"The communicator's really neat" Liryn said, purplish eyes watching in satisfaction as the other mauvian's communicator booted up.
"It's voice-activated, which is useful for those of us that can't access the other form" and whilst Liryn was one of the mauvians that could access the other form, it didn't detract from the cat communicator's usefulness - at least not in his eyes.
"It can also do pretty much most of what the senshi phones can do" although to his everlasting disappointment it didn't have a space travel function...
Although he could always cover his space travel ambitions by pestering senshi and knights for wonder and home world invites.

"It is! Thank you again for helping me to get it to work.It would be wonderful to contact the soldiers I have awakened and to check up on them at my leisure instead of having to track them down by foot... So much easier, for certain." His tail swished excitedly as he paw'ed the device a bit more curiously, before finding his own satisfaction with it.
Brioche paused for just a moment before padding over to the smaller cat, gently giving his head a gentle bump/nuzzle of affection before stepping back again, sitting down on his hind legs. His eyes were bright and excited, happy with what had happened, and content with how the night turned out, even if he couldn't find his own senshi just yet.
"Liryn, I thank you again, and forever will, for showing me such kindness. May I call upon you with this device as well? I do not wish to be a pest, truly I do not, but I am rather alone most of the time. The company of another would truly be appreciated, even if ever so briefly. Perhaps being with you would help me find the one who needs me... "
Liryn gave Brioche a cheerful cat grin "They are pretty awesome" he agreed. "And it means that we don't have to make do with being contacted via senshi phone."
Which wasn't really the most reliable method anyway - particularly for those mauvians who didn't have regular access to a senshi and thus a senshi phone.
He frowned slightly at the other's mentioning of soldiers, because whilst it was true that there was a war, Liryn saw the senshi as much more than just..
Than just soldiers.
But the other mauvian's obvious excitement was infectious and Liryn couldn't help but give him a gentle head butt of his own in return.
"Oh there's no need to thank me" he said cheerfully "And sure you can scan me into your contacts and call me up."
Because Liryn was a mauvian that liked getting calls on his communicator - and he had already offered.

Perhaps the word soldiers was wrong to use, but it was true. They were his soldiers, ones he hated awakening and putting them into such danger. And now that he could find them more easily with this phone, he would do his best to try to be closer to them and fight by their sides.
"Communicator, please add Liryn to contacts." With the head bump returned, Brioche found his own happiness and cheer filling up within his chest. How wonderful it was to feel so light hearted after all this time! He came in once more, purring and rubbing against him slightly, licking his head a few times before paddling away before he was scolded for being too affectionate. It certainly would't be the first time he was shooed away for it.
"I should let you be, Liryn. I am sure you are busy, and I must keep up my hunting for this evening... I will call you soon, perhaps if only to enjoy your company on these long evenings."
Liryn couldn't help but wriggle a little under the other cat's ministrations because it made him feel like a kitten and he was anything but.
However his voice was cheerful as he agreed "Sure feel free to call me up anytime - I like getting calls."
And maybe on another occasion he could ask the bigger cat whether he knew how to do the senshi phone upgrade...
But that was a thing for another night, because Brioche was right - it was getting late.
He'd make a round around here Liryn decided, even as he raised a paw in farewell...
One round and then he'd toodle back to look in on the twins.

Brioche couldn't possibly seem happier when the smaller cat invited him to call. It would be wonderful! And he swore to himself not to become too much of a bother, even if the other had already provided him with such a warm feeling within his chest.
"Do not work too hard, tonight, Liryn. Even us Mauvians deserve a rest every now and then. And when you do, rest well." At the sign of farewell, the old cat also raised a paw before turning and heading back towards where the stray kittens he cared for lied. It would be another cold one, for sure.
