Rowan started digging around the front of her jacket fishing for her pockets. "Never a dull moment I'm sure. Although Dair seems more like the calm collected ones people wish for," unlike the whirlwind she and her siblings had been. "Here," out of her pocket came out a crystal point. She brought it close to her lips and whispered to it a few words. The energy signaling that magic was in the works hung in the air crisp and fine. When she uncovered the rock there appeared to be a dim glow fading rapidly.
"This friend here usually warns about evil entities around. If there's anything lingering it will crack or break," she placed quartz in Nell's hands. "Just incase. Rocks imbued with magic -even curses- tend to be excellent carriers, hence they're my preferred tools and I'm sure you've found out from personal experience. What kinds of things did it show you?" Rowan smiled curiously.
"Well it sounds a lot like my dad when we talk. He's not in this plane anymore," he scratched his head. "It also asks a lot of things like my dad would do, 'how was your day? Clean your plate, help your aunt!'" He mimicked the words in the deepest voice he could manage. "I wouldn't wanna be a tree. They can't do anything if there's a fire and that would just suuuuck," his eyes widened as he recalled the forest fires in southern Gaia. "But I guess they're pretty hardy and good for lots of things," he walked to the general area Dair had instructed him to and gasped.
"By the gods!" he turned circles in place. "Jackpot!" Rhys' smile could not get any wider. He rushed back to Dair and wrapped his arms around him to give him the best hug he could give to a flying torso. "Dair that was awesome you're the best! There's so many!! Oh man Ro's gonna be so happy we've never found this many before." Enthusiastically he started to snip at the full grown weeds thanking them individually.

"He is that!" she said with a bark of laughter. "Maybe he'll start rubbing off on me a bit, that couldn't hurt." Though, she supposed thinking back on it, she was a bit quieter, at least while she was home. It just felt weird to be too loud around him sometimes. An indication of this was how she quietly sat and watched whatever it was Rowan was doing, a question clearly at the tip of her tongue but left unsaid until she was done. The question was never asked, though, when the quartz was pressed into her hand. Her mouth formed a small 'o' of surprise as she held it up to her face, trying to see if any of the glow still remained. "Thank you! That's...wow. Thanks!" Her hands settled back in her lap, both of them cradling the piece of crystal while one of her thumbs absently ran along the edges of it. "It was mostly things in the corners of my eye, they mostly looked like shadowy people? But I also heard.....kind of like when you can hear someone talking in the next room but can't tell what they're saying? Though it find of felt like it was coming from..." One of her hands waved in the air right over her shoulder briefly before returning to her lap. While her words still sounded a bit hesitant, there was no longer the edge of fear that they had had when she was talking about it before. Her fingers slowly curled around the piece of crystal, drawing it a bit closer towards her body as she spoke. "What...." His eyebrows furrowed slightly at Rhys' words, trying to puzzle them out in his head and failing. But by then Rhys had moved on to another subject. "Older trees don't mind fires so much, I think. They have pretty thick bark." Though thinking about trees being on fire made him wrinkle his nose and hunch his shoulders slightly. The hug threw him for a bit of a loop, and he only managed to give him an awkward pat on the head before he rushed off in the direction he pointed him towards. He slowly hovered after the boy after he nearly jumped into the patch of plants, watching him collect the herbs for a moment in silence.

Rowan smiled at her warmly. There was a certain joyus feeling that came with gifting. She nodded as Nell listed off some of her experiences.
"I wonder if the stone held an entity with it then. Or if it belonged to someone and they couldn't let go of it in the afterlife. That's not entirely uncommon," she hummed thoughtfully. "You know what they say about letting dogs sleep and whatnot," or something like that. She brought her hands up to her face and blew warm air into them. Rubbing them together reminded her of trying to make fire with a piece of stick. Oh how torturous the process had been. She craned her head to take a look at where Rhys had gone.
Rhys hanged on to his very word. He had no doubt Dair knew what he was talking about in regards to trees and fire. "Good thing you have thick bark then, eh?" Although he couldn't know that for certain it had seemed pretty hard when he had knocked on him in comparison to the soggy treebark this time in the season. Once he was done stuffing his satchel the young boy held a bountiful bouquet in his arms. He grinned at the Raevan and offered a handful of the flowers to him.
"It's like an all purpose weed. I put it under my pillow to help me fall asleep faster, Ro dries it up and uses it like incense. It doesn't have a pleasant smell but supposedly it's good for keeping away flies. It's also supposed to be really good to flavor food but I wouldn't know because I don't ever use it when I cook maybe my great auntie does... but if she does then it doesn't taste like anything strong" he started to walk back towards the area the two women where located at. "Speaking of food what do you eat? Is your stomach where your heart is?"

