Yikes didn't quite begin to cover how confusing everything was. Temperance didn't even understand why she felt so strongly about this. It was usually so easy to leave everyone behind, to burn bridges because she didn't like the clutter of them existing. Temperance stared at Susan, mouth set in a sad line. As soon as she could find a servant, she'd send a note. Or something, anything. Reluctantly, she pulled her eyes from the girl.
"Yeah, it's b-better. Um. No, I don't want
anyone to die." She shuffled through her notes. "That Lace girl told me to kill the doubles or incapacitate them. I'm just.. I'm never been a fighter, you know. I heard some scuffling earlier - I'm sure some more active people are taking care of things." She somehow doubted there was very much for her to do at all.
"What do you want to do?"
