"Cute," Temperance said, laughing a little, and snapped a picture. She took two others in quick succession, just in case. Maybe she'd try for a candid later. "I don't think it's big enough to be considered a park, really. But here, who knows?" Putting her phone down, she made a note to get Tibbie's number so she could text her the pictures.

The glowing lights moved closer, and Temperance turned around, facing them. "Ugh. Those things are, um, not hurtful - but not really fun." She pointed to them. They were touchable but disorienting in extreme. But there were only a few here.

"That's true," Isobel giggled, one hand putting a wayward lock of hair back behind her ear. She'd never had as many pictures taken of her as since she moved to Ashdown; at least, by people that weren't relatives - family albums she had plenty of.

Turning around with Temp, she noted the glowing wisps and the other girl's reaction with curiousity; "not fun? What are they? They look like will'o'the wisps, or bog lights! Do they lead people astray too?" That would definitely qualify as 'not fun' in her book - getting lost was such a hassle, but not really hurtful either, so it fit.

"No, they kind of phase through you, um, like Luminescents." Wait, Tibbie wouldn't know that reference... "Like... they show you weird things and then fade and it feels gross. I mean, if you wanna try, though, I'm right here." Temperance shrugged. It might be good to know how they disoriented and rank them in the list of bad to what the ******** that rainy Ashdown offered.

"Better than alone, right?"

SORRY FR TAKING A BIT ;0;

Tibbie cocked her head to the side, considering the jellyfish-wisp-thing for a long moment. Did she really want to try? On one hand, it was something magic that she hadn't experienced before; on the other hand, Temp had distinctly said that it was Not Fun.

"Right," she said slowly, at last. One hesitating glance to Temperance, and then she stepped forward to touch one.

There was a bright flash, or at least she thought there was, as the wisp coalesced around her hand and then there was the imprint of someone's voice lowly whispering 'I wish you'd never been born' with a vehement level of restrained hate that made goosebumps appear on Isobel's skin. It felt like someone had turned her inside out and put a nasty thought in her head that wasn't hers, but for a moment it had really felt as though it was-

"Ugh!" Tibbie shook her head and her hand, barely noticing that the murmur was gone now. "T-that really does feel gross!" Making a face, she stepped back to Nibbs and Temperance, running her hands up and down her arms to try and make the nasty feeling go away. "Well, I guess I can cross that off my bucket list. It said-" she stopped, looked distant for a moment and then shook her head again, "no, nevermind."

"You okay? I don't think... like, I don't think it's about us, necessarily." Temperance remembered feeling clammy, unsettled. It was weird.

"An alternate Ashdown bucket-list sounds kind of dangerous, Tibbie." She laughed a little. "Do you want to go or poke around for a bit, still?" Thought she wasn't sure how they'd go. She kind of appeared here whenever and summarily left whenever. No rhyme nor reason.

"I hope not," she bit her lip before shaking her head, trying to shake the thought. "No, it couldn't have been-" because surely she hadn't managed to offend someone this severely in the time she'd been here in Ashdown? And if it was the thought of someone from back home in Denmark, it would have been in Danish, probably. So she attempted to put the words behind her, as best she could.

At Temperance's words, she giggled lightly in return, still slightly frazzled. "No, I don't suppose that's a very good idea; I do want to learn more about magic, but probably not the dangerous kind." Isobel smiled, face a bit drawn. "Just the happy things, if that's even possible. Things like wargs and fairy lights and flower crowns!" The thought of these things were cheering her up already; that and Madam Nibbs pawing at her legs.

Obligingly she knelt down and opened her bag, letting the little tortie crawl up into it and curl into a ball there. The added weight felt good, grounded her despite the surroundings and the feeling of the wisp jellyfish - half-mindedly she ran a hand through Nibbs' wet fur, knowing that a happy purr would ensue at the action. "No, I think I'm good for today - the jellyfish put a bit of a dampener on things, admittedly. We should probably start looking for an exit." She smiled shyly at the other girl, "but, um, maybe I could get your number and we could meet up another day or something? And compare magic notes! Or, ah, something?"

"I, uh... most of this magic stuff isn't, um, happy. Just be prepared, I guess." She frowned at Tibbie. Soon enough, the girl would have something bad happen, Temperance was sure of it. She flexed her fingers restlessly. Then she grabbed her phone out of her purse. Still, her mood was considerably dimmed.

"Yeah. Here - text me, my number is 555-843-2025. I'll text you back." Considering Temperance's track record with texts, it might be the only text message the other girl got from her. "Hmm, let's go find a bunch of doors to walk through and see how we get home, then."

"So I'm beginning to learn," Tibbie smiled tiredly, still appreciative of the advice. Temperance obviously knew a lot more than her about these things, after all - it would be foolish not to heed her words.

"Will do!" Brightening up slightly at the mention of further contact with the other girl, she quickly got out her phone and tapped Temp's number in. "I'll send you one as soon as we're back in, um, normal Ashdown." Stowing the phone away again, she nodded to the suggestion and moved to follow Temperance. "Let's do that!"
