Did he want to fill her in on things? Not really. As far as he knew, she hadn't been sucked into the whole mess of cycles. There wasn't much reason for her to begin, now.
"It is better if you do not know."

Her eyes widened a little. That sounded like the kind of statement mafia people said in movies. "Is it ... Is is that bad? Do you need help? A place to stay?"

Shun slowly stared up at June. What exactly did she think he meant by that?
"What? No. Nothing like that."

"Oh ... oh gosh phew." She had already been digging through her pockets for a scrap of paper to write her address down on.
"If it might affect our work though ... I'd really like to know." She wrung her hands. "That and ... I'd like to be someone you can talk to, if that's okay."

He shook his head, "I do not think it will affect our work in particular."
Or rather, it shouldn't. Shun could try to bring that mess to work, but it would go very poorly all around. It wasn't worth it.
"The offer is appreciated, but I do not really need..."

June waited for him to finish the sentence, blinking slowly.

"Taking a day off, coming in very tired and throwing away perfectly good stickers-" She adjusted her glasses slightly. "-does not seem fine, Mr. Kuroda, sir. It worries me a little that whatever it is is taking up so much energy."
(Because something evil had to be the reason he threw away the stickers; no sane person would do that).

"...The sticker was pointless. That has nothing to do with anything," Shun stated flatly. Why was she upset about a sticker? The detective let out a huff and shook his head, "Failure is always a draining thing to experience. It is nothing life threatening. It just simply is. I am fine, June."

Okay so maybe the sticker was a little pointless.
"What failure?"

June had overstepped the limits of her anxiety and decided that was the most she could do for the time being.
"I will respect that of course, sir." Her face looked somewhat disappointed but she was meek. "I will bring you some tea on my way back around, okay?" She did actually have a job to do.
"Um ... I know that I'm just a secretary here, but I do want to help all of you. If you need help scheduling shifts related to your secrets or someone to help with some extra database research or even outside of work I can um-" Her eyes went back to the ground.
"Sorry. Okay. Tea. Leaving, sir. Thank you." She turned and started to walk back towards the door. She was now going to spend the rest of the day obsessing over how terribly this conversation had gone and what she would have said differently and rest in pieces June Liu.
