long hallway lined with the light cages used to hold gems. In each was one or more corrupted gems pacing around their cells. The moment they noticed Clear and his escort they rushed to the front of their cells only stopping once the bars began to disrupt their forms.

He flinched, unprepared as one monster hit the bars of its enclosure next to him, "shouldn't these poor creatures be in bubbles? So they won't need to suffer?" He was terrified for one other reason, though; corrupted gems were a constant reminder that being chipped, despite its frustrating handicaps, wasn't the absolute worst thing that could've happened to him in the war. He could've continued to exist and lost himself entirely, a fate he felt was worse than shattering. Tears pricked at his eyes from the thought of it a bit.

The door leading to the cages closed completely negating the sound. "I must advise you not to make any loud noises. Ready?"

And tried to prepare himself for whatever was behind it, "I think I'll be okay regardless, though." "Red Beryl has ordered us to keep a special watch on this specific gem. Don't tell her I said this but the way she talks about it is not like the others. She is far kinder. I think it might have been a gem she knew before the corruption." The man said as he opened the door. This room was far larger than any of the cages in the prior one. In the center was a massive transparent cage with a habitat inside of it. Unlike the other cages this one looked like something a rich person my buy for their pet. In the center was a large white humanoid figure. It was female in form and had the shape of a dancer mixed with a tree. Atop it's neck there was no head but on it's stump rested it's gems. Three pearls embedded in it's pale flesh. The man walked around the cage slowly. The creature seemed to follow his movement by rotating it's neck. When it turned to look at Clear the three pearls in it's stump seemed for a single moment to blink

"Oh," He covered his mouth when he felt the sound, which wasn't above that of normal speaking volume, leave his mouth. He couldn't help but seem fascinated, though unnerved, by the creature for a few moments, but continued to follow the man around the cage, "Is it... three gems fused? Those looked like, uhm... pearls," his cheeks flushed a bit, and he hated that they did and cursed himself internally. The creature, or creatures perhaps, were corrupted for stars' sake!

Those looked like, uhm... pearls," his cheeks flushed a bit, and he hated that they did and cursed himself internally. The creature, or creatures perhaps, were corrupted for stars' sake! "That is how it would appear. I'll admit I don't know too much on that particular subject." The man said in a hushed whisper. As they walked around the enclosure the pearl fusion kept a single finger following them from the other side of the glass. It seemed rather unconcerned compared to it's fellow gems.
