Autumn Smith 20/25, getting info "Va- oh, yeah! Hang on a second!" Autumn leaned back, and called back into the cellar.
"OI, VALE! You grab that wine yet?"

Slowly and carefully, Vale traced his way up the steps from the darkened cellar. In his hands laid a relatively cheap bottle of Three Blind Moose merlot, ca. 2013 production. He carried it until he reached the pair, whereupon he held it out to Autumn. „Yes, mistress.“
He paused then, and recognized his brother immediately. „Mynn! Mistress, please release him!“

"We're just chatting a bit, Bristling. You know I won't actually hurt him." Her look wasn't purely sympathetic, but it wasn't cold and cruel. Sympathetic, more like. She was exhausted of the forced anger, the bolstering violence taking control of her. Sure, she could play the part- she'd BEEN pissed about the dog, but... she wasn't a violent person. Not really. There was just a job to be done. Despite herself, she gave Blistering Vale a cold smile, and took the bottle of wine.
Back to Mynn, then.
"So you're Mynn, are you? Huh. Easier to find than I expected." This was not the Autumn Smith who had ambushed him, in the halls. This was the gentler, softer Autumn Smith, who was tired of fighting. Tired of hurting, of being hurt. She poured herself a glass of wine, and took a sip.
"I went ahead and took the two masks you had on you. Posterity and all that. But I was really hoping we could have a good heart-to-heart."

Mynn: 5/25, mistress? He rolled halfway onto his back so that he might clearly see who was speaking, even though he already knew.
"Okay. Yes. Vale is well. Fetching wine, but well." He frowned. It had been too much to hope that she hadn't found his masks, but what was done was done. Had he actually been wearing one, this whole thing would have been even more humiliating. "Don't trouble yourself with my brother's request. I can release myself."
At first it seemed his frown was simply deepening, the crease between his brows widening into a crevasse, then a chasm. But upon closer examination, the rest of him was shrinking too, hair and nose consumed by magic, limbs wicking flesh until the thing that lay where Rabbit once had was even thinner than he had been, a slightly smaller fetch than Autumn's new servant. He sat up, pushing the now loose ropes away from his skin.
"I am Mynn, I suppose. I did tell you he knew we were falling apart. That he was disappointed. I am." They were better than this, or at least he was. He sighed and folded his desiccated hands in his lap. "I'm ready for our sleepover."

Autumn Smith 20/25, enjoying the magic trick Rabbit melted away into Mynn, and the puzzle was one step closer to completion. Her smile was more genuine at the sleepover joke, more at ease now that she didn't have to blunder her way through angry encounters.
"I will knock your a** out if you try anything. We're gonna try this on peaceful terms, okay?" Another sip of wine.
"What are you guys? And just what the hell are good old Mumsy and Dadsy planning to pull on us tonight?"

Mynn: 5/25, droppin' truths "Yes. Peaceful. I am not a fighter anyway, though I will do what needs to be done. You frightened me, speaking of Vale as you did, and I'm... sorry." His teeth clicked together in annoyance, as if apologies were sour on his husk of a tongue.
Mynn sat silent and unmoving for a stretch, his pale, dull eyes slowly finding hers when he had finished thinking. "We are called fetches, as you might already know? I can't speak for the others, but I was once like you, before I agreed to be something else. But I don't want this anymore. We are meant to foment chaos, and I did. Rabbit's new life would be difficult for him to return to. But it's perfect for me. Or... getting there. He needs a real job. And..." Mynn touched his jaw as his focus wandered, distracted by his Rabbit Vaughn to-do list. "...orthodontia... of some sort." Looking up at Autumn again, he self-consciously cleared his throat.
"If this answer is acceptable, I can move on to the vast and varied plans of our little court?"

Autumn Smith 20/25, Healing MynnShe shook her head dismissively, and reached out to set her hands upon Mynn's frail arms.
"No, I made it sound that way. That was super specific. I would've reacted the same way. So.... I'm sorry," Autumn sighed, offering a weak apologetic smile. At the very least, Mynn seemed to understand and sympathize- unlike Alois, who had decided the whole of humanity (and her) were simple for wanting better for themselves.
"Yeah, Bristling Vale was telling me he did the same. So long as you didn't shoot a dog, we don't got beef." And with that, Autumn closed her eyes, and began willing healing into the fetch before her.
"Keep talking. 'm listening."

He didn't seem to know what to do with his hands once she'd agreed that he should continue, finally crossing his arms over his chest as she leaned closer to heal him. Mynn did feel better once she was done, his mind less prone to wandering off, but he worried that he would soon be hurting again once she found out he had very little to tell her.
"I certainly did not kill Rabbit's cat," he muttered. "But I'm afraid I don't have the sort of groundbreaking information you're looking for. In many ways I'm on the same level of "need to know" as your... friends? I was given a job and I did it. Anything I might have picked up along the way is little more than rumor." The fetch paused to think again, though he did it more quickly this time. "Vale mentioned me, didn't he? It's how you knew my name already. I'm afraid he was just listing people he was associated with to get himself out of trouble."

Autumn Smith 20/25, healing Mynn"Shocking," Autumn laughed quietly, completely and utterly unsurprised. At the very least, she knew what they were, now, and had a better idea of information to get back to one of the detectives. Someone who would have a lot more capability of dealing with this than she was. Nonetheless, he'd agreed to her terms, and they seemed... not intent on killing each other for the time being, at least. Which could be considered a bonus?
"And by shocking I mean, look how completely and utterly unsurprised I am. How come you could stay changed into Rabbit without your mask, and Blistering Vale couldn't?"

"Out of all the things I heard, the most prominent gossip centered around Ezra's desire to sacrifice The Sorrowful One," he added with a small shrug. No use being completely useless when she had chosen to remain civil. "And we are not forced to change unless our masks are stolen. In Rabbit's skin, being truthful about my actual nature is more difficult. Telling you my name, things like that."

"Who IS the Sorrowful One, anyway? It's... It's Melany, right? I thought they were like, butt-buddies," Autumn frowned, trying to puzzle it out. This whole thing was getting... confusing.
"No offense, Mynn. You've been helpful, but I'll be holding onto your mask for now. You gotta understand, we have... opposite goals. But I'm not gonna fight you anymore."

"She's... Prideful, Peaceful, Sorrowful. One of the triplets. If she's Melany too, then I'm farther out of the loop than I thought." Mynn seemed genuinely confused by this, but he didn't have time to dwell, sighing through his missing nose at her inevitable refusal to give back his mask. "All right. I understand." He swallowed, curiosity tickling at his mind even though he knew his question would only further lower her opinion of him.
"Would it be so bad? If I came back in Rabbit's place? I'm responsible, courteous, ambitious, stable. I am changing him for the better."

She pitied him. Really and truly, she did. Her face was overcast in the horrible shadow of this entire event, and Autumn sighed and turned away.
"That's not... I'm sorry, Mynn. It's not your life, it's not yours to take or live. Just kind of picking and choosing the perfect people in your life... that gets too eugenics for me. And I mean, hell, what would the better me be like that? It's not a choice I'd want made about me, and not one I can make for someone else."
Autumn stood up, sighing.
"...I want to help you, Mynn. I really do. If we can find you your own life... I'd like to find that for you, too."

Her words might have been kinder if they'd had even the slimmest chance of coming true. He had given up his own human life so long ago that he couldn't recall any of its specifics and there was no going back, no plan for getting a new one that didn't hinge on stealing it from someone else. He nodded once, straightening but not getting up.
"Thank you for being honest. I suppose I'm staying here then?"