"I'd have to ask the folks up at the Lab about it, but it'd probably be good to figure out anyways," her gaze followed Rowan's, watching the two boys carefully pick their way through the underbrush in the search of....something. "Might give me a better idea of what to expect with him, kinda stumbling around in the dark for now." Though she supposed that wasn't unusual for any children, magical floating torsos or no.
"Yes!" Hopefully he would never have to put it to the test in that way, but it was at least a comforting thought. With a look of surprise at Rhys, he gently took the offered bundle of herbs, holding them up to his face to get a better look at them.
"Thank you! Um," He looked back at Rhys, then down at where his stomach should be. "I don't think I have a stomach, I don't really eat anything. I think I'll grow one later? Some of the other Raevans I met have one." He gestured down to where a waist and hips would be on him if he were to have any. "I think they can eat normal food, but I haven't asked any of them about it."

Rowan chuckled. “Well I hope you don’t mind keeping this nosey old lady updated,” she shifted her body to face the young ones. “Oh my I haven’t seen these many purplehearts in a long time! How fortunate,” her eyes held a curious twinkle to them as she glanced at Dair. Coincidence? “I was starting to think the plant had gone extinct!”
The young boy filed that bit of information away for when he had dinner later on. He wondered how his aunt would react to know Dair simply existed from eating nothing! Rhys hadn’t stopped smiling since they found the weed. Usually when they came they only found a handful, with this many they could spare to sell a bit of it.
“The trees told Dair where they were,” he informed them, full of giddiness or perhaps cold. “I picked every single one of them,” he announced proudly, standing a little straighter. He started to arrange the bouquet in his arms.
Rowan returned her attention to Nell and rubbed her hands together. "We are very fortunate to have met you both today. It spares my bones from coming back in the colder days. Now unfortunately if we wish to get back home before the sun sets we should head to the station soon. We live in Barton Town you see and while it's a straightforward drive here the bus has to make several stops on the way back," she reached into her pocket and took out a business card that had 'The Crystal Map - Metaphysical Shop' written next to a small map of the location. "If you happen to be around one day you're more than welcomed in our home."

"Of course not! Let me know when your Raevan comes around, I'm sure Dair'll love to meet them!" Probably. He seemed to be friendly enough with meeting new people. She took the offered card, giving it a quick look before sticking it in her pocket. Dair nodded along with Rhys, about to put the handful of herbs in his pocket like he did with everything else that he tended to pick up, but at the sight of Rhys displaying his proudly he simply held them in his hands, turning them this way and that while Nell and Rowan spoke. "It was great meeting you two, I'm sure some of us might find your shop interesting," a nudge to Dair's arm made him look up sharply, only to frown at a quick wink from Nell. "Our information should be listed with all of the Lab stuff you got, feel free to give us a call anytime!""Thank you for showing me these," Dair added quietly to Rhys, lifting the herbs by way of explanation.

"Oh you will definitely be hearing from me, that's a promise," she tightened her shawl and as before leaned over to give them parting pecks. She smiled knowingly at Nell. Although she didn't get to speak with the Raevan as much she had no doubt she would be hearing all the details from Rhys. She beckoned him to follow. "Come along now."
"Bye Nell! Bye Dair! I hope we can go weed hunting again," he gave them each a one armed hug before scurrying over to his great aunt's side. He waved at them before and then again when they were smaller figures in the distance and one last time just in case. Somewhere in the distance a bell echoed, marking the fresh start of a new hour.
